View Full Version : Play pre order and armoured batsuit unlock

I have just got the game that ive preordered before from play and inside i cant find the code anywhere and in the game itself there is no option to enter the code for the batsuit. Im really dissapointed was this a scam or am i missing something? Im reluctant to start playing without the armoured batsuit which was the only reason ive pre ordered from play.
Can anyone help.

I thought the armoured batsuit was something you unlock after you finish the game. Could be a different one though.

well my invoice says :Batman AA with Armoured batsuit unlock code. However i cant find the code anywhere in the box or envelope or anywhere in the game to enter the code were there one. And i mean

afaik you should either get an email with the code or a little piece of paper with it on it. But a fair few people haven't gotten there codes from memory.

I got my code. It was E-mailed to me. They might send them out in a few days. You enter code via GFWL. It does not effect the story mode at all. The only thing it effects is the Challenge Mode. So you may as well start playing. If you don't get by monday, I'd E-mail Play.com. I hope this helps you out.

Yep, you should have received an e-mail with the unlock code. I did, but i'm not going to use it, I want to unlock it by beating the game :)

I preordered BAA on Eidos Shop and I received it today. The preordering give me a bonus unlock code for the Armored Batsuit, and I received the code by E-mail from Eidos Shop a few days ago.

You should look at your mails or contact the shop where you preordered it.

Anyway, I tryed to activate the bonus code on the GFWL program and it don't work. Anyone have informations about this problem ? I tryed many times and I always get the error message...

It looks like Live is having problems. Wait til tomorrow. Are you sure you've got the code exactly right? Some characters could look like others. If it doesn't work tomorrow i recommend emailing Live and asking them.

I think you will find you need to redeem the code from INSIDE the game.
I had the same problem with Crime Alley.

Play the game and access GFWL by pressing Home. Then use the Redeem Code there. :thumb:

Oh thx, I didn't see that one. So I did go to unlock code directly in the BAA's GFWL menu, and I got this message :

Again, many tryes, tryed caps lock numpad etc, but useless as the letters and numbers shows correctly in the boxes. FAIL

How is this possible ? Does it mean my code has already been unlocked by someone ???

Try tomorrow as there could be a server down right now other posts think.
If not you will need to contact Eidos maybe. I know it's annoying.

The suit is only for Challenge Maps so play the game anyway and enjoy it :)

Thx gclhoutx, I think it can help many people having connection problems. You should post it where people have that too.
Anyway those ports are already open on my router. That's not the problem.

As others said the Suit is for the challenge maps and can't be used for the story part of the game. Might check to see if you need to open any ports for your firewall for GFWL to operate correctly. Even though the progam does add some rules for the game it does not add the following ports listed in the readme file for the game to operate correctly.

2.4 Firewall and Required Ports

When you Install Batman: Arkham Asylum the installation process will automatically add the game to the list of exceptions for Windows Firewall. This is required to allow the user full access to Games For Windows - LIVE.
The following ports are required to be opened to use Games For Windows – LIVE.

* TCP port 80 (Internet)
* TCP port 443 (Sign In)
* TCP port 3074 (Content Download)

Well, I send two mails to Eidos shop one week ago, still no answers. I'm starting to think Eidos (like many others) don't give a darn about PC owners and their problems.

Come on, I preordered the game only to have this Batsuit earlyer, when I could buy it in the store down the street. And it's official Eidos Shop, it's not like it was a weird shop somewhere in the desert. Give me the Armored Batsuit I've payed for, please !

The last thing I know, I will never preorder a game again.

By E-mail directly from Eidos shop, like I said in the previous posts.

I can only think about four explanations :

1. They send me a wrong/unactive code

2. The Armored BatSuit unlock code is not active at the moment on GFWL

3. Someone has intercepted the E-mail before me, but I doubt this is even possible

4. The person who send me the mail has just used it for him before mailing. I doubt that's possible either.

Bear in mind you get this suit when you complete the game.
You probably coulda done this by now..
Just out of interest are you actually french?
And is your Live account registered in France?

Yeah I'm aware of that.

I'm registered in France indeed for both GFWL and Eidos shop. Do you think the french codes are having problems ?

And by the way i'm at 50 % finding every single riddle, so it could take a while before 100 %

That could indeed be the problem..
I doubt they didn't prepare for it though.
I have ~170/240 riddles done.
So I'm about 70% of the way! :D

Hi.

After a few days and a lot of emails later, I still have no answer from Eidos Shop or anyone else. Thank you very much for the help you didn't give, and for the "lies" about a so called "Armored Batsuit unlock code" given for the preorder.

Then never send me a working code, so I call that not respecting a preorder bonus exclusivity.

I will never preorder again from Eidos, and will really think about buying one of their games again.

does seem a bit cheeky, offering you something that you get anyway once you've completed the game, that you can only use in features that you are most likely to try once you've completed the game anyway.

Yes it is cheeky. Hopefully it's just a little thing. Imagine if it was a Batarang, a t-shirt or whatever expensive stuff ! The point is they didn't respect what they said they offer. They just didn't do their job and didn't answer any mails.

Now I'm acting like a twelve years old boy, because they seams to treat me like a twelve years old boy by ignoring. I hope someone can talk this forward to Eidos customers service.

Yeah, same problem here. I've sent several emails to play.com (not to Eidos however) to tell them that I did not receive the so-called armoured batsuit unlock code that was supposed to come with my order. To date, they did not answer.

I pre-ordered the game from their website because it was affordable and because of the code, which is clearly listed on my order, but I did not receive any email with the code.

I know this is a little thing and complaining about it may seem childish, but like DjParagon said they do not respect what they said they offer, and at the same time they get all the benefits because the offer attracted (naïve) people like me that paid for it. I certainly won't buy from this website any more, unless they solve this problem.
