Hello,

a few days ago I bought the game and had a lot of fun with it. But now I'm through the whole game a few times. I want to resell the Game.

My question is: Is it possible and legal to resell the game due to the copy protection? I mean, my serial is already linked to my Windows-Life-ID and the Gamingtag....?!?

I'm pretty sure you can't resell it.

Can anyone confirm?

I often give away games I'm done with to friends. If I did that I wouldn't want to have a problem with my Live account.

hmmmh, that seams to be a question to the publisher or one informed person of the development team.

well i guess if its the downloadable version then no, if its the CD version it has 4 activations per month, so if you were to uninstall it and... actually no they make it so you cant sell it just like a downloadable version. Its the way the Pc is going at the moment, games just have no resell vaule.

Why don't you just uninstall it and play another time like a yr from now or a few months from now? On your other topic you claimed to love this game, now you're already bored of it...

You're right, and there's a long back story to this. The reader's digest version is that publishers dislike any model that allows selling used games because they think it takes money out of their pockets. Some industry analysts predicted that all publishers would cave in to digital distribution eventually, and likely sooner rather than later, because they have reduced distribution costs and could eliminate the institutionalized sale of used games... that is to say, sure -- you might be able to eBay your activation code or something like that, but you would no longer be able to walk into a Gamestop and pick up a used copy of a game because you basically have a ZIP file, installer, and an activation code... nothing Gamestop could really resell.

Yes, I like the game. But within a few months the game goes budget and my monetary loss is too big then. And I'm not a collector. I'm a gamer.

try installing with same key but under a different gfwl id if it works then yes sell it.technically you dont own the game just license it but this is the same for books games and dvds yet millions are sold on ebay everyday

so if someone can install it with the key you got then sell it.

The thing that annoys me is the fact that publishers will go for digital distribution to save themselves costs on packaging, the retailers cut, printing of manuals etc but then charge RRP anyway! If they really want Digital distribution to take off, they need to sell at the same price that play.com and amazon are selling at! I bought Left for Dead on PC, pre-ordered through steam and got 10% off. I could have still saved £5 by buying from Play.com instead. Until the prices are what I'd call realistic I'm shying away from Digital distribution. Case in point, I got Batman AA for £17.95 from Zavvi. Steam want £29.99. Play.com have it up for £24.99 and I get quidco from them too. It's just greedy money grabbing, but I guess Eidos are short of a bob or two and need the money! RRP for batman is £34.99 I believe so Steam is at least cheaper than RRP this time.

I should also say, very few places allow the trade in of PC games, simply because of the licence key issue and the possibility of the seller still having the game installed with a no-CD crack of some sort, rendering the original, especially in online games practically useless.

It works! I've installed Batman on my laptop and used the live-account of my wife with the same key again included the activation process.

It's fine to sell the game on say, ebay. It will work for the new owner fine. I have heard this from windows live admin, directly.
