what does it mean by levels or chapters?

im playing mini ninjas
its great and i love
but im confused about the levels or chapters...
i finished 3 levels now
is it means 3rd level in chapter 1??
how many levels and chapters are there??
cos i want to save some levels for playing on airplane(so boring)

I presume that the chapters are the main bits but separated into levels. I'm not sure about the overall amount though, maybe someone else will be able to help you out there.
