Mini Ninjas Characters Won't Show Up

I have a question: We just purchased Mini Ninjas from Steam. It just loaded onto our PC, but the characters are invisible! The weapons show up, but no characters. Any ideas how to fix?

What graphics card have you got? Also make sure it is updated with the latest drivers as that is a common cause of graphics-related issues. ;)
