Question for PS1&2 players

My daughter has a PS1, and Tombraider games for it. TR2,4, and 5 I believe. Will those games play on a PS2? And will they look ant better? To my eyes the games don't look so good on the PS1(and her TV is a really good flatscreen Sony). They play great, but graphics are not what I'm accustomed to from my PC. PS2 any better?

I think I'm right in saying, you can play PS1 games on the PS2 but you will need to keep a PS1 memory card if you want to save the game on the PS2. Also the graphics will not be any different if you are playing a PS1 game on the PS2, but all PS2 games will have improved graphics.

However, you can not play PS2 games on the PS1, so if your daughter is looking to buy the new TR game AOD, she will not be able to play it on her PS1.
