Default Theme for Just Cause 3?

I know it is a long way off but what would you like to see as a theme for Just Cause 3?

A continuation of a group of islands?
Farther inland for a larger landmass like the Midwestern US, Central Europe or Asia?
A prequel WWII theme with different characters?
A future "other world space" theme?

I'd like to see it set in the mainland USA, somewhere like Washington D.C. Make the game a similar style and storyline to the movie xXx2: The Next Level, or something like that.

well it's not exactly what you describe, but you might enjoy inFamous (PS3). I love that game, and you have cool Sith like lightning powers. It's open world. You battle both normal and supernatural weapons/enemies.

Also, Red Faction: Guerrilla, doesn't have laser swords but it's still pretty freakin' awesome!

played both, love both, but have only aquired RF:G preowned. havent gotten infamous again

and as a side note RF:G and Parasite Eve 2 are the only games i've ever played that had a railgun (but the railguns in both lacked the effects of the railguns in Eraser. and i'm talking about the ability to send target flying.......but i havent fired up RF:G in a bit so maybe the railgun in that does)

I still like islands , maybe incorporate more water elements this time , better waves and coastal areas

lots of tree houses and a better ocean system big waves, crashing on the shoreline , sharp jagged cliffs, maybe a active volcano like the one in Hawaii which looks AWESOME at night

imagine parachuting at night over that

Hi, Saboteur.

Anyways, I would really like a continuation of the island thing, especially if there was more focus on the water/underwater areas.

BTW, does this mean there will be a JC3?

I think the active volcano would probably be very difficult to program, especially if it erupts. Although it would be fun to try and drive through lava before Rico turns into Guy Fawkes Jr, car included.

yeah true but the ones in hawaii don't EXPLODE like you think of normal volcanos, they sort of OOZE out for the most part

I went and explored while I lived in Hawaii you could walk very close to the area , because at this point the lava was just oozing out

the volcanos there aren't as explosive as a Mount St. Helens type eruption

since the one on the Big Island constantly oozes lava there is no chance of getting a blockage, other volcanos don;t erupt often and have a large mass of rock blocking the escape point for lava so the pressure builds up

Hawaii volcano is uncapped so to speak

I started to write this out, and it got too wordy. (I love coming up with ideas) So I'll just knock it down. Just Cause 2 come's really close to what I always wanted to see in an open world game, so I would simply like to see it expanded on.

- Like AssassinAgent47, definitely a Volcano (erupting or oozing)
- More to explore underwater, including sea life and sea caves.
- More to explore in general. Enhance on the ruins, wrecks, and other cool things you find.
- Tankers, battleships and subs. Plant charges on them, attack by air, fight ship to ship, board 'em, etc.
- A natural jungle area with friendly and deadly wildlife and tribes people. (think Amazon)
- A revolutionary warzone: always active with air raids, mortars, troop skirmishes, armored vehicles, etc. (help the revolutionaries or just go on a destruction spree)
- More interaction with the calmer side of the world. (some mini-games, simplistic side missions... no cell phone calls!!!)
- I like Rico's character, so just some minor customization options; military and spy gear, a civilian outfit and faction outfits.
- Stealth! Similar to Uncharted 2 or Metal Gear. Then every player has the option to play their own way.

Those are my main ideas. If I was just thinking out of the box though, I like your idea, Chip5541, about an open world World War II or even Vietnam style game. I also really want an open world space game like Dmndrgn559. I even attempted a mod for Fallout 3 to simulate that. I can just imagine free-roaming on another planet, or a space station where your car is now a spaceship, and your machinegun is now a laser rifle.

All the stuff Agent posted. Please.

Myself, I'd like to see it set on an island chain in Africa, tropical region, with similar biomes to Panau. Africa as a country is well known for its civil wars, just the sort of place the Agency would be interested in.
For features I would like a separate sandbox party-multiplayer, the Single player would be its own thing. Also for little things I'd like to be able to use the grapple while on a motorcycle or quad-bike.

Please?

air raids, finally a use for the flak cannons

Yeah, that's what I'd like too. Not only like in GTA, but for those who's played it, that's what I liked about Shenmue, or Bully too. It's just kind of fun to be able to grab something out of the drink machine or play a casino game, like you said. I know some players think things like that are silly, but those who don't like it can just as easily ignore it which is why sandbox games rule.

I can do without the dating.

That's what was so kool about San Andreas I remember just going to the Casino and gambling playing the various poker games, roulette , etc. You could spend hours in the casino just doing that./

Then walk down the road with a giant rubber ____ slapping people.

good times, bring the whole family

lol... I agree. I was only ticked when I found out I couldn't go into every casino, and speaking of SA and big rubber ______, may I emphasize once again that they really need to put spy gear in these games? My imagination only goes so far when I am pretending my black latex ____ suit is a spec-ops outfit.
