Exclamation Adventure in the woods (pictures)

Hey, well I know nothing at all about photography, but I kinda like how these all turned out. Yea, just thought I'd share some pictures I took yesterday while on a walk in the temperate rain forests of beautiful British Columbia.

I know the subject isn't supposed to be centered, but I think this one worked out well:

That's not unlike the woods we have in the UK Raven, very nice photos. It's nice to see others photos in the forum. I specially liked the 4th pic; very dramatic. Thanks for sharing.

Cool

Sensational. I have long had a love for evocative monochrome pictures, so no prizes for guessing my favourite.

Very nice pics!!
I wish we had such forests in the Netherlands. I live in the biggest bulb area of the world (my god, what am I proud on it... lol) and it's all flat and open here. I can look as far as my eyes can reach, really boring. Do you have some room for me?

Gorgeous pictures! What a beautiful wood! The meadow in the 3rd picture looks like it was made for a nice picnic in the sun!

Very nice!.
I'd either be worried about dinos or trying to spot an elf on those woods.
Not sure which!

Oh, how I miss those trees whispering to me, telling secrets I have to listen longer to understand......

BC, there is no place more beautiful on Earth than my old home. I miss nature. I miss wilderness. I never thought I'd ever leave. Nothing could tear me away from that. .....But love called and I answered. Funny old world.

.

What I don't understand is that everyone loves the forests, but the felling continues....I am sure Europe once had real forests and lakes and rivers.....You know some of the trees in BC have lived more than 2000 years? I bet they have stories....if only we would hear them.

Raven, you have made some beautiful pictures. The land loves it's portrait taken, because just pointing and shooting will make pure art, however a shadow of the real thing, eh?

Too right Catsuit, I work in an office, and you can imagine how much spam fax's we get and that used to go straight into the bin, but i've recently put into action a new policy of re-using the other side of the paper for usual offfice copys. I love trees, and without them we'd perish, so all paper should be recycled.

There's this one lake here with a trail surrounding it. Some of the marsh-like areas in there with the ferns, other large leafed plants, and all the trees that are just dripping with moss, you actually do expect to see a couple raptors or a t-rex cross your path!

Dhama, the effort you're putting into recycling paper is terrific, if only more people would do the same.

Catsuit, I'm going to miss BC's nature too when I leave for school in the US next year. It's true that these pictures don't do justice at all for the real beauty of BC's forests.

lovely pictures, my favorites are the first [2], the second one I can "see" monkeys swinging through the trees.

Hahahaha... So that's what was rustling in the bushes. I thought I had heard something. Thanks for the heads up, I think I'll have to be a little more careful next time.

Thank you, AmO. I wish we had monkeys here.
