Tough T3 reinstall problem

So I had an FM for T3 using Garrettloader (can't remember which one I think the one with climbing around in vents similar to Mission X). So one day I get this "You must change around back up this and registry that" I started to try the instructions but that solution didn't match what was on my PC. T3 had run fine many times and with an occasional crash, no biggie.
Things I've tried:
manual install.exe also from a copy from hard disk
deleted Tds files
deleted Garrettloader files
deleted installshield file {FC123EEA-330A-4685-911C-95B8F5E9DE68}
deleted registry's Thief Deadly Shadows entries
deleted registry's Garretloader entries
...sheesh you think I goofed my system?
the main symptom TDS hangs on the reinstall app. Is there a switch to force a install?

I tried closing apps and anti virus...same thing
But then I started windows in safe mode and now the Blood Line Opal is MINE!
Mine I tells ya mine! muhahahaha.
