Batman 693 *Big Spoiler*

For those of you who have been waiting for E. Nygma to turn away from the sleuth game & return to being a nasty-minded villain we know as The Riddler - well it seems like we're all in luck. In Batman #693 there is a point where Helena (Huntress, w/o the costume) is tracking down someone suspicious. Riddler follows her because he is tracking the same person (as he was hired to do so by an unknown), only for the two of them to get hit by a small bomb. 10 minutes later Riddler gets up looking sinister & says "Twister of truths... Dastardly definer of definition... King of contradiction... Grandmaster of all Riddles... I'M BAAAAACK! heh heh".

It's about time! I did enjoy some of the reformed riddler stories, but I've been waiting for the real Riddler to return, & this issue certainly seems to indicate that the evil Riddler we adore has returned. The question now is... what will he do? & has the memory of Batman's identity returned to him?

I asked Tony Daniel about this. He said the Riddler is slowly turning to "evil" ways and you will see more of him in Gotham Sirens.

fun fact: the cluemaster design used in The Batman was the ORIGINAL design for their Riddler. >_<
Canon Cluemaster might be a lower tier villain, but the guy had his moments when Stephanie bited the dust.

Anyhow yeah Tony Daniel has his blog, he updates it fairly regularly with pencils, covers and sometime videos with him pencilling.

(The reason he looks bad in those pictures is because he saw 3 of his friends die, saved Major Disaster twice and got shot multiple times by terrorist on a Suicide Squad mission.)

I don't enjoy it whatsoever. It's Paul Dini writing the girls he wants with this artist showing their butts and tits in the most exposed ways ever along with alot of BDSM elements on it. Some like the story telling, but i just haven't enjoyed it whatsoever.

What has happened tho? Hush has appeared along with an old sidekick of Joker who wanted to kill Harley Quinn along with 1 issue of Riddler being a badass.

1 issue? Cluemaster had a Suicide Squad issue and a whole story arc of being BADASS.

just read "Arkham Reborn" 1 & 2 (of 3). pretty interesting mini so far. #2 was a laugh riot for me.

i agree Gotham City Sirens isn't very good other than the 1 issue where Riddler was a badass. i still don't get why catwoman would be hangin around poison ivy & harley.

i've been meaning to check out the Batman & Robin book since ive heard only good things. Damien Wayne is definitely an interesting character.

Batwoman comic was just confirmed which is FULL of win. Greg Rucka is an amazing male writer who writes great female characters withouth the need of sexifying them AT ALL. Dunno who will take over Detective Comics. I doubt Streets of Gotham is getting canceled since the sales are good and Paul Dini has such a fanbase he can hold a comic title all by himself easily, tho i do wish Gotham Sirens would sharpen up. :D

Really my top 3 picks would be:
1) Batman and Robin
2) Detective Comics
3) Streets of Gotham

Batman title would be the 4th, but Judd Winnick's arc was just bad so avoid him. Tony Daniel has obviously impressed both of us. ;)
