Default Just cause 2 Freezes! important

I just got the game today. i installed it whit no problems. but when i press new game in the menu it stays on loading for ever. + the lodaing thing in the right corner freezes. please help i realy whant to play this game!!!
My graphic card is: INVIDIA GForce GTS 250.

What are your other system specs? RAM? CPU?

Try running this diagnostic tool that was posted by chickenchief in another thread:

Post your results here and see if anyone has any input.

I have the same graphics card. Glad to be able to help you.

I have all settings the lowest possibility (the game looks fine, still) and I barely get freezes.
Also, make sure that steam with steam the sounds and message pop-ups are off, because that also causes freezes.

At last, wait for this steam connection online (or something like that) in the corner of your screen disappears. If you click anything with this icon up it will freeze.
