Default Which Biomod do you Prefer for the Skeletal Slot

Which Biomod do you prefer for the Skeletal Slot, and why?

I can't seem to decide which biomod to take for this slot, so I'd like to hear what others have chosen and if you're happy with it.
What I have so far is:
Enhanced Vision
Neural Interface
Strength Enhancement
Health Leech Drone

I like ESD for me, but since you have Neural Interface, it may not be as useful for you, since you can turn off most cameras and turrets by hacking into computers. Personally I always use ESD though, as with it you can shut down cameras and turrets sans hacking, can turn off any lasers in the game, and can disable bots if you an sneak up on them, which isn't very difficult.

What character are you playing as?

Thermal Masking is good if you're relying on stealth. It and Cloak make you completely invisible.

Aggressive Defense Drone is great if you're a soldier-type. Very useful against the bigger enemies in the late game.

Electrostatic Discharge is obviously best for melee-types, since it can let you disable cameras and scramble bots to your side.

What does Electrostatic Discharge do anyway? I didn't have any idea but just kind of assumed it was like an EMP blast so I went with Thermal Masking.

ESD causes all of your melee attacks to have EMP damage as well. Even at level 1 it rocks cause it lets you disable lasers by hitting them, but at level 3, you can even take down mil bots in 5 hits or so (and they're slow enough to circle strafe around so it's very easy to do so).

That all depends. It seems that if you have the strength mod as well, then certain melee weapons will become too powerful for this purpose. Whenever I try to disable turrets with the energy sword with strength mod level 3, they low up in my face. If, however, I use the baton, they don't. So the answer is no, disabling them with ESD doesn't cause them to blow up, but if you use a weapon that's too powerful, you may destroy them before ESD can disable them.

The best way to take out millitary bots is with thermal masking + bot domination. It is virtualy risk free, and you can use the military bot after that to take out any other guards in the area.

I went for the electrostatic discharge. Acts like a multitool. It's really cool at level 3 because it acts as a scrambler grenade. Saved my butt once or twice. It's also good for taking out those spiderbots in the vents.

Man, I love ESD. I used thermal masking my first play-through, but ESD serves more or less the same purpose. Instead of hiding from turrets and bots, now I just whack them once with the baton, and boom, I'm safe. I find it especially useful when you're fighting the Templars in Germany. The mil bot in the yard, the turrets in the towers, and the aero bots are all a piece of cake now. Especially with the speed mod, because you can close distance and circle strafe a bot/turret/camera in zero time.

All you realy need is a magrail. It is safer and more efficient then ESD.

I agree with K^2... magrail allows you to stand off and do any emp damage you need to... plus you get a weapon that will kill with 1-2 shots to chest everytime built in....ammo is plentiful enough.
I will give eidos credit as I think they where very clever when designing the bio mod section of this game you can make converse arguments for every combination...nueral interface I think is the weak link though..I never really used it much....you can use a multiool, esd or find another way around anything requiring hacking...so I will use that slot for something other than neural next time around..although hacking atns is till useful..but if you are carfeful...you know where to get the credits to buy those "must" haves from the Omars when necesarry...

Hacking ATMs is worthless. Wow, more credits that you'll never spend. On my current game, I haven't hacked even one ATM, on account of not having Neural Interface, and I've been doing expensive stuff such as hiring Sid instead of Ava, etc., and I still have a huge surplus of credits.

Oh Yeah, there's tons of money. I currently have over 6000 credits and I've bought just about everything you can. I feel like Donald Trump.

Electrostatic Discharge. I took thermal masking my first time through the game, and I think I only found two places where I actually used it. Electrostatic was far more useful, primarily for shutting down the security beams you run across in various places. I prefer the baton for taking out bots, since it does no physical damage to them, and they won't blow up. Plus, ESD3 scrambles the bots. When going back through with it, in a couple spots I ran up to the milbot, hit it once, then hid while it killed all the other enemies around.

Bot Domination works just as well. True, you have to give up the Strenght upgrade, but if you go for stealth, you don't realy need it. Generaly if you attack an unsuspecting guard with a sword, you get a kill before he can retaliate even without it. So the only benefit is the 2 extra slots which are only usefull if you want to carry a bunch of 'nades. The Bot Domination, however, gives you the advantage of using the enemy bots and turrets most effectivly. If a scrambled millitary bot will only destroy enemys within site, you can use the dominated bot to make a lot of noise to get the guards from other areas to come out, which takes care not only of the are guarded by the millitary bot, but usualy of the most hostile NPCs on the level.

Electrostatic discharge helps in malee attacks against bots *AND* it doesn't cost anything in energy.

The energy cells are pretty efficient but I'd just as soon not have to charge up a lot early in the game.

I used ESD too, but it really screws up game balance. The game simply becomes too easy with it! After getting ESD3 I never ever used a multitool again. I just slashed everything, from bots to cameras to laser beams, with my sword. After that you can just stroll through the game.

Level 3 ESD and a baton! Disables any and all laser trip wires, and once you hit a bot you can sit there and smack it on the chin untill it goes down, and it'll just stare at you. No bioenergy or ammo required! I consider it a stealthy weapon in a way, since you can take down bots, cameras, turrets, and traps all without hacking or explosives. And renegade Milbots are just plain fun.
