Problems connecting to server

Hey,
I must be the only one having problems because I haven't seen a thread about people getting "timed out" when they try and create their online profile or whe they try and connect to the game servers. I get messages that tell me the servers are busy or down for routine maintenance. There can't be that many new people trying to play multiplayer, right? The game is connecting to something because I get that DNAS screen and where I accept the rules. It downloaded a patch too.
If Anyone has any suggestions, let me know. Thanks!

What system are you playing on? How do you connect to the internet? DSL, Cable, Internet, Dial-up? Do you have a router or firewall?
