We also will answer any questions you may have on these pages, just be sure to state who it is for. Thank you. And I will be sure to put the link up when I make the thread. Now without any firther interuption here is chapter 1...

chapter 1:
I'm Batman.
I strike fear into the hearts of my enemy's.
I have faced Killer Croc, Bane, Ivy, Quinn, Clayface, Firefly, and Mr. Freeze.
So why is it that I can't bring myself to beat Joker, and Scarecrow to a bloody pulp right now?
Because they have Robin as a hostage.
Joker has a gun to his head, and Scarecrow has a knife to his throat.
On top of all this, Robin has be drugged with a lethal dose of Scarecrows "Fear gas". If I don't get Robin to the cave in fifteen minutes, he dies.
I have been faced with so many obstacles, but never was one of my teammates dieing.
I am down to two Batarangs.
One for Joker, one for Scarecrow.
"Come on Bats! You gonna just let the kid die?" Scarecrow shouted from across the big metal warehouse.
"No no...just wait while he thinks of a "plan" to save the little boy wonder! Ha!" Joker spat at crow.
A gurgling sound came from Robin in response. There wasn't much time.
I gripped the two batarangs in each hand. Just before I threw I noticed that there were chains holding big metallic lights. They looked fairly breakable.
Instead of hitting Scarecrow and Joker, I threw at the chains.
The lights fell on top of Scarecrow, but Joker threw Robin to the side and Jumped in front of me, and kicked me to the floor before I could block his attack.
Joker took the few moments to get a few hits on me, laughing maniacally while doing it.
I jumped up, plunging my feet into Jokers gut, and knocked him into the wall.
Joker appeared to be out cold, so I quickly cuffed him, and Scarecrow, and ran to Robin.
"I...know...how you feel Bats..."
Joker was still up after the hit he took...oh well he can't do anything now, not with the cuffs.
"Don't give me the silent treatment! Look at me when I'm talking to you!" Joker was growling now, and sounded truly angry. He did this at points.
"Shut up!" I yelled back as I scooped up Robin.
"Oh you know....you...know you want to kill me."
He just wouldn't let up, so I kicked him again, breaking about three of his rotting teeth.
It shut him up.
I ran to the Batmobile as fast as I could.
Just ten minutes to get Robin the cure.
I drove away fast as it could go.
-Two streets away on top of one of Gotham's many skyscrapers five minutes earlier-
"So wait...what exactly are we doing up here when we should be down their with Joker?" Bane asked confused.
"Simple. We wait for Batman to get Robin, and run out, then we blow him to bits." Two-Face replied.
Bane glanced at the rocket launcher he was given, and threw it off the building.
"What are you doing?!" Two-Face screamed at Bane.
"I'm doing the smart thing, and not taking orders from a clown and a Wizard Of Oz character. Now if you would like to join me I will see you at the bottom." Bane said quickly as he jumped off the edge.
"Fine!" Two-Face began to run down to the ground floor.
-Batmobile, present time-
I might be going to fast. If this part of the city wasn't usually empty at this time, I might have actually killed somebody.
As I turned the corner I suddenly realized I had doomed both myself, and Robin.
Bane and Two-Face, destroying the city. I mean really destroying it.
This area was more populated, for a split-second I saw the terrified faces of the people I wouldn't be able to save.
Then for a moment, everything went black.
The sound of metal twisting and grinding cut through the silence.
The Batmobile was just ripped in half, and Bane stood in front of me, laughing. It reminded me of Joker, how he had me down, beating me, and laughing. Just laughing.
It angered me. I thought of Tim, dieing, or maybe dead by now.
I heard gasping. It was weak, but I could still faintly hear it.
Tim was alive...
And I was going to fight for him. He was like a son to me, he deserves it. He deserves this fight that may or may not save his life.
Then I looked back at Bane, shocked.
Robin was in his giant fist, not the Batmobile.
"Hey Batman! Remember when I broke your back?"
"BANE NO!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
"I have longed for breaking your puny bones again."
"BANE DON'T DO IT!!!"
Just like that he twisted and snapped Robins back in two.
Bane ran off with Two-Face.
Now it was just me.
Tim was gone...
The only thing I could think of was that I should never play hero again...

Chapter 2:
-Three weeks after death of Tim Drake-
"Master Bruce?" Alfred called walking into the cave.
"Yes Alfred?"I turned to face him as he walked over to me.
"Sir," he began, looking at the computer, "I thought you would like to know that Bane has been put in Arkham."
That caught me off guard.
"Arkham? Why would they put him in Arkham when he isn't insane?"
"Well sir...Bane has become unstable. They think that Bane has had so much "Venom" that if he isn't pumped with it for, well his whole life, he will die. And on top of that Arkham has a storage area just for him."
He deserves to die...
No.
I don't kill, I don't want people to die. If I did I would be just as bad as Bane is. What is happening to him now is good enough. At least now he won't be a problem anymore.
