It's lengthy but this is what was going to be zero issue for vindication for DarkestDawn comics but for time sake we decided not to

EXT. WAYNE MANOR.NIGHT

The night is dark a pale full moon shines brightly over he mansion and the Gotham skyline.

INT.WAYNE MANOR, MASTER BEDROOM.NIGHT

The room is fully decorated; it looks as if it newly remodeled to fit a more modern setting. The bed is empty and the sheet is rolled back.

A radio is on loudly as the camera pulls back into a shower.

INT. WAYNE MANOR, SHOWER.NIGHT

FEMALE RADIO ANNOUNCER
This is Janey Sawyer on Gotham nightline your need for the Gotham feed. People around Gotham even the world have been captivated by one thing or one man I should say, the Batman. You either love or hate this city you can find that out from any Gothamite. Do we really need vigilante justice? I have with me Dr. Emille Johnson recently in town in Gotham with his new book “Me, Myself and Society” I’ve read it and suggest you read it as well. Dr. Johnson it’s good to have you.

The camera shifts to a naked Bruce Wayne in a glass shower the steam from the water covers the majority of his body.

BRUCE WAYNE is a dark haired, handsome man in his early thirties who is the son of the late Martha and Thomas Wayne and is the alter ego of BATMAN.

DR. JOHNSON
Thank you it’s good to be here. Speaking of the Batman I think it is indeed disturbing that the police in general let an outlaw vigilante run free.

JANEY SAWYER
Some would agree that he has helped the city, from the mob, and the color characters that would strike terror in Gotham.

DR. JOHNSON
In a way yes, but it is not logical or lawful. Gotham City is...

The water stops and Bruce heads out of the shower and wraps a towel around his waist. He walks over to the radio and turns it off.

BRUCE (V.O.)
Gotham, my city.

BRUCE walks through the mansion and goes to the Common Room with a hardened demeanor.

INT. WAYNE MANOR, COMMON ROOM.NIGHT

BRUCE walks up to a large picture on top of a fireplace of Martha and Thomas Wayne. He looks at the picture with a softened face.

BRUCE closes his eyes

BRUCE (V.O)
My mind often goes back to a boy facing the bodies of his parents in an alleyway

(FLASHBACK SEQUENCE)

Two shots from the shooters magnum at point blank fly through the air one landing on MARTHA WAYNE. Her pearls dance in the air. The other bullet hitting THOMAS WAYNE in the side, he staggers as blood comes from his mouth and their bodies hit the ground.

YOUNG BRUCE falls to his knees looking at his parent’s bodies holding his tears until they busted from his eyes.

BRUCE (V.O)
The acrid smell of gunpowder and the crimson tide of my parent’s blood. As the dust settles I realize one thing…

(FLASHBACK SEQUENCE ENDS)

The shot of BRUCE and YOUNG BRUCE sharing one head like Two-Face.

BRUCE (V.O.)
(Saddened)
…I’m alone.

BRUCE walks over to a tall clock and sets it to a time. The clock opens and it leads to the Batcave.

BRUCE walks down the steps and into the massive cave.

INT.BATCAVE.NIGHT

A vast amount of things are featured in the cave, from cars, a giant coin, a dinosaur, weights, batcomputer, and a chemistry set. BRUCE is in the middle of the room looking up at it all.

BRUCE (V.O)
I trained my body to the peak of mental and physical perfection. To do what no one else will do.

BRUCE walks over to the batcomputer and sits in the chair in the “thinking position”.

The computer brings up all of Batman’s rogue gallery, stats profile and known locations.

BRUCE (V.O)
This endless war on crime I crusade against.

Closer view of the rogue’s gallery and the camera goes over each villain’s profile.

BRUCE picks up a paper and looks at it, the headline reads. POLICE BAFFLED AS GOTHAM MOB ACCUMALTES NUMBERS

BRUCE (V.O)
Will it ever end?

The last shot is of the Joker on the wall.

BRUCE brings up security footage of Arkham Asylum. He looks though the hallways passages and then into the inmates cells.

BRUCE (V.O)
Criminals are a cowardly and superstitious lot that is for certain.

The image is of TWO-FACE in his cell.

Bruce (V.O.)
Some are just poor pawns in the pursuit of something yet get tangled in a web of destruction.

The camera then switches to KILLER CROC

BRUCE (V.O.)
Animalistic drive and greed fills the blood of those in pursuit of their big score.

Last camera fixes on the JOKER strapped in a straight jacket smiling in a corner

BRUCE (V.O.)
But others are completely different. They are beyond repair and approach, a criminal element all to its own.

BRUCE stares deeply into the screen transfixed in thought. A hand lies on the back of this shoulder.

The hand belongs to ALFRED PENNYWORTH.

ALFRED is an elderly servant and close friend of the Wayne family for years. He is BRUCE’S most trusted person and one of the few who knows BRUCE and BATMAN are the same.

ALFRED
Master Bruce. Master Bruce?

