Smile Countdown to the Cruise...

An interesting link for all of you classic car enthusiasts.

This will be my fourth time going on Saturday. I will be sure to get plenty of pictures for you. Lots of cars, and lots of people. It's great.

No towel, sorry. There are 35,000 classic cruisers expected from all across the nation (and Canada too I believe). Woodward literally becomes a parking lot.

It's definately a good time.

We used to have a vintage Duster. (Offhand I can't remember the year). My grandfather, father and uncles came to a mutual agreement to sell it. They sold it to a felon, who crashed it into the Rouge River after a police chase. I haven't let the living members of my family live it down since.

We have a 1917 Model T that we're restoring, and I have my sights set on a vintage charger to take cruising sometime.

Here's another Dream Cruise link compliments of a local TV station.

You may want to keep tabs on the Channel 7 website, they have done broadcasts of the event via the web in the past.

Talking Awesome cars!

... yeah, I noticed she's a mod, now, too...

Congrats. How does it feel to have so much power at your disposal, with just a click of a button?

(Sorry, I'm power-hungry. I envy you in a good way)

Congrats Umah!

When and where?

Ooo, I heard Woodrow Ave. was at a deadlock last night from all the classics pouring onto the streets.

DEEK ~ I will put them on the list. Although it's supposed to be 90 degrees on Saturday, so I may have to add an additional dozen onto the first dozen.

LM ~ You caught me. This was a little dark gift from the vampiric deities. Thanks for the support!

Roxy ~ I plea the fifth on grounds it may incriminate me.

So far so good. No complaints here.

It's a great opportunity to help Chris out (this forum was an extra bonus).

Aquarius ~ Yesterday on Mars. I dunno. **shrugs** What was the question?

Woodward is always at a stand still this time of the year. I swear that a ride that normally takes 15 minutes from my dad's girlfriend's house to where we go and check the cars out (roughly four miles up the road) takes at least an hour and a half because there are so many cars/people.

You know it's not nice putting vampires on the spot. It's bad for their complexion.

I haven't been to the zoo in ages. I don't think it will be too bad then, most people have to go back to work on Monday. Sunday could still be a little hectic though.

Have fun at the zoo!

Thanks Umah.

We're going to go see the Polar Bear and Tiger that we adopted last fall.

Which reminds me that I need to get more phone calls out either today or tomorrow to everyone else in the group. Being President has its pros and cons.

Well the 2003 Woodward Dream Cruise is a memory now. Despite the blackout, it still went on, only with nowhere near as many people and cars as normal. Instead of cramming the entire 17 mile or so avenue, they were mostly congregated around a four mile stretch in the middle.

It was still fun as always. I was able to take some pictures, although they are not the greatest. (Mostly because of people getting in front of me, and walking behind me, limiting how often I could stop and shoot). **sigh**

Should have them developed sometime this week to post.

We have a towel shortage here in MI, DEEK. However, you may be interested in the hour and a half long telecast of the Cruise, located on the second link I provided.
