I downloaded the demo of Batman back around the time it was released. However it failed to start due to .NET framework error 'Value was either too large or too small for an Int32'.
I didn't think much of it, until this week when the sale started. As many will know, Batman has, specially for a game based of a film received a pretty good meta score, 91 / 100 therefore I was pretty keen on trying it. However, I downloaded the GOTY edition demo from Fileplanet and unfortunately I had the same issue as before. I ensured .NET framework was up to date. Along with Gfx drivers and Windows to no avail. But I did, eventually manage to get it working and for those that suffered similarly, here is how: So as normal start with ensuring you have the most up to date versions of:
Then, and here comes the "hacky" part.
That's pretty much all I had to do. Pretty simple really, would have been easier if the 1.1 patch was able to patch the demo, or that the demo was updated somehow to include it. The demo is pretty short, but it was just good enough to convince me to buy the game - maybe since I spent so long trying to get it to work, but oh well. Good luck. |
