vampire book help?

hey
can some one help me coz ive started somting ive been meaning to do for a while now...write a story & im writng it about vampires & i need to know of vampire's strength & weaknesses also i need to no of some not very comon or original names like mephisto (diablo 2), illidan (warcraft 3) or baal (diablo 2 & stargate sg-1) coz im no good at thinking of names

Hey Weapon. I was gonna give you the site I use a lot for names, but I lost it. Doh.

Vampires in different books/movies/games systems/etc have often slightly different strengths and weaknesses, taken from a broad range of folk beliefs about the creatures. It's up to you to a fairly large degree.

Nosgoth Vampires, however, have very specific weaknesses: immersion in water is deadly, sunlight is fatal to fledgelings, but not older vampires, they can't get up as long as they're impaled and they burn rather well. They are also incapacitated by a specific magic item: Moebius' staff.

Nosgothic Vampire strenghts: Natural claws, natural fangs (that don't seem to be 'retractable' as those of some vampires), wounds heal almost instantly (as long as they're not too hungry) and they're really strong. Individual vampires have other gifts, such as telepathy (the whisper), posession of humans or at least mental dominance, telekinesis, telekinetic blasts, ultra speed or jumping abilities, (mostly in BO2) spells and or the ability to turn into a wolf (BO1 only, but displayed by both Kain and Vorador) the mistform/phase through portals thing (Melchiah and Kain) turn into flock of bats-thing (Kain only, so far as we know) and lord knows what else, really.

So, that's for if you're setting it in Nosgoth, but I don't know if you are. In any case, good luck with your story, I hope it turns out well, if you do set it in Nosgoth sign up to fanfic.org so we can read it, ok?

Just thought I should add that Vorador can turn into crows the same way Kain turns into bats.

as i recall the vampire legend gained more attention when people were constantly buried prematurely during the black plague. maybe showing the rebirth of a vampire in this way would be cool...making the transition from human to vampire an individual effort rather than a curse to pass on could be cool.

hey Weapon X im currently writing a book with vampires. I just followed the way some people have been making vampires. as for the names i just made up their names off the top of my head. good luck on your book

you both could go the mythological route like lok...that usually gives the reader a sense of what your going for.