-Four years later Bruce falls in love with Selina Kyle, Catwoman, however her days as Catwoman are done, and Bruce is finished with being Batman. No major crimes have been reported because of villains getting "to bored" without Batman, to even try to escape Arkham.-
-Arkham Asylum-
Joker, Clayface, Mr. Freeze, and Two-Face all sit together during a lunch period, where they are free to talk, but always are under supervision.
Mr. Freeze spoke first.
"Why do we even bother with these meetings Joker? I mean, look, if Batman was going to come back he would have by now. There is nothing to prepare for, he's gone."
"Maybe you're right Freeze, maybe Batmans dead. Oh wait, my silly sense is telling me something! It says that we shouldn't listen to you because you live in a house full of INSANE people."
"Uh....So do you." Clayface said, confused.
"Yes...but, that's not the point! NEW TOPIC!!! Hurry Two-Face! You pick!"
"Let's flip a coin. Heads, we talk about breaking out and going on a killing spree. Tails, we let Joker rant about Batman."
"Aw jeez Harvey! Give the coin a rest!" Clayface yelled.
Two-Face ignored him and flipped the coin.
Everyone watched as the coin landed back in his hand.
"Heads." Two-Face announced.
"Haha! Fantastic!" Joker laughed..
-Two years later still no escape from any villains. Bruce and Selina have a young boy named Tim, after Tim Drake.-
"Your going to grow up to be somebody very special in life."
Selina told baby Tim.
"He'll own the company when I'm gone, if he wants to. I don't plan on forcing him to do anything." I told her.
"That would be nice I guess...a family thing. Just like your dad."
"Yeah." We never discussed my father much, most likely because all she knows about him are storys from when I was young.
-Two months later Selina is found dead in one of Gotham's many allys. She is buried next to Tim Drake. Bruce raises Tim Wayne on his own. Tim grows to the age of fifteen. Bruce is now in his late fifties.-
***The book is now going to be taking place in Tim's head unless it's flashing over to another part of the story, like the villains, Then it will still be third-person.***
Well... It's official.
I now hate high school. I mean HATE it. These are not the people I want to be around.
Maxwell Crane. The son of one of Batmans old villains, Scarecrow, who for some stupid reason isn't even in Arkham even more, which dad thinks is one of the most stupidest things he has ever heard.
After school I went to look for Alfred, who was picking me up to bring me back home.
I am scared though, Alfred doesn't seem like he will live to much longer.
He's just becoming to old. I mean, I don't know his age, but still...
"Hey Wayne?" A voice called from behind me.
I turned to see who it was.
"Maxwell?"
He smiled. "No just Max please, I really don't like the fancy name my dad gave me."
He seemed a little nicer then I thought he would be, maybe he wouldn't be so bad after all.
"So...you wanted something? I'm not sure if I could help you, but I can try."
"Yes. I'm going on a tour of Arkham Asylum where my father works. Wanted to know if you would like to come. You seem into all the villains and stuff." He said, pulling out his homework.
He handed it to me and I looked over it.
It was a english paper, about his father being Scarecrow.
"And I think that this pretty much covers the other reason I thought you would like to come. My dad isn't really insane anymore but, if you asked him, he could show you his old costume, and introduce you to the Joker himself.
It sounded like fun. After all it would be like seeing people from my dads past. I never saw the Joker in my life, even though he was almost famous for being so....evil.
"Uh...yeah sure. Sounds like fun."
-Two days later, Arkham Asylum: Home for the criminally insane.-
We arrived at Arkham for the tour, Max took a few other friends.
A few guards walked outside to greet us before we entered.
"Hi kids, just wanted to say I hope you enjoy your tour, please try not to anger any of the patients." One said.
Jonathan crane met us inside. He told us all the rules, greeted each of us, and took us on the tour. We went by many cells. Some completely enclosed, some we could see the people inside.
We saw Mr. Freeze, in a Arctic-looking cell. He stared at us as we passed.
Next we saw Zsasz...screaming like a maniac.
"We don't know what's wrong with him." John said. "He just keeps screaming like that."
"DEMONS!!!!" Zsasz screamed as we passed. "GO AWAY!!! GO AWAY!!!!!!"
We moved on. Next it was just a man sitting in a large force field box.
"Clayface." Was all John said as we passed.
Then we finally found the Joker. He stood up when he saw us, and walked to the force-field barrier.
"Hi kids! How you liking your new home?!"
John looked a little uneasy.
"Joker, they're on a tour. They arn't inmates..."
"Oh but they will be! You'll see. This world is crazy! And it just keeps getting better and better. Normally I was causing it, but now I get to just sit back and relax without Batman being here to stop the crime. Ha! Batman! I swear...if I ever see him again I'll rip out his eye balls..."
Joker was clearly crazy. He still thought Batman was out there.
As we walked down another long hallway there was a loud scream from one of the rooms. I looked for the room it had come from. When I thought I found the right one, it was completely sealed off. On the door there was a plate that said "Bane".
John took us to a room full of villain costumes. He showed us his old one, and put it on for us to see.
When I arrived home I realized dad and Alfred were gone, so I just walked around to find something to do.
I went inside dads private study. When I was looking for something to read I fell into the wall and suddenly a door opened...
