Question What was your first video game?

This is inspired by the Console Of Choice thread. It started me wondering what, everyones first video game was.
I originally had one of those fixed tennis games, but when I got my first home computer (An Atari 400) I got Star Raider with it.
I still play this game and it still draws me into the game as if I was actually there in a space fighter battling with aliens. It's hard to believe that this absorbing game is stored on a 4K ROM cartridge.
I stll think its the best game ever.

So, what was your first?

Star Raider is one of the best games I've ever played in my life. I had it for the Atari 5200. As that was my first gaming system (console or computer), I'd have to say Whatever Game Came With That (probably Breakout or Centipede). But since I got Star Raider soon after getting the console, I could also list that, since I spent the vast majority of my time playing that. Ahh... memories.

Lost Eden. It was a RPG where you would be a human trying to help Dinosaurs. I still have it too.

Sonic 2 for the Sega Genisis. I think I still have both up in my closet now. I actually played that so long once I got a headache and couldn't play it for a week without getting a flaring of pain. Out of the two to three years I played it I only beat it once to.

My first video game was that old ping pong game - you know the one with a vertical line at each side of the screen and a very bouncy ball being hit from side to side!!! Can't remember what we played it on either - but it was aaaaaaaaggggggges ago!!!!

The first game I owned was the Sonic the Hedgehog that I got when I bought my Genesis.

I don't remember the first game I played(Moonmist, Hollywood Hijinx, Myst or maybe it was Arkanoid? Wait I remember, it was Pitfall an Atari console), but Alternate Reality: The Dungeon is the best game ever(Atari 800XL computer, go Atari).

My first few games were for the "family" NES console. Despite the crappiness...I still love that console and wish that mine didn't break!

The games that I really played were...Super Mario Bros( all of them but especially number 3), Tetris, Paperboy, Kurby, I could go on and on! Oh, such great memories!

In England, it was called ping pong. Here, pong is a bad smell

First video game would be a pong rip-off which turned out to be better than the original becouse the *blip* sound was an octave lower.

First Spectrum game - Manic Miner
First Commodore 64 game - Attack of the Mutant Camels
First Genesis game - Altered Beast *shiver*
First Amiga game - Shadow of the Beast
First Playstation game - Ridge Racer
First PC game - Unreal

My first was a Mario that came with the old Nintendo console. Then it was the love of my life, the old original Zelda...still have the console and the game. Of course, Final Fantasy I was there about the same time, too.

The first for Supernintendo was Shadow Run, still around on emulator.

Then, dracoraptor, there was my first PC game: Right! The Lost Eden, and that opening sentence still gives me goosebumps..."My name is Eloi...."

Chuffy, where did you get the dragon pic on your sig/banner? Very classy! I collect dragon pics and even helped create a small dragon inspired maze game...

*thinks back* hmmm...

*thinks back further* arg...

*thinks back to when Poison was hot* ok, getting warmer...

*thinks back to when Helen Reddy was a hit* No wait, I wasn't even a zygote then...

*thinks forward a little* Ah! 1986! I was 4 years old. Very first memory of playing a video game was one of those space-shooter games (can't quite remember which) at the arcade in the big mall which I seriously thought was a city at the time. Anyways, the only reason I was able to play it was because it was like in a glasstop table format instead of a regular arcade tower. The first arcade tower art I remember very clearly was Ms. Pacman, but I couldn't play the towers because I was too little to reach the controls or see the screen, reason why I was playing with the little table-type thingy.

Crash Bandicoot for ps1. I was 7 then (I think). That's not an easy game, despite what anyone may say.
I have a question. Why do people say that Pong is easy? It isn't.
