Crashing trying to use EXPLOSIVES on PC

When trying to use explosives, by pressing the middle scroll button on the mouse the game goes to the PC desktop.
I've tried to change my mouse settings with no joy.
Is there anyway in the game setup of changing the keyboard or mouse controls?
Please help I'm stuck in Arkham East at the Batmobile and can't go any further.

i don't think this will help you, but you can also use "R" to detonate (while holding the right mousebutton).

but i don't think it is because of your mousebutton. many people have crashes, but it is possible that it won't crash if you try it a second or a third time.