In front of me was a dark stair-case leading down in a large spiral. I stepped in and the door shut behind me.
At first I was afraid. Then I saw what I had found.
I was in the one and only bat cave. So many thoughts filled my head... then they all formed into one thought. The fact that my father was Batman, The Dark Knight they called him.
I had just found one of the most amazing things on the face of the earth.

Chapter 3:
-Arkham Asylum 12:38 AM-
Jonathan Crane arrives at Arkham Asylum. He gets out of his car and walks to the door.
"Whoa. Hold it Crane." One of the guards stands in his way and doesn't move.
"What's the problem Nick?" Crane Asks the guard.
"Why are you here so late? Your shift is over."
Another guard stands in Cranes path so he can't get inside.
"Guys, I was called in. I need to check on a few patients then I will be out."
Both guards looked at each other then back at Crane.
"Whats in the case?" One asked.
"You guys just are not very trustworthy are you?" Crane sighed.
Crane pulled out a siring with a yellow liquid inside.
"Something to help my patients. I was told to bring it. Now if you would please step aside..."
Both guards knew that they were out of reasons not to let Crane in, so the stepped out of the way for Crane to enter.
Once inside, Crane put down the brief-case, and opened it up.
-Two minutes later: Jokers cell-
"HEY ZSASZ! YOU AWAKE OVER THEIR?!" Joker yelled toward Zsasz's cell.
"Go.....away......." Zsasz groaned.
"Oh your no fun to talk to anymore! What happened to you?! Huh? Batman driving you crazy too?"
"DEMON!!! SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!"
"That's all you say anymore..." Joker sighed, thinking of days when he and Batman had fought. Those days were over now though, he was getting to old to be running around like that.
Joker laid down in his cot, tired, and ready for some peace and quiet.
It was nice at night, even in Arkham. Sure it was a creepy home for crazies, but it was quiet most of the time.
A ding noise broke the silence and Cranes voice came over the PA.
cafeteria"Good evening. Dr. Crane here, I would like the following inmates brought to the cafeteria: Joker, Killer Croc, Clayface, Two-Face, Zsasz and Mr. Freeze. Oh! And please have straight jackets on all of them, wouldn't want any breakouts, or deaths.
-Arkham Asylum: cafeteria-
"Hey Crane! I'm hungry!" Shouted Joker.
"Oh shut up." Crane said.
Zsasz's muffled screaming was very annoying the others.
"Doctor?" Freeze sighed, "Can you please shut him up..."
"Yeas Freeze I can." Crane pulled out the shot, and put it in Zsasz's neck. Zsasz stopped screaming, and instead, looked somewhat happy.
Crane took off the mouth piece.
"I'm going to kill you for that..." Zsasz whispered.
"I asked you if you wanted to be a part of my test, you said yes, and you say that I am to blame? Maybe I should leave you here.
Crane let everyone out of the Straight-Jackets, and gave Two-Face, Joker, and Freeze they're suits.
Freeze ripped off a mask that he was wearing to stay cold, and alive, and threw on his suit.
Joker and Two-Face put they're normal clothes on right away too.
Crane took off the long trench-coat he was wearing, and underneath was his original Scarecrow outfit.
He put on his mask, suddenly his voice changed to a low raspy voice.
"Gentlemen...We are back, and now, with no Batman, nothing will stop us."
"Crane, how do you expect to stay in Arkham if your running around as Scarecrow?" Freeze asked.
"Simple, I will leave this all to my son, he will be much better then I am because he is in his youth still. He knows everything."
"What about the cameras?" Zsasz looked at all the cameras that were in the room.
"Taken out...for now. Now run, I have yet to show I am "innocent". Crane yelled, running off and throwing back on the coat.
Scarecrow walked to Banes cell, swiped his card through the slot and went inside.
"Scarecrow....?" Bane whispered, "Help me...."
"Oh don't you worry Bane, you'll be down in no time at all." Scarecrow said, plunging a needle in Bane and injecting a huge amount of the venom that he needed.
This will last for two days. Remember when we captured Robin and took him to the warehouse? Meet me there when you need more.
"Yeah...sure." Bane replied, ripping away the wires.
"You gave me enough to finally fight." Bane said, and pounded the metal wall down.
Bane ran off and released many of the prisoners.
All the guards rushed in to attack Bane, Crane ran around the corner, no longer dressed as Scarecrow.
"Dr. Crane! Get out of the building!" One guard called.
Crane got to his car and left. He looked to his son, Max, who was in the car waiting, and said "It's time son.".

Chapter 4:
I just couldn't stop looking at all of the costumes, all of the gadgets, the vehicles!
Could any kid? I mean, I just found out that my very own dad was Batman!
I walked around a little looking at all the stuff. Then I paused.
At first I felt fear...then excitement.
Standing in front of me was my father, and Alfred, looking at one of the old suits.
One that I was looking at was a black and grey one. This one was blue and grey.
"Dad?"
Dad looked up, a little startled, then turned around slowly to face me. Alfred looked shocked, dad not so much. In fact dad looked like he was expecting me.
"Son..." Dad began, but I interrupted him.
