New Here - Comments About Legend & TR Controls

Hello TR gamers, I've just registered

I have most of the TR games, including the hard-to-come-by The Lost Artefact but of all the games made, I am yet to complete both Legend and AOD.

The problem is I play on the PC with keyboard and mouse - something which led me to difficulties when playing Legend. I bought a gamepad for the PC but before installing it I had a bash on a friend's Playstation to familiarise myself with the controls and made very little progress after a few hours in total (on different visits!). It was manouevering the camera that seemed awkward and yet seasoned Playstation gamers would likely argue that they struggle with the keyboard.

Nevertheless, Legend was fairly easy going until I met up with Takimoto. I was all over the place trying to move the mouse and get some serious firepower going. Thankfully I found and executed a bug (I submitted it along with shots to Stella and she has creditted me on her site). But then, after progressing a little further I got to the part where I am shut in a room and have to shoot out four jewels or something whilst some maniac keeps flooring me

I tell you, I gave up in the end for it's a hopeless task unless you happen to be an octopus. The minute I have gotten to my feet and lined up a shot, I'm horizontal again and I only have one med pack to my inventory!!

For this reason I can't get excited about Anniversary and it's such a shame because I do enjoy all the games up until they changed the format and controls. I'm just too set in my ways I guess and would have to retrain myself with the gamepad by playing some of the older TR games before I ever became remotely adept enough to tackle the newer games.

Well how did you use the controls before?
Because I seem to not have much trouble with it. I use the arrow keys.
But you know on the PC you can change which keys are what. Try changing them and I hope it makes everything better.
