Why was the Europe Collectors Edition changed?

Has there been any official answer as to why the Collectors Edition in Europe is different to the one in the USA?

This is the USA version



But Europe are getting this version


The Journal now looks like a normal basic notepad not leather bound.
Also the box is not Bat angled.

I'm sure it all boils down to cost or something stupid. But they are quite big differences in an already expensive collectors set.

I would be interested if any mods had a proper answer. Thanks.

I already asked this in our German BAA Forum but no one had a proper answer. I´m kind of disappointed with it. Why should we get something less worthy in Germany (and the UK?!) than in US?

I think what it comes down to is the marketing team for the different regions.

Wait. Doesn't the CE come with an actual game case? Like a normal PS3 case?

Aww, I won't be getting the collector edition (even if it's teeeempting!!), since I need the money to eventually buy the other awesome games that'll be released starting from October....
But it's true, the american version of said edition.... somehow looks better????? Seems unfair, if you ask me!

The EU CE has always been like this. It's important to point out that the content doesn't differ, just the manner of presentation.

It's not the normal case, it's nice but it's not like a normal game case. I think I have some spare sleeves here so perhaps I can send you one (and I still need to send a couple of others off that I've promised too). PM me.

It's not a cheap sleeve I've been told but by the same token it's not the normal box. I'll see if I can get an image of one, but I actually don't have one here.

Ok, that I can handle. So is it a different design on the box or a whole new kind of box..?

Cheap is probably not the word. But, probably fragile.

But, I love the sleeve editions. Can be quite cool.

A steelbook would have been my choice, but this should be pretty cool nontheless.