"You were Batman! You know how much I'm obsessed with Batman, why didn't you tell me YOU were him?! I mean, this is so cool a-"
"Hold on." Dad stopped me before I could go any further. "Look, son...I was Batman, but I should not be your idol. Batman failed to many times...Bane killed Robin, and even before that Killer Croc beat Batgirl to a bloody pulp. Batman let this happen. I told Gordon who I was, and told him I was done. So a will keep that promise."
"You gave up just like that?" I asked, a little frustrated.
"I have seen to many people die because of my actions. My parents, and my teammates. I just can't deal with that."
I could respect that I guess. I mean, if he was quitting because he didn't want to see people die, I was fine with that, but if it was because he failed a mission, that would make me mad.
I didn't know what to say next. It seemed like the moments were minutes, and I needed to break the silence.
"So is that why Gordon comes over so much?"
"Yes."
Ok, I guess I could start a conversation like this...
"So is this why you trained me in combat? So that I could take your place?"
"Son, that was for self-defense. If you were Batman, you would have to fight people with guns, not little bullies. I'm not saying you can't do it here though, what you do in life is up to you. And I will support you if you do chose to be Batman, but I would prefer you don't."
Dad was right. If I was Batman I wouldn't be up against kids, I would have to fight strong, gun wielding people, who would shoot first, and ask questions later.
But I was trained well, trained by the best. Ever sense I was nine.
"Dad...I want to. I was trained by you, I can do this, I really can. And it's not like I'll be fighting any villains, they are all locked up now..."
"I'll let you then, but you will need to make a suit, and a form of transportation."
"Why not the Batmobile?" I wondered out loud.
"Bane trashed it, it took me years to re-build it. It still won't run though." Dad sighed.
"Gordon will be here very soon, we are meeting here, we have been allot actually."
"Sir, shall I get the wine?" Alfred asked dad.
"Yeah sure." Dad said before a loud grinding noise came from behind us.
"That would be Gordon." Dad said.
The sound of Gordon's car came from the same location before it became visible, then parked next to the Batmobile.
Gordon stepped out and dad walked over to greet him.
"Good to see you again Jim." Dad said, shaking Gordon's hand.
"I only wish it were on better terms Bruce." Gordon said.
"So what's going on that was so urgent Jim?" Dad asked, as Alfred walked downstairs with the wine for them.
They both took the wine and thanked Alfred.
"Well, Bane broke out of his cell, and released several others. We fear that somebody may have given Bane to much venom." Gordon said in a grave voice.
Dad looked at me, then back at Gordon.
"Jim, I think we can help." Dad began, and informed Gordon of my choice.
The both looked at me and dad smiled and said "Now let's get you a costume."
-Arkham Asylum 5:07 PM-
Dr. Crane walked down the hallway observing the damage.
"Oh man, what do we do now? This will cost thousands!" One guard whispered to his friend.
Crane was having a hard time keeping a straight face.
Crane had the feeling he was being watched, but ignored it. He went into the cafeteria, where he could be alone for a minute to make a phone call.
As Crane looked through his case for his phone, a dark figure approached from behind.
Crane quickly turned around upon seeing the shadow of the tall man behind him.
"Who....are you?" Crane asked.
"A friend...at the moment." Replied the figure, stepping out of the dark shadows to reveal his black suit and mask, with a big blue bird on his chest.
"So Crane..." Nightwing began, taking away Cranes case and searching it, "Where exactly were you last night? You know, when Bane broke out of his little metal box?"
"I was not here at the time." Crane replied.
"Oh really, Scarecrow?" Nightwing closed the bag, and threw it back at Crane.
"My days as Scarecrow are over uh...Nightwing."
"We'll see Crane." Nightwing said, punching Crane in the stomach.
"Ah! Hey...have some respect kid, I am an elder, and I will sick Gordon on you if you do not cut it out!"
"Ha! Gordon? In a city of corrupt cops, I won't have any trouble dealing with that fool. In this city...cops, gangsters...all the same anymore." Nightwing frowned.
Nightwing picked up Crane and threw him against the wall, knocking him unconscious.
"Next time you might not be so lucky old man." Nightwind said, leaving a card beside Crane that said "Tell your friends.".

Chapter 5
We started work on the suit.
I had no idea what I wanted as far as weapons, and colors. There were so many suits that my dad had from his days as Batman...maybe I would have allot of suits too one day, if this worked out and I didn't die in the end.
There would always be a risk of death, no matter what, and I had to deal with this fact. I mean, was I just some nerd dressing up in a Bat-suit? Or was I actually going to be the Batman and fight super-powered villains??
Gordon pitched in to help with the suit in any way he could. We decided on something bullet-proof, but not something that would slow me down to much.
"I know just the thing..." Dad said, walking to one of the glass cylinders containing a grey, full body suit. It looked like most of the others, as far as the material to make it.
"Now we add the ears, the symbol, and maybe re-color it, but this is only a prototype, from years ago. I made it for Robin, it is a flexible, bullet-proof, cloth." Dad said, grabbing more materials.
Everyone pitched in on the suit.
Alfred made the ears and cowl, creating a three-way radio between me, Gordon, and dad.
Dad made painted the rest of the suit, and Gordon put the blue bat symbol on the chest.
I put on the suit as fast as I could, so that I could get ready to do a little practice.
Dad directed me to a mirror, and surprisingly, I looked like Batman. I mean, I knew I was in the bat suit, but I actually fit the part. I did do allot of working out, and wrestling, but I knew that that wouldn't matter when fighting somebody like Two-Face, who fights dirty, and uses guns.
I looked a bit more closely to see the full detail of the suit.
The gloves, cowl, cape, and boots were navy blue, while the rest was pitch black. They looked very nice mixed together.
First dad put me threw target practice, which I did great in when throwing the batarang. This must have been from archery when I was younger, because it really improved my aim.
Next he put me threw grapple training. I was a bit less graceful here... (Almost fell 2 storys off the mansion!)
"Come with me..." Dad said, taking me back into the Batcave. "Will you guys wait for us upstairs?" Dad asked Gordon and Alfred.
"Of course sir." Alfred smiled and left, but Gordon paused on his way out, and turned back to me.
"I hope you know what your doing Tim...after what happened to Barbra and Robin..." Gordon bowed his head at the thought of his long lost daughter.
"Don't worry about me. I know what I'm doing." I said with a smile.
Gordon walked upstairs into the house.
"Now son..." Dad walked away for a few seconds and came back in a old black and grey suit. "Come give me everything you've got."
I didn't know what to do really. I didn't want to attack my father, but he was telling me to, and to be fully trained for this, I would have to do it.
"Looks like I don't have a choice..." I said under my breath, thrusting my fist at dads face.
Dad was fast, to fast, when he dodged my punch.
I didn't have time to react when he grabbed my other arm, and threw me against the railing on the wide circular platform that we were standing on.
"I thought you were ready!" Dad laughed.
"I thought so to..." I said, jumping at dad, throwing him to the ground.
Dad kicked me in my jaw, and I stumbled back before I could get any major hits on him.
"Be prepared for anything, and everything." Dad said, punching me in the gut, knocking the breath out of me.
"Ow..." was all I could get out after that blow.
I took the split-second that I had while dad prepared his next hit to duck as he threw another fist at me.
I jumped up at him, punching him in his jaw, knocking him to the ground.
"Hurts don't it dad?" I spit out a little blood.
"Kid, I have had so many hits like that in my time that you wouldn't even believe the pain I had to go through. I had my back broken by a super drugged freak." Dad chuckled, as I helped him to his feet.
-Gotham City Sewer System, 2:12 AM-
Joker walked in to a large hidden room, filled with a few tables, five chairs each, a large "Vote Dent!" poster on the wall, various villain costumes, (Mr. Freeze's back-up suit, Scarecrows first costume, Black Mask's skull mask, and Banes suit), there was a big screen t.v., which the villains had used to keep track on what was going on with Gotham news.
The walls were made of grey concrete, and the ceiling leaked water in certain spots every now and then.
Joker took a seat beside Two-Face, who happened to be the only one there.
"So you know what this meeting is about? I heard Crane is putting it on, not sure though." Two-Face asked Joker, standing up and walking over to a mini-fridge filled with drinks and food.
"Aw hell Cranes putting it on? I thought we got rid of 'em when he got us out of Arkham..." Joker sighed, leaning back in his chair.
"You know sometimes I think he's the one who needs to be in the asylum." Two-Face replied, pouring his drink.
Two-Face filled his glass up half way before putting back the drink and filling the other half with a sweeter tasting beer then the last he had used.
"You want anything Joker?" Two-Face asked.
"No, I'm fine." Joker stood up, and turned on the t.v.
The door creaked open again, and Freeze walked in with Clayface.
"Hey guys." Clayface said.
"Hey freak." Joker chuckled.
"Don't start." Freeze said, sitting at one of the tables.
There was a long moment of silence before the huge Killer Croc walked in.
"Don't eat all the food this time." Joker said, pointing at Croc.
"Maybe I'll just eat you clown." Croc growled.
"I do look very appetizing don't I?" Joker smiled.
"Oh shut up." Croc said, "I eat old men like you for breakfast...literally."
"Break it up you two." A voice came from the doorway, as it slowly opened to reveal a figure wearing a red cloak, and hood covering his face.
"Who's this clown?" Two-Face laughed, pointing a gun at him.
"The Joker, at your service!" Joker giggled.
"Not you!" Two-Face sighed, getting tired of the Jokes.
"Whoa whoa whoa! Guys let's not fight. We're all friends here." The cloaked figure said. "I have called you all here to inform you that I am the new Scarecrow, my name is Max Crane, I am the son of John Crane. Now, my father was attacked earlier today, by somebody calling himself Nightwing. If we should be worried, I am not sure, but try to lay low for a bit, leave everything to me. If you wish to stay here there are rooms over there." Max pointed to a wooden door on one side of the room, then pointed to the other. "And that room over there would be a computer room, there are only three computers, but I can assure you they are very nice, fast computers. Please keep an eye on this Nightwing thing for me, so that I will know if he strikes again, so does anybody want to stay here? If so if you need anything I will be sure to get it for you now." Max said, removing the hood.
"We could use more food!" Joker said, looking for something to eat. "I like burgers by the way."
"And some grape wine please." Mr. Freeze said, looking in the fridge.
"I'll pass it on to my father. I need to go prepare for this Nightwing character, I have a feeling I will see him soon." Max let out a dark laugh as he walked away.
"I hope your ready Gotham." He whispered.

Chapter 6:
When I woke up the next morning I was a little sore from the training yesterday.
I went down to breakfast, and ate a bowl a fruit, after all I would need to keep eating healthy if I was going to do this.
When I looked at the clock a saw I actually had about another hour left before I had to go to school, so I did a little jogging, and lifting weights.
I wasn't weak, or fat, I was in good shape, but I wanted to add to what I already had, that way I could do better in fights.
Dad didn't have anything going on this morning so he told Alfred he would take me. When we were in the car not much was said, but I wanted to ask him so much about being Batman. Finally I decided to ask him, which was something I didn't really feel comfortable about doing.
"Dad, what was it like...you know, being Batman?" I asked, awkwardly.
"Son, it was the best days of my life, when I knew that I was making a difference in peoples lives. It was also the worst, I had to watch some good people die, and you might have to as well. It won't be easy, but when you save a person for the first time, you'll get to see what was so great about it." He looked at me, and smiled. "I want you to go on your first run tonight ok? Just to get used to things."
"Sure dad." I said.
We arrived at the school, I got out of the car and went inside.
The crowd of people was always hard to get through, but finally I got to my locker.
"Whats up buddy?" Drake, somebody who has been one of my best friends ever since sixth grade, asked me.
"Hey Drake." I said, opening my locker.
"Tim, how do you keep your locker so clean? I mean, I can't even keep it that neat." He pointed inside the locker.
"Alfred got me used to being clean I guess." I replied with a grin.
"Oh tell him I said hi would ya?" Drake asked, yanking his locker open. "Hey, nothing fell!" He smiled and looked at me. Just as he looked over at me a big text book fell on his head, and knocked him over.
"You ok?" I laughed, helping him up.
"That never happened, got it?" He snapped at me playfully.
"Your secret is safe with me." I said.
I looked around to see if anybody saw what had just happened, and noticed Max walking over to us.
"Hey Drake, you ok?" He asked, looking at the back of Drakes head.
"Yeah why?" Drake turned to face Max.
"Uh...because your head is bleeding." Max said.
"Oh jeez it is." I said.
Drake's long black hair was keeping it from showing to much, but it was dripping down the back of his neck.
"Ugh, that's what the smell is." Drake said. He had a very good sense of smell. "I hate the smell of blood." He muttered, wiping his head with a cloth from his locker.
We all started to walk to English, we all had it first period, when Drake stopped in his tracks.
"I'll catch up in a minute ok guys?" He said, walking outside to a group of people, druggies.
"Ah, he's still doing drugs?" Max sighed. "Horrible stuff."
"Yeah, I swear it'll be the death of him. He was caught a few times by the police, and still hasn't learned his lesson." I said.
"Hey man we're gonna get some new drugs called "red" or something like that, you wanna try some?" One of the guys said.
"Um...sure man." Drake replied. "I gotta go now, I'll see you tonight at your place to try it ok?"
"Yeah see you there dude."
Drake walked back to us, and gave me a funny look.
"What? You guys look like you saw a ghost." He said looking over to Max.
"Never mind." Max said, and we began walking again.
The rest of the day went by pretty quick, I asked Max if he wanted to hang out at all, he said he was busy, Drake was going to his other friends place, so I guess I would have a bit more time to be Batman tonight.
When I got home I did all of my home work, worked out more, trained a bit more with dad, tested the equipment, and then finally, suited up.
"You know what your doing Tim?" Dad said, giving me two boots.
"Yeah, when did you make these new boots?" I asked, noticing the boots had wires connecting to the soles.
"They will respond to your thoughts. When you want to fly, think it. They will help you move around, until I teach you how to use the Bat-wing."
"Oh that's cool." I smiled, and put on the boots. "Well...I'll be back. Tell Alfred I'll try to be back before dinner, to make him feel better."
"Yeah, or I could eat your plate, now go." Dad said pointing at the long tunnel.
"I have to walk down that huge tunnel?" I sighed.
"Or fly through it." Dad said, putting on his mic, and sitting at the computer.
I started running down the tunnel, and was extremely nervous, but I finally decided to fly, and the next thing I knew I was zipping through the cave, when I arrived outside I flew straight to Gotham.
"You there dad?" I asked.
There was a small bit of static before dads voice came over the mic. "I'm here." He said.
"I am heading into Gotham now." I said, landing on a building.
I looked down into the busy streets of Gotham. This was my home, and at the same time, my playground.
I jumped down from my perch, swung off of a flag pole and landed on the next building over. I had to at least try not to have to much fun, I needed to focus on training.
"Tim, something just came in about some hooded man holding a handful of people at gun-point inside "Toms Sushi", a restaurant close to your location. I am sending you the location now.
Just then a small map popped up in front of me, through my lenses, pointing out the area.
I quickly went to the Sushi restaurant, and ran inside. The people were laying on the floor, screaming.
The hooded man turned to face me, pulling off the hood to reveal a mask, covered in stitches, which held it together, and a zipper for a mouth.
"Hello Nightwing. So glad you could make it." He chuckled.
"Nightwing?" I asked confused, and the man leaped at me, kicking me down.
"Ah, come on Nightwing, you must be better then this!" He laughed.
"I don't know what your talking about! I'm not Nightwing!" I yelled, throwing the man into one of the tables.
He slowly stood, and chuckled.
"It's going to take more then throwing me into tables to take me down. And if you ain't Nightwing, then who? Superman? Ha ha, do green rocks hurt you?" He was starting to get on my nerves.
"No, I'm Batman...do I even look like Nightwing to you?" I said.
"Batman? Batmans dead. He hasn't been around for years, why would he show up now?" His voice suddenly turned more serious.
"To show freaks like you that there is a reason to be afraid of the dark, and to sleep with a night light."
"Interesting..." He said, just before the loud ear-piecing noise of glass breaking.
We both looked over to see a man dressed in red, with a huge blue bird on his chest, he had black hair and a blue mask over his eyes.
"Crane! What did I say?!" He shouted.
Crane...Crane used to be Scarecrow. I looked
at the man. He did look allot like Scarecrow. Not exactly the same, but still, he did look like him.
"Ah, you must be Nightwing." Scarecrow said in that same chuckle.
"Cut the crap Scarecrow. I knew you sprang Bane from his little tin can he was being held in."
"Ha ha. Me? And...you think I am Jonathan Crane?
Crane is gone, I am the new Scarecrow..." He said.
I wasn't sure what to do at the moment, I wasn't even sure who this other guy was, but he must be a friend if he fights bad guys right?
"Oh shut up." Nightwing said, punching him in the face, knocking him to the floor.
Nightwing looked at me and walked towards the entrance.
"Wait." I said, walking over to him. "Thanks for the help, it's good to see there are friends in a city filled with villains..."
He turned quickly, and pushed me down, hard.
"Listen here kid. I wasn't HELPING anybody here, except myself. You just happened to be here when I was, ok? Second, stay out of my way, got it? If I EVER find you in MY home turf again, I'll do to you what I did to hay-sack over there."
"What did I do to you man?" I asked, standing up.
"Nothing...yet." He smiled a very evil looking smile, "But when you will I'm sure, and when you do I will find out just who you are, and I will find you."
I was shocked at the things he was saying, I was a good guy like him, how dare he turn on me like that.
Nightwing walked away, and left me to deal with Scarecrow.
I walked over to Scarecrow, and let out a long sigh.
"Looks like I'm taking you to Gordon...Ugh."
Suddenly Scarecrow started choking me.
"Remember earlier when you said you were going to give us criminals something to fear? Let me show you true fear!" He said, shooting a white mist out of his wrist.
I fell back, after he released me, coughing. When I finally stopped I stood up, very dizzy.
I looked at Scarecrow, he slowly morphed, and his fingers turned to large spikes.
He reached up and unzipped his moth-piece, to reveal large pointy yellow teeth, when they opened up very wide, spiders crawled out everywhere, before giant spider legs reached out and one really big one leaped from Scarecrows mouth.
The lights began to flicker on and off like strobe lights.
I didn't know what had just happened to me, but one things for sure, I was scared.

Chapter 7:
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" I screamed, frantically wiping spiders off my body.
"You won't get far, I'll be back for you later..." Scarecrow said, running in the direction Nightwing had gone.
The spiders didn't stop, it was like they just kept coming! I couldn't stop them, so I ran, I ran out of the restaurant, and flew off to the top of the nearest building.
"Hold it together Tim...hold it together...." I said to myself, leaning against part of the building.
"Tim whats wrong?" Dad asked through his mic.
"I...I'm not sure...Dad when you fought Scarecrow, did he use any kind of gas?" I asked dad, nearly falling over.
"Son, get to the cave right now!" Dad commanded.
"Why? Won't it wear off?" I coughed.
"Tim, it will only get worse until you have been injected with the cure, which only I have."
Oh crap. That's not good...
"Ok dad I'm on my way." I groaned, and walked to the edge of the building. I looked down before jumping, and it was like the building had suddenly grew another forty storys.
"Whoa...." Was all I said before jumping off and flying.
I was still too dizzy, and should have waited, but the more I waited the more likely the chances of getting to freaked would be.
"Jim are you there?" Dad asked.
There was a little static before Gordon's voice came over the mic.
"I'm here, sorry I had a few things I had to take care of."
I was glad to have Gordon and dad, it helped make things a little less freaky.
When I was in the middle of lying I realized something...
I had just went the wrong way, and was now deeper into the city...but closer to Scarecrow.
"Dad I'll be a little longer then expected." I said, flying lower to search for Scarecrow.
