Default adrenaline moments

How good are they?
I'm not going to get the game intil I get a playstation 3 (I'm getting one soon hopefully) but i was wondering if the slow -down moments were a good idea and fun to play and better than the action-button sequences in Legend and Anniversary

Well the adrenaline moments are now only the head-shots Lara makes when her adrenaline meter is full ... As for the others in the game, that replaced the button sequences, dunno ... Good idea, but can be improved IMO .. And there's one particular that is very hard to get it from the first time So I don't know ... You'll decide for yourself ... I personally think that they are one good new idea for the game

Thanks. Would you (or anyone who has played the game) say that underworld is better than legend or anniversary

I wish i could help you but i love them all. played a few levels of underworld and so far i love it also. Right now i'm playing it on my PC with graphics to the max and let me tell you, it looks FANTASTIC. Still waiting for the PS3 version to arrive in the mail. (amazon so slow).
I will tell you when you play to shut off the hints makes it more fun.
Enjoy and take care.

I think the new slo-mo action sequences are a terrific improvement over the quicktime sequences from Legend and Anniversary. Those had the feel of too much hand holding where you just followed the step-by-step directives given to you.

Now, the action slows down giving you the chance to execute Lara's acrobatic maneuvers from the built in control scheme. In other words, you're just doing what you already do during normal game play, so you feel like you're still in control and in the moment. The slow down just helps you time the sequence yourself rather than following queue cards. This also gives the slo-mo a more cinematic feel when there are no big icons popping up, pulling you out of the experience.

THIS is how special action sequences should be done!!!

The adrenaline moments shouldn't even be associated with the word adrenaline. They're a disgrace compared to Adrenaline Dodge. The headshot thing is clunky to use and pointless, esp in the small space you have with the tigers. The slow mo get your tail moving they replaced the arrow puzzle with is not too good either. The game feels cobbled together and shallow in gameplay, nothing near as good as Anniversary.
