For those of us who are Fallout 3 fans.
How many think it would be a neat idea if the game creators got together and made a game based off of Fallout but in Gotham City wasteland? I think it would be awesome if a Vault protagonist emerged and some how either early in the game or 1/4 into the game locates the Batcave and utilizes some of Batman's equipment. If the suit was undamaged then I think the player would learn to utilize the glide capability. And I know that the Batcave can help the protagonist learn new melee skills and get plenty of training before trying to man handle raiders and super mutants and feral ghouls. Heck, one nice perk would be if the Mysterious Stranger was a "Dark Knight" that would swoop in at random times. Its just nice food for thought and discussion for a game that may never happen. What other advantages could a Batsuit help in the Wasteland? Any other Fallout fans here agrees it would make a nice game? |

Hmm...I admire your creative juices, however I think we should just be looking forward to New Vegas.
Look, I love the Fallout series and can't wait for New Vegas, but I'm not sure I want a completely open world Batman game. I kinda got tired of that for super hero games after Spider-Man 2...

Not to mention Fallout's classic gameplay is to brutally kill anything shooting at you in overtly gruesome ways. That goes against the entire Batman credo.
I did love Fallout 3 and I am sure New Vegas will be just as great, if not better, so I agree: let's just leave it at that. Warner Bros./DC isn't licensing their PG 13 Batman over to the Fallout creators anytime soon. Now, something that would be pretty interesting is, say, a game based on The Dark Knight Returns, which then continues past the end of TDKR Would it ever happen? I'm thinking probably not, lol It's nice to dream, though

Well,
In this game you can be a "lethal" or "non-lethal" protagonist player. And the protagonist would not really use the whole Batsuit because there can only be 1 Batman (Unless Batman Beyond still counts) unless the whole suit would make it cool but I know that the wasteland has too much bad things that would destroy Batman's suit. Maybe the player could integrate into a visor of what Batman used with his Batmask. One other thing, what if the protagonist actually came across a 200 year old Riddler quest that actually helped him? And one thing that would be neat if the Joker did make an appearance would be that he would be a non-decomposing Ghoul since radiation heals them so maybe Joker might pop up. Also, Batman's inability to kill should not be a reason to blow off the good thoughts of this idea. I know Batman is non-lethal but still his things could help out in a Fallout world. But there is no harm in thinking that there is no reason not to kill in Fallout, I so wanted not to kill all the Gary clones because they was funny but imagine a Fallout story line where a villain put a "life alert" thing in certain other bad guys (bosses or normal annoying people) and if one got killed it would spell doom for that waste land by releasing radiated Joker's gas combined with Scarecrow's radiated drugs and the only way not to trigger is to not to kill certain people. Like in Fallout 3, I screwed up and got everyone in Ten Penny killed when I just wanted all to live in peace. Oh well, Like we all agree on, it is a nice idea that may never happen anytime soon, Many game cross overs happened, (Tekken vs Capcom, Gundam Dragon Warrior and Kingdom Hearts) so something like this is not such a bad idea. |
