Unhappy My experience with Just Cause 2 so far...

Ok, well, I just bought Just cause 2 on Steam, and, so far, my experience has not been good. The first problem I had was that I was getting VERY low FPS and the game was SO laggy. I tried for 2 hours to find out the best way to fix this and I finally had to set the game on the absolute LOWEST settings possible, and its still quite laggy. (and, I did check the system requirements, and I should be able to run it...) So, I settled for that and started trying to play. I got to the part in the first mission where you parachute onto the base. (the VERY beginning) and it seems to be impossible to hit it. I just get about halfway there and hit the ground, get the 10 second warning, and die. I have tried this over and over again and I always get the same result! So, I spent another hour searching for a fix to this, and found out this problem is very common, but I wasnt able to find any fixes for it. So, any help with this problem will be VERY much appreciated.

Can you deploy the parachute at all? If you can, deploy the chute straight away and everynow and again drop the parachute and free fall a little further and then deploy the parachute again, you should be able to easily reach the location. (you only need to get within 50meters)

By the way what are you system specs?

at least the game will actually install for you...I've tried with as much as 6GB of ram in my system, and it still refuses to install, quoting the *completely wrongly worded* not enough storage space available error
