xbox controller deadzone lower left

Hi,

I got this game to try to play some coop with my friends. I'm using a xbox controller, but whenever the right or left analog stick moves to the lower left position, there's no response from the game. I've tried using an xbox emulator (x360ce from tocaedit), but i'm a bit confused as to what those deadzone sliders do, and support was minimal on their website. I've tried playing around with it but havent had any success. I'd really love to play the game and to be able to shoot and walk in the bottom left direction.

The controller works fine in the other games i've tried. (Bastion, Super Meat Boy, Limbo)

Please help. I will post any successful results onto this thread. I've saw other posts of the same problem in this and other forums but no answers yet.