BRUCE snaps out of deep thought

BRUCE
Yes Alfred

ALFRED hands BRUCE a pile of police records and documents.

ALFRED
The confidential files you requested sir.

BRUCE takes them and starts reading it.

The files have mob informant’s names, addresses, and suspected cops on the take.

ALFRED
Might one inquire that you will be donning a certain cape and cowl tonight?

BRUCE
(Assuring)
Uh huh

ALFRED
(Dry wit)
I’ll prepare my usual specialty, stitches and bandages.

ALFRED starts to walk off and turns around

ALFRED
(Remembering)
Oh yes, Ms. Kyle called she was wanted to talk about the Gotham Animal Charity. Shall I tell her you will be out for the evening?

BRUCE
I’ll haft to take a rain check for now, in fact write her a check send it by messenger.

ALFRED
The amount?

BRUCE
Leave it blank

ALFRED walks away

ALFRED
Consider it done sir.

BRUCE looks down with his eyes closed.

BRUCE (V.O.)
Selina. So close yet so far apart. Probably the only woman who could truly understand me, we’re the same right down the middle. Only one thing stands between us...the law.

BRUCE stands up and goes into a chamber of the Batcave, it features the Batsuit and various gadgets.

INT.BATCAVE, BATCHAMBER.NIGHT

BRUCE
Tonight is a good night. A hunter’s night.

Bats swarm through the chamber over BRUCE. The camera goes over to the entrance of the chamber and BATMAN steps out from the swarm of bats into the Batcave.

INT. BATCAVE.NIGHT

BATMAN goes to the batcomputer and takes out a small disk from the computer, putting it in his utility belt.

The batcomputer beeps BATMAN pushes a button and ORACLE pops up on the screen.

ORACLE is BARBERA GORDAN, she is an intelligent redhead. After being permanently paralyzed by the JOKER, ORACLE uses technology from a clock tower, aiding BATMAN in his crusade.

ORACLE
Oracle to Batman are you there?

BATMAN
I’m here

ORACLE
How are you holding up?

BATMAN
Let’s cut the pleasantries, did you get the information on the mob?

ORACLE
Yeah it looks like you were right the mob has been recruiting new numbers. Especially the new Triad gang in town.

BATMAN
I was afraid that Gotham’s Chinatown was getting a little over crowded.

ORACLE
Don’t the Russians and Italians jointly run Chinatown?

BATMAN
Yes and the last thing we need in this city is another turf war.

BRUCE brings up on another part of the screen pictures of Triad members and their bosses.

BRUCE
I know the Triads and they wont back down without a fight, they wont leave with their tails between their legs to them it will bring dishonor.

ORACLE
I’ll notify Gordon.

BATMAN
Speaking of Gordon the confidential police files have been breached.

ORACLE
You mean some of the GCPD files have disappeared?

BATMAN
It looks as though records of Gotham’s finest is off the books as well. Gordon must know about this.

ORACLE
(Puzzled)
You think he already knows about the missing books?

BATMAN
I highly doubt it, the amount of cops on the take are far greater than I guessed. And most of them work straight with Gordon. He wouldn’t have a chance.

ORACLE
Well **** is helping out all he can, taking Tim out for a while.

BATMAN
This is something I am better off doing alone. I’m glad he wasn’t too stubborn to take in Tim for a while.

ORACLE
(With a sassy look)
You know where he gets it from.

BATMAN grunts

BATMAN
I’m syncing you into my headset, I might need some files crossed examined.

ORACLE
Sure thing

BATMAN
Batman out.

BATMAN shuts down the computer.

BATMAN goes forth to a large pad in the middle of the cave a mechanism lifts up the Batmobile and the engine starts.

ALFRED walks in and looks at BATMAN

BATMAN
Gordon will have some unexpected company tonight

ALFRED
And I trust you will make sure this goes smoothly.

BATMAN (V.O)
I am at war with my city, the filth that inhabits it. I use the same shadows that took those from me years ago. I am the boogeyman of Gotham an urban myth they say. I am Batman

BATMAN hops into the batmobile and speeds out through the cave and into the night.

ALFRED
Good luck sir.

(MEANWHILE)

INT.GCPD, GORDANS OFFICE.NIGHT

GORDAN sits in his office with a cigarette and a small glass of vodka.

GORDAN is Police Commissioner, one of the few uncorrupted by Gotham’s underbelly. He tries to balance the law and the uncommon friendship he has with BATMAN.

GORDON (V.O)
(Bitter)
This city is abominable. The very thought of things that goes down in this place make me cringe. Not to mention the offences I’m not aware of. I sit here dazed with a building full of vipers with badges.

GORDAN sips the last drop

GORDON (V.O)
I could remember when this place wasn’t so terrible, the crime corruption all was probably as true as a fairy tale, now it’s turned in to a nightmare. I’m starting to think it’s just a festering sore with no cure, no cure at all.

A knock is on GORDON’S door.

A large shadow is over it. GORDON looks up motioning with his left hand.

GORDON
Come in.

A large man walks through the door, that large man is HARVEY BULLOCK.

