Anyone else get this message when trying to install the game from disc? I did a search on the net w/ very few helpful results. Interesting enough I can download the demo and it plays just fine on my computer but I can't install the full version from disc.

try the autorun.exe, not the setup file in the INT folder.
see if that works.

No can do. Same results.
I do, from time to time get the message: Windows can't find INT/setup.exe.
But it may be that my dvd rom is crapping out on me. It's a crap shoot for it to recognize certain games like Arkham Asylum, Oblivion.

Try copying the entire DVD to hard drive and installing from there. You might still need the disk in the drive (you definitely will to play), but it should only be doing disk checks rather than trying to read big chunks of data.
If that doesn't work, compare the number of files on the DVD with the number copied to the HD - if they're different, your DVD drive is probably a bit sick.

That worked. But what sucks now is that launching the game doesn't recognize a legitimate disc in drive.

sounds like you have an old dvd rom? The older ones cannot recognise dual layer DVD's. To avoid in the future the only thing to do is upgrade im afraid.

It seems the dvd/cd drives have a 2 year life expectancy or something. If I were patient enough I'd wait to replace it w/ a more up to date one.
But I'm not. I wanna play this game!
I think when I replace the drive I'll try and install it from the disc instead of copied files.

I have the same problem and the windows explorer occasionally stops responding when exploring the dvd!
I've now tried the dvd on two different computers one with xp/dvd and one with vista/hddvd-bluray and the disc doesn't work on either of them. So I guess I'll have to return the game tomorrow.
I got the disc replaced and now it works.

Excellent! Good for you.
Turns out I needed to replace my DVD Rom. Got a new one now and it works perfectly.
