What kind of levels you'd like to experience?
I'd like to have a mission in a giant abandoned castle somewhere on a mountain outside the city. Half ruin, half taken over by vegetation.
I really have this picture in my mind, being in a higher level of the castle, standing before a giant broken window, the wind is howling and the bit that's left from a beautiful curtain moves by the wind, the full moon enlightens the dark room and you hear the howl of the wolves far from the forest while you are looking out into the mountains. Must be a moment of exciting peace.
The situation is, that something unknown happened centuries ago (the castle is of raw gothic beauty), warning signs of significant age are to find on the way to the castle, advising trespassers to stay away. The place is unholy to the Hammers as well as to the Pagans, so it is left abandoned for good, but that doesn't mean you wont meet some surprises.

I could swear there was an existing thread, but I couldn't find it with the Search function (probably forgot to check the second page :D, guilty).
Merge if ya dare!
Too many merges to choose from!
I hear the merging winds from afar...won't be long now.

Perhaps you mean the "merging vines"?. :D
one vine to bind them all and in the dark threads keep them

There is a castle in Spain, the "Güell Cellar". It has a very interesting and unusual look. I think it would be a very interesting location for Thief if there was a castle or manor inspired by this design, looks like fun to climb around.

Looks like a very interesting place indeed!
I can already imagine two guards at the front entrance, one at the balcony and one walking back and forth on a roof-section.
Nice location! :thumb:
Reminds me of a giant house/mansion I saw back on vacation in Italy. I would post a pic but I don't have any and I don't recall it having a name... I'll look into it anyway

It's funny that you should put that Gaudi building up, because I just came back from Barcelona (which was amazing) and the architecture (both Gaudi and pre-Gaudi) is incredible. I really think that there are parts of that city that can inspire Thief maps.
If someone tells me how to attach my photos I would be happy to show you some examples.

Very easy, go to http://imageshack.us/ and upload pictures without registration, you can even use fairly large formats, but try to keep the size reasonable (better saving the pics as JPG if your cam makes BMP's).
I agree, that Spain has some remarkable architecture, there are these castles and building inspired by surrealism, some crazy things (in a good sense).

Well if it did, it's just some photos of buildings in Barcelona. Obviously I'm not a photographer and I didn't go around taking pictures with Garrett in mind just to show on forums, but back here in sunny England I noticed that these would be quite nice places to sneaksy around in.
Use the insert image button when creating a link. Just edit your post and click on the yellow mountains and sun button and paste the appropriate link...if you want them to appear on the thread.

Nice, yes they work.
The tower in the first (http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/7555/barcelona003.jpg) picture looks quite Victorian, something to see in Auldale perhaps. The towers in the second (http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/9052/barcelona474.jpg) picture look like they could belong to the Brotherhood of the Hand.

Also, check out photos of the 'Gothic Quarter'. I mean, even the name sounds like somewhere in The City.
Actually your pictures are huge, so it's better to have just the URLs:

I'd like to see something like this somewhere in a forest in Thief 4:

With a resident cackling witch?
I'd like to see Pagans that aren't using dead things to build houses, aren't chopping down trees, carving up the place, etc., or doing anything the Hammerites are known and hated for by them, while being the flip-side of the same coin, nonetheless. Any structures and clothing should look like it was grown and cultivated and nurtured for that purpose and never destructive (save for the spilling of the blood of manfools for their accelerated herby magics). Any structure in the forest that looks like someone took axes, hammers, and saws to trees should not be pagan in nature and should be a target for pagan eco-terrorists. At least, with magic-wielders and plant and earth shapers around (like Viktoria and Constantine), steps and hollows and stone faces could be wrought without Hammery destruction and forged tools, and direct permission and blessings for the agricultural work of breaking a little earth could be asked for and granted followed by heapings of gratitude and worship.

Can't the pagans use nature for their survival, and give back to it, in a circle of life, though? Or some of the wood huts and structures could be built from dead trees? I kind've liked the treehouse village in Thief 2. It may be cool to see nature unharmed for some structures or things in certain areas... but not 'everything' Pagan. They can live in their nice little tree houses and still be 'at one' with nature, imo. And if their teachings and scrolls say otherwise, then so be it. It's just one of those things that 'is' in Thief, a mystery contradiction, non sequitur, where we shouldn't need an absolute explanation.

Maybe something like a destroyed Overlook Mansion?
