You can be an archaeologist, if that's what you're after. Tomb raiding is considered illegal activity, because I believe you need permission to go into ancient tombs which these days are all national heritage (let alone touch their walls and inner ornaments) and you certainly can't go shooting your way in.

Cool dog gone it ...

errrmmmm .... life expectancy for professional tomb raiders isn't all that great (ref. Pierre). maybe you could get a start by sneaking into pet cemeteries ...

...or storming your local Russian Naval base

Seriously LaraCroft32, you want to see an archaeologist in action? Watch Time Team. And be prepared for disappointment.

Well, exploring the world sounds a lovely idea. If you have the funds. Well some people go off backpacking around the world and working to fund the trips, so I guess if you research, you can do it.

But tomb raiding as Lara does it? No, no can do I'm afraid. First, reaiding tombs is illegal isn't it? As is shooting at and killing people and animal to get the prize. but I guess you know that already. Do tombs like the ones Lara gets to see actually exist? Certainly not the ones with all the traps.

You could train to be an archaeologist or an historian. Then you may find yourself in exotic countries looking at tombs. But most likely you'll be in the hot sun or rain digging away for hours and hours without a trace or maybe being lucky and finding an ancient coin or some pottery. Exhibitions may evn take months or years.

But if finding out about ancient civilizations does interest you, it wouldn't be boring and when you are lucky enough to be the first to find some big find, then all the hard work will be worth it. You may even go down in history for your discovery.

But Tomb Raider it aint! Sadly. Yeah, maybe write about it - but starring yourself instead of Lara is your best bet for those types of adventures!

You could do what Lara, Amanda, Kent and the others were doing. Get into archeology and you may be asked to excavate deep into a site.

All you have to do is hope you run across some Unknown Entity .

Do you realise just how hard it is to read your posts? Orange on a white background with a tiny-sized font isn't a god mix
I know the forum tells you it's dark orange, but it isn't.

Theyre not as hard as you think. People always psych themselves out until they try it and go "wow why didnt I do this before?"
