Hey guys. This is more of a discussion about the hardware requirements of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. Steam has them listed as:

OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
Processor: Intel 3.0 GHz or AMD 2.5 GHz or higher
Memory: 1 GB (XP), 2 GB (Vista)
Graphics: Nvidia 7800 / ATI X1800 or better (Shader Model 3.0, 512 MB Video Memory)
DirectX®: 9.0c
Sound: DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card
Controller Support: Xbox 360 Controller

My question then becomes this. I have been looking for a gaming netbook for a long time, something that can play all the new games and that won't break my budget. I've had a 17'' notebook before and it's too big and bulky for carrying around.

I basically work a lot and need something I can carry around... so needless to say I was a bit amazed when I saw Alienware's tiny M11x netbook showcased at the Dell booth at CES 2010... This netbook has an 11.1 inch screen and plays Modern Warfare 2 at 30 FPS.

I don't know anything about specs... but if this Alienware M11x can play Modern Warfare 2 decently, can it play a game like Kane & Lynch 2 decently? If so, I think I've found my next PC. This thing was also showcased playing Left 4 Dead 2 with all the settings/shadows on too. It looks freakin amazing if you ask me, and the price starts at under 1000.00

with Kane & Lynch 2 headed for Steam, I don't think the absence of a DVD-drive will be that big a deal. Lemme know what you think.

Personally I think Kane and Lynch 2 will work fine on it. We already know that IO had to release K&L1 earlier than they originally expected and I that is probably the reason for the bad pc port. So my guess is that K&L2 will actually work better on most pcs than K&L1.

A note here - the hardware requirements are NOT finalized yet. Those on Steam are temporary and should not be taken as the Bible truth, as it were. We're still working on the game, the devs are still optimizing the engine and filters, etc., so we haven't zoomed in on the specs just yet. I'll post them when they are final.

However, if your machine runs MW2 fine, it should run KL2 fine as well, I'd imagine.
