It's a great game. I've played through the PS3 version and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not perfect, though, but what game is? It reminded me more of TR: Legend, which in my opinion makes it better than TR: Anniversary (which I wasn't keen on ).

I think TRU is a great game. It would be lovely if it had been longer and didn't have so many glitches and camera problems. But it's definitely worth playing in my opinion

It's definitely worth a try. It's extremely fun while it last... it's greatest problem though is short lenght (it's somewhere betweend Legend and Anniversary imho) and lesser replay value than TRL and TRA's (less unlockables, no option to replay level at will - you can either do the "treasure hunt" mode where all the puzzles are solved and enemies killed, or replay the whole game).
However if you like classic TR's I think you're gonna love it.

Yeah, and something, that I find annoying is, that it's not possible to watch the cutscenes from the menu. But well.. It's possible to survive without such an option

It's certainly more rubbish than good. I'm not as easily pleased as this lot.

You can "revisit location" once you start a treasure hunt by going to the PDA.

The 360 version autosaves at the start of every level and sublevel, those savegames can't be overwritten. So it is possible to replay every level that way.........is this not the same for the other versions?

Question Is It really that bad?

Hello guys....

As a new member, I would like to make a new thread in this forum. So if there's a thread similar like this,, feel free to delete it..

As one of Lara's Big Fans, I've been following Tomb Raider series since the first Tomb Raider was launched and play the series through anniversary. So , in this case, I haven't played Underworld because my computer can't play it. The requirement is little bit though...

As I've seen through game websites review, I saw Tomb Raider Underworld review on Gamespot. And I shocked a bit because that is the lowest score and review that Tomb Raider Underworld get.

For those who have played it, glitches, camera, gameplay that is too short, etc.. Is it really bugging all of you playing the game itself? Because, TR: Legend and Anniversary have the same problem but I haven't noticed anything and I played the game happily.

Thanks before.

Cheers!

You can read the reviews in the sticky section, called "user review thread" to see how other's think of the game.

I personally think that the game is fantastic. The glitches are rare (For me) to run into, and the camera does freak out if you move it in a strange way.

Story is short, game play is long (Depends on how you play).

Graphics are beautiful, as well as the whole story. I love the game. A great majority is expecting too much from this game, really.

Well, I have to tell all that have not played the game that there is nothing to fret about, and no it is not bad. In fact, this is the greatest game in Tomb Raider history! Anyway, the camera issue, ugh... for me, there was no camera issue, that, and my friends agree, is a rarity. So, if you can, pick up a copy, because Tomb Raider Underworld is awesome. Oh, and if you're worried about the critics, Game Informer gave it 8.75, so pretty much, yeah, how good can it get? LOL! But seriously, the game is great! PICK IT UP!!! LOL!

As a Tomb Raider game it's not very great. It's beautifully made, lots of eye-candy and intriguing details.
But it kinda ends there.
Like Legend it's way too short for me, Lara simply doesn't resemble herself anymore, the Amanda/Natla plot bores me and seems so weird in this game and there isn't enough Archaeologist Explorer despite them trying to wiggle in mythology.

However as a Tomb Raider fan it's of course a must buy and must play I feel all the TR games are.
Personally I hope they move in a completely new direction after this with a new plot and everything.