HARVEY BULLOCK is a fellow cop to GORDON, a large sloppy man who is on the right side of the law, though his tactics are questionable, he has a strong distrust and distaste for BATMAN.

BULLOCK has on a large trench coat and a sandwich in his left hand with condiment stains on the jacket.

BULLOCK
Hey Commish we got Tommy Marcetti in custody.

GORDAN gets up with enthusiasm

GORDON
Good we finally have that bastard in chains. Hopefully we will have something concrete this time.

GORDON puts on his coat and walks with Harvey out of the room.

INT.GCPD, JAIL-HALLWAY.NIGHT

Prisoners stand and sit in cells looking with hard looks at GORDON and BULLOCK.

GORDAN and BULLOCK face the interrogation room with TOMMY MARCETTI inside smoking a cigarette.

BULLOCK takes the last bite of his sandwich and slaps GORDON on the back.

BULLOCK
(Mouth full)
You ready Jimbo?

GORDAN opens the door to the interrogation room, and BULLOCK follows in behind him with a folder full of files.

GORDON
Sits in front of TOMMY MARCETTI

TOMMY MARCETTI is an Italian mob member known as the Mortician Marcetti he is a sleazy, looking man in his mid thirties with a 70’s like attire.

TOMMY puts his legs up on the desk and smiles very sly like at GORDAN

TOMMY puffs a giant cloud of smoke into GORDONS face and laughs

GORDON
So Tommy looks like we meet again

TOMMY lets out his cigarette.

TOMMY
(Smiles)
The pleasure is all yours man

GORDON
(Stern look)
Didn’t know the mob recruited smart asses.

TOMMY
Mob? I don’t know nothing about no mob man, last I head Tommy Marcetti was a tire salesman.

GORDON
You are Tommy “The Mortician” Marcetti?

TOMMY
Never heard of that guy

GORDAN takes a file out and pulls out a picture.

GORDON
The law says different

The picture is of JOHNNY MARCETTI with notorious crime figure CARMINE FALCONE.

TOMMY
Pfft…and? This don’t prove nuthin’.

TOMMY sits back with a smile.

GORDON
It doesn’t carry much weight but this sure as hell will.

GORDON throws out another photo of TOMMY talking to the Russian mob boss.

TOMMY’S face drops with a surprised look

GORDON
I think the Italians would be interested in knowing where your allegiance lies.

TOMMY
Look, nothin’ is wrong with making a little more money on the side.

BULLOCK
(Chuckles)
I’m sure both families will sympathize with your financial hardships.

GORDON
Look Tommy just tell us what we need to know about this and maybe we will let this offense slide.

TOMMY
I want my lawyer.

BULLOCK
Don’t we all, we called him he’ll be here in the hour.

GORDON
So tell me what do you know about the new gangs?

TOMMY
Man I’m not telling you ****, I got both people heaven and hell after my ass.

BULLOCK
He just don’t got the stones Commish

TOMMY stands up in a rage and spits in BULLOCKS face. BULLOCK lunges over to TOMMY and starts to hit him.

GORDON gets in the middle of the two and breaks it up.

GORDON
Bullock no! We don’t need anything for his mob lawyer to use on this.

TOMMY
You broke my friggen’ nose man.

BULLOCK
(Enraged)
I’ll take out your spleen if you ever try that **** again.

GORDON and BULLOCK walk out and TOMMY struggles to his feet with his shirt covering his nose.

INT.BATMOBILE.NIGHT

BATMAN drives down the street at blistering speeds with a hardened look.

ORACLE pops on his screen

ORACLE
Hey it’s me, I crossed examined those files you mentioned.

BATMAN
Did you get anything?

ORACLE
From the looks at it there are only four people who have access to the files on the squad besides my father.

ORACLE looks keeps typing

A sheet prints out in the batmobile of the names of officers.

BATMAN
Looks like it’s a high probability of someone on this list. Good work.

ORACLE
I’ll keep you posted.

EXT. GCPD, ROOF.NIGHT

GORDON and BULLOCK stand on top of the roof, GORDON turns on the batsignal and looks up at the sky.

GORDON
You need to calm yourself Harvey

BULLOCK
Don’t even defend that scum

GORDON
Well even that scum has rights.

BULLOCK
This city is hard, and when you’re a citizen especially a cop you need to be harder. You need a callous that runs as deep as your soul.

GORDON turns around

GORDON
That is not how we operate.

BULLOCK
Oh yeah I’m all for a better Gotham

BULLOCK points to the batsignal

BULLOCK
(Yelling)
But don’t lecture me on law when you have a flashlight shining for a vigilante to show up and do your dirty work!

BULLOCK turns around and walks to the roof exit and leaves.

GORDAN
Damn it!

GORDON lights up a cigarette and looks at his watch. He walks over to the edge of the roof and looking over at the city streets.

Behind him a dark shadow appears.

GORDON turns around and sees BATMAN with his cape flowing in the wind.

BATMAN
Gordan, we need to talk.
