Removing grabble hook

Sorry if this has been posted before...

Simple question, if you tether to enemies together and leave them alone, will they eventually remove the grapple hooks or will they stay incapacitated until the die?

Aah yes, I believe that after a period of time they manage to untangle themselves from the grapple. I think mycoldman posted this a while ago, I can't quite remember.

Attachments last different amounts of time depending on the situation. So a living enemy will untether himself after about 6-7 seconds if you just leave him alone. It's a different situation if you're towing him behind a vehicle, stringing him up to a lampost or whatnot. If however, it's not a person, it'll pretty much just stay attached for as long as you want (though dragging an explosive barrel behind a speeding car will eventually make it blow) and you can disconnect the tether by tapping the grapple button again. You can only have one at any single point in time.
