UGH, I upgraded from Win 7 RC to Win 7 RTM this weekend. I tried starting up Batman (using same folder as installed to previously on another drive) understandably it didn't work (Windows Registry was the worst MS concept..). So I installed selecting folder where it was previously installed. Welp that didn't work, install went very quickly but launching the game crashed probably because it overwrote some v1.1 files (back from when I was running Win 7 RC) but not all of them. SOOO I delete the Batman folder and figure I'll re-install. WELL now the installer has the Install Game disabled (greyed out) UGH, so I can't install the game. I went into Add/Remove programs but since the game is deleted it fails saying it's missing some firewall file. HEHE :mad2: I think Eidos overthought this one.. How do I re-enable that Install Game option?

I had a similar issue where my computer froze when installing the first time, so I had to uninstall and then reinstall the game.

You have to open up the DVD in your explorer, not the autoplay menu. There will be a folder labeled INT. Open it. The setup executable is in that folder.

Finally found a workaround, I tried your suggestion. Running setup would go into the uninstall and fail. I ended up recreating the folder copying the files in the dvd root all files except the cabs (and subfolders) into the folder I had it installed to previously before deleting and then reran uninstall and it uninstalled. Then I was able to re-install then redownload the 1.1 patch (shew). Took 1.5 hours from when I wanted to play, but finally got game running again now to get my save game working again.
Now my problem is it says my previous save game is corrupt and no way I want to go thru it all again.. I hope there's a workaround for this. Seems as though savegames aren't usable on new OS installs for some reason.
