Apparently there was going to be a cartoon featuring Bruce Wayne in High School with his rogues gallery as classmates.
The art is great but I think this would have sucked.. Clicky click.

Normally I would roll my eyes at this sort of thing. But after looking at the art I find myself strangely intrigued. Could have been a fun spin/spoof on the mythos.

I would be a liar if I said that this did not look VERY interesting.

This looks really cool. They could've gone really far with this. Besides, animation would make a much better vehicle for this than TV.

I could picture joker laughing while his teacher sits on an explosive whoopie cushion.

I'm glad this never happened
whilst I can appreciate the art, the idea is entirely unoriginal and basically sticks the middle finger up to the whole of Batman mythology ... especially it's history |

Initially, the idea is bad to me... But I hate to say that my curiosity doth protest too much. It would have been really interesting to see.

I think this could have had a surprise hit, of course it depends how they would have handled this, but i'm thinking Spider-Man meets X-Men meets Batman.

That sounds about accurate, at least according to my estimations. I have a feeling it would've turned out like the Brave And The Bold animated series or Frank Miller's All-Star Batman & Robin; loved in some corners, hated in others.

Where on earth is Brave and Bold animated series hated? I know people had low expetations during the 2008 year due to everyone and their mother's having Nolan's Batman in their mind, but the well written episodes, excelently voiced characters and high performance on all standards has made this a very loved show that has influenced the current Batman books even.

Honestly, would've loved this because I really liked X-Men Evolution. Comments like Z's is why we only seem to get origin stories in features. Who cares if tosses the mythos on its head. That's the point. Hollywood is so afraid of upsetting the masses that they churn out the same old crap every time because they worry that core fans won't accept it and that casual fans won't get it unless they tell it from the beginning. I'm tired of hearing how Bruce became Batman, Clark became Superman, Peter became Spiderman, or how the X-men formed. I've heard it a thousand times. But we can't tell new stories, because no one will care about characters they don't know. How can they grow to care for these "new" (often times old) characters if they're never introduced properly because we're telling the same old stories again...

Brave and the Bold is only hated by people who haven't seen it.
Anyway, they tried this before. They told Bruce Timm and co to make Batman in high school and we got Batman Beyond. Isn't that enough?

My point is its a stupid idea and the best way to approach it was with Batman Beyond.

The way I see it, this supposed cartoon was really just gonna be a spoof of Batman, not at all taken seriously.

I would've watched this but I'm glad they didn't make it.. It would have just ruined Batman.

And that's the point, it would have been a silly show, not taken very siriously, prolly alot of fun.

You know, in my humble opinion, this will work better as a fan-work. An officially liscensed series would require constant waves of episodes, inevitably throwing up some crap episodes where as a fan would want to actually do each episode. Oh and thanks to the absurd waves of influence a fandom can generate, like causing people to feel sorry for freddy kruger, this will inevitably be made as a fan work...the cosplays have already started infact.

Lol only as a comedy. I would like it better if they made a animated show/movie about Bruce's teenage life.

I thought this looked hilarious. It seemed to me something similar to Clone High which was one of my favorite shows.
