TR3 Can't Get 1st Secret In Hi Security Compound

I am trying to get the first secret in the "High Security Compound" in TR3. I've jumped into the pit, pull the switch, walked around the grate and dropped down in but I cannot get the save power up crystal. I can see it but only thru the grate door. What am I missing or doing wrong?

i don't exactly know what you mean, i thought the first secret was in that prisoner's room with the movable crates...
i'm not much of a help, but you can try go to stella's site, she has some good walkthroughs and tips on every level good luck!
