Default Can't get pass the launcher..shippingpc-bmgame.exe

Hey,

I brought the game on Steam and was able to play before but I recently reinstalled the game and now I can't get past the launcher. I get a message box saying assertion failed and something regarding shippingpc-bmgame.exe (see image).

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Game for Windows Live and the game itself. Also, check the integrity of file. I have e-mailed Securom to see if the problem was on their end but it isn't. I also know that Batman: Arkham City work fine.

Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

It's safe to assume that the problem probably stems from Games for Windows Live...I am gonna e-mail them too.

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM!

First go to where game is installed:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common

Since mines is a Steam game, it was found here. If you installed from a disc, it should be under C:\Program Files (x86)\Square Enix

Then right click Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY folder, go to properties, uncheck the read-only box under attributes and apply to all files and subfolders.

Then start game the via launcher or bmstartapp.exe.

Hope this helps anyone.

I also tried uninstall gfwlive and windows live I-D sign in assistant. Then, tried restall both of them again. Next, did (mute the sound on taskbar) After that, entered game OK but no sound. Finally, exited game , check out no mute sound , entered game again and it's perfect.
