However I dont hate Eidos and Crystal for doing it. Im angry at them, but dont hate them. (:

. He was one of my favorites. I'll miss him. however i don't hate Crystal D and Eidos. annoyed with them, yes, but i don't hate them.

me too. Sorry guys but I'm old school tomb raider. Lara didn't need someone in her home doing all the research for her and interrupting the game play with their pointless chatter and jokes. I can't tell you how frustrating it is when I'm about to make Lara jump and Alister pipes in about "Oh no! that looks dangerious, you should turn back!"

I wish he got shot in the head. His death was not pointless. He was a weakling. Zip being in a little better shape only survived not being killed but still got shot in the leg.

The silence while exploring is a big plus for me.

I agree: with all this tension being build up in Legend with Avalon being so legendary and so hard to reach I would expect a supernatural world: a sort of heaven, something utterly magnificent. It was a bit of a anticlimax that it turned out to be just another cave underground: and so was Xibalba and Hellheim and whatnot. It still was awesome, but for different reasons than I would prefer...

me tooo. i dont hate crystal but i cant beleive it wen i found out about alister but not with kurtis coz i nmever played the classics, i think alister was cute, but nxt it'll be zip.i dont have the game yet but i will at christmas.

I liked him too, and his death served really no purpose at all, which makes it even more absurd... Still, in my view everything could work out if next time Lara finds any way to meet his and her parents spirits. Say, a level that takes place in a mental realm, in which her spirit travels to heaven for a short time so she can have a little chat with Alister and her parents and then her mother can tell her that she looks down from heaven upon her and has always been proud, you know... That would bring some happy-endingness to this horrible tragedy...

While i think thats highly unlikely to happen, I do agree SOMETHING good needs to happen to Lara.
This last game left her with absolutely nothing. ):

I will also miss Alister, he had the ocasional fits but he was part of the team.
I dont hate them for doing that, I'm just angry with them cos its just not going to be the same without him there.

I hate them for more than killing Alister. They can not wrap up a story to save their lives. That was such a terrible story I dont think there is a word strong enough.

It was a huge waste of time, and money. But I have forgiven CD, because they were rushed by Eidos.

I don't HATE Eidos, but I think laying off Eric and the other 29 people who worked their butts off to make TRU is more of a reason to dislike them than to kill off a character that not too many people really liked all that much.

@Redfos: What do you mean they can't wrap up the story? After Underworld, they said that would be the end of the whole long lost mother/Avalon search.
