My game can't get further than trying to sign in to games for windows live. Why?

Is it me doing something wrong? Can I fix it?

Yes. Sometimes it logs me in, others it just pretends to sign in, the swirly thing goes round and round, and nothing happens.

How are you connected to the Internet. have u tried using the GFW client that is in your programs list.. Ie nothing to do with batman, see if that connects?

I am connected through a router.

The games for windows live application opened from the desktop works fine.

The thing with Batman, is sometimes it logs me in straight away, and other times (more often than not) it hangs on the sign in screen.

Do you have Open NAT & UPNP enabled if not thats your problem.

99.9% of GFWL issues are related to that and many EU ISP's keep resetting the NAT status to Closed from Open. Look around here it's MS support forum for GFWL but search first as I guarantee you will see the solution rather than wait from someone from support to see the thread:
