Game Won't Launch - Ordinal Not Found

I am trying to launch the game for the first time, and I keep receiving the following error message...

ShippingPC-BmGame.exe - Ordinal Not Found
The ordinal 5360 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll.

I sent an email to Eidos support about this and they are telling me it is because my display drivers are not digitally signed. But, I have just updated my drivers from AMD (ATI), so I don't see why this would be.

Some of my system details:

Dell Dimension E510
Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz
2 GB RAM
Radeon X1800 GTO
Installed the game from DVD

Would love to play this game - any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same problem and it had nothing to do with display drivers (I have nVidia card, by the way). The reason was version of Microsoft's "Games for Windows - Live" software, apparently I had old version that came with another game.

Please try this update:

I can't believe Eidos' tech support wasn't able to simply tell me that, instead of going back and forth with me and wasting my time with the drivers.

well the dynamic link library (dll) is called xlive , so it's not really rocket science to see Xbox Live meaning Games For Windows Live software.eidos tech are just a bunch of...anyway they suck

same with me 2... there is an error saying the ordinal 494 could not be located in the dynamic library advapi32.dll

plz sumbody may help me wid this as soon as possible..

i have corrected the problem but my game is starting after many clicks.. i don't know why.. if sum1 could help me plzz dos so
