Default Should I really buy it for PS2?

Hello people!
Like I'm starting a Tomb Raider Collection so I'm going to collect the games for every console (I HAVE) aka PS2 / PSX / PC (and maybe Wii or PS3), and a friend of mine is selling me Underworld for the PS2.
I really wanted to buy it but I'm not confident of the game being good to the ps2 and since here in Portugal a pre owned game is almost the same price as a shiny new glossy pimpy one, I don't really know if I should buy it
And since here where I live there isn't NOTHING about games (just Noddy ones ) and I can't buy on the web, I'm pretty much screwed, I'm not going to wait until I'm 18 just to buy a game.
Anyways, the main question is, is TR - Underworld for the PS2 a good buy?

That depends, do you want it to play it, or are you wanting it for bragging rights? I haven't played the PS2 version, but I've read an overwhelming number of posts that indicate the Wii and PS2 versions are just plain bad. If you're planning to play it and not just have it for your collection, then I would definitely buy the PC or PS3 version if an old game sells for the same price of a new one. Otherwise, you'd just be wasting your money.

PS, Welcome to the forums!

Get PC, PS3 or X-box versions if you can. If it's for bragging rights then get the PS2 one but maybe not otherwise.

Thank you very much
I was going to buy it not for bragging rights, because when I buy something it's really to use it, I wouldn't like it to be on my shelve catching dust

Ok thanks I'm not really the kind of person who likes to brag like "OMG HAHAHA I HAVE AND YOU DON'T N00B LALAL" I really like to try what I use, but the person who's selling it to me is kind of... strange, so I don't really know if I should wait 'till I have money for the PC version (Has to be PC because I like modding outfits and all that things )
And about the Next Gen Consoles, I'm really confused between Wii / PS3 / X360 because I have sisters so If I want to buy I need to buy Wii because of them, but the Wii isn't really what is on my mind, which is kind of bad

But thanks anyways

If you have already played the PS3/360/ PC version and really want to play the PS2 version for comparative value only then yes get it, however only if it is cheap. Honestly, the PS2 version is a cut down version of the current gen version with only 3 short segments that make the game different from the others in a good way but still not worth buying.

If you want it so you'd have the game for every console you own, buy it... if not, don't... PC/PS3/XBOX360 versions are awesome....

Well, it depends on if you are going to play online or not, and if you are going to have friends or siblings over to play with you. if you like online play, you should get a computer, although computer games lag(run slowly) a LOT if you dont have a good one. If you like not online but more popular games and a larger variety of games, get the PS2. I would really suggest a PS3 tho if you can get it because it has online play and popular games, but the PS2 would be better if you already have a computer.
