Default "Bouncing" while flying a chopper...

OK,

I just upgraded to a new GTX470 and went in and turned up some settings that I had turned down while running it on my previous GTX260.

My framerates are in the 50-60 range with everything maxed but now when in a helicopter after it "levels" out I get this annoying bouncing effect. It's the terrain that's going up, then down in this bouncing motion and I have to either throttle up or move the mouse around to make it stop. But then if I'm, say, just pressing W to go forward again after 5 or 10 seconds it starts doing it again. It acts like I'm pressing up then down, up then down. It gets annoying.

I can make it stop again by rotating my view or giving it more gas, but I want it to just stop. It wasn't doing this before the new GPU and I have reverted the settings to where they were before (I think I got them all...).

I was thinking it was one of the newer, now turned up filters causing this but it just won't stop.Anyone got a little help for me??? EVERYTHING else runs perfectly for me in the game...

That's a weird one mate. Sounds like a VSync issue rendering the horizon. Have you got VSync disabled on your new GPU?

It's not a Vsync thing, I've played with it on and off with the same results. It' s also rendering everything beautifully and my FPS are plenty, plenty high. It acts like you're pressing up and down, up and down, up and down.

Enzoforce are you also playing with a new GTX 400 series? What seems weird is that it didn't do this while running my GTX260. It's not a deal breaker for the game but it does get a little annoying.

Got a 9800+GTX.

It does annoy me pretty much, so I barely fly helicopters to get to the other side.

When you enable v-sync also enable triple buffering. Do this in the driver. It has helped me quite a bit.

I'm trying to understand the description bouncing up and down, is it very abrupt or more like air turbulance?, if the latter then that does happen in this game, an effect I do like, but it should not be happening constantly.

This is how the chopper fly when going full forward with only forward input. I've noticed it as well, not a problem with your system it's how the chopper works. Using a 360 controller might fix it, not sure.
