help!!!! glitch bug maybe

I have killed the boss on the picus level and have met the chopper. I engage in the conversation with Malik and tell her it is time to go. Then... nothing. I get my round completion praxis points... so the game acknowledges the end of the mission but still no take off.

I am playing PC version from steam. I verified the local cache and no errors.

I tried approaching the chopper from different positions around the chopper... no luck.

Any suggestions?
