For The People who want to train, or just have fun, Make basic maps to have fun with cars, places, boats, grapple and enemys.

Grapple: Basic, Untextured Buildings are scattered throughout.
Cars: A array of cars to drive around on flat space. on edges there are bumpy hills, and one cliff
Boat: Water with a island in the middle
Plane: A plane and empty space
Enemys: Lots of enemys running around in a small forest, you can choose rpg , sniper machine gun or shotgun

I see that your thread slipped under the radar a bit :)

Its not a bad idea, but I can imagine that the map will contain areas like these anyway :o

There should be flat enough areas in the desert for the cars, there is already a fair bit of water for boats, and definitely enough room in the air for planes :D

Though considering your idea, it makes me wonder how fun a Far Cry 2 style map editor would be in this game, if it allowed you to build maps on a much larger scale than the Far Cry 2 maps. I think this idea was brought up in another thread, so I'm not claiming that I considered it first or anything :) But of course, its likely not an option anyway - maybe in Just Cause 3. (That is a phrase that we will probably be using alot for new features that we dream up :D)

or that could be an early early demo....instead of releaseing something like the first one.....then after this for awhile then they could release like a real one with the actual map...i would be totally fine with that!!

Yeah, just something you can use for fun. make extremitys you would never see in the game, like having to grapple small floating spheres and get to the end :D

The gameplay they showed at E3 would make a wicked demo, Id love it. and itd last 10 minutes, is that so much to ask? A map editor would rock, but I doubt itll be placed in the game.