"No! You need to get this injection now! Who knows how bad it will get?" Dad yelled.
I ignored him. After all, it couldn't get that bad in the five minutes it would take to find him, and ram into him while flying.
After flying low for a few minutes I saw him running through an ally trying to avoid being seen by the people that were out in the streets.
When I landed there was no sign of him, so I checked the next ally over.
As I walked down the ally searching for Scarecrow, I heard a demonic growl, then a loud booming voice screaming "CARL COME BACK TO BED!!!!" then there was another voice, this one a bit less creepy, "But honey! I have work off tomorrow!" then came the loud boom in response "I DON'T CARE CARL!!!! TURN OFF THE TV AND COME TO BED RIGHT NOW I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVE TO DELIVER MAIL OR NOT, GO. TO. SLEEP." then the small, weaker voice again, "....Yes dear..."
That kind of freaked me out, and made me worry about getting a girlfriend, then I snapped out of it and went back to looking for Scarecrow.
Finally I found him in the maze of concrete, standing at a dead end, staring at me.
"What...?" I asked, trying to ignore the dizziness.
"Nothing. You know, these walls might crush us both if you don't get out of here." He said, pointing at both sides of the ally.
"What do you...oh..." The walls slowly started to close in on me.
"You see it don't you?" He chuckled, and with his chuckle, the zipper mouth twisted into a huge grin. "Are the walls going to crush you?"
"Shut up..." I whispered, telling myself in my head that it wasn't real.
"Whats wrong? Am I getting to you? Are you scared??"
"No..." I lied.
"Ha! Then come and get me." He said.
"Fine!" I shouted, running at him.
As I ran the ally became longer and then suddenly Scarecrow was gone. I turned, to see him at the other end of the ally.
"How did you get all the way down there?!" I asked, running out of breath.
"Down where...?" Scarecrow wondered.
I thought about it for a second then I figured out he hadn't actually wound up at the other end, and that he was right in front of me. The fear gas was just messing me up.
I reached out and grabbed Scarecrows neck.
"Got ya." I said, slamming him into the wall.
"Ah...such violence..." Scarecrow sighed, kneeing me in my stomach.
"Even Batman could have sen that coming!" Scarecrow laughed, pushing me off.
I tried to leap at Scarecrow, but he grabbed me, and rammed me into the wall, face first.
"Ok...that hurt...." I moaned.
"Oh shut up." He said, kneeing my back.
"Ow! That...is it." I said, kicking Scarecrow off. Scarecrow flew into a window.
I started to see things again, a big demon was inside the house, screaming something at us that I could not understand.
Then I saw what was really happening. The demon was actually a man shooting a shotgun at Scarecrow.
Scarecrow pulled out a pistol, hiding behind a wall on the other side of the room.
I ran towards Scarecrow before he could shoot the man, and tackled him down. I picked up the pistol, and threw it out the window.
When I looked back at Scarecrow, he had pulled out another pistol.
"Again?" I sighed.
"I said get out of my house!!" The man screamed, shooting at the wall Scarecrow and I were behind.
Scarecrow threw me into the table, and shot the man.
I had no idea what to do, my first night out and a man gets shot? Not part of my plan.
Luckily, the man was shot in the leg however, and not in any fatal areas.
Next Scarecrow aimed for me, and I jumped out of the way just before he fired.
Everything suddenly started to twist and turn, and I became so dizzy that I could barely get up.
"You don't look so good Batman." I heard Scarecrow growl.
When I looked up, Scarecrow had blood dripping out of his eyes, he unzipped the mouth, and so much blood fell out, followed by guts, then finally, he fell to the ground, he was a bloody mess.
I stood up and then I saw Scarecrow in front of me again, this time pointing the gun at my forehead.
"I thought you were dead..." I whispered.
"You wish." He laughed, pulling the trigger.
Nothing happened, just a clicking noise.
"You have got to be kidding me. There is no way this thing is out of ammo!"
I took my chance to strike, punching Scarecrow in his mouth while the zipper was opened.
There was a muffled noise, then Scarecrow fell to the ground.
I turned my mic back on.
"Gordon, it's me. Get some guys down here to pick up the freak." I said, looking at the damage done to the house.
I spit out a little bit of blood, then looked back, to see Scarecrow had left.
"Uh...Gordon. Scarecrows gone, he got away. I don't know how, but we also are gonna need a ambulance, I forgot to tell you, he shot this poor man."
"Sure thing." Gordon said, letting out a long sigh.
I realized that I did need to get the cure in me, before things got really bad. So I walked outside, and flew towards home.

Chapter 8:
-Mike Sim's house, eastern Gotham-
Drake slowly creeped up the stairs to Mike's room. His old friend's were waiting for him, all of them were druggies, they couldn't wait to try out some new drug called "Red". Nobody new what the name meant, nor did they care.
Mike's parents were away, so the guys had the chance.
Drake stopped outside the door, listening to the voices inside.
"I don't know what it does, but the guy I got it from told me it's awesome stuff, so I'm doing it. If your to chicken, go ahead and leave." Mike's voice came from in the room.
Drake opened the door, and everyone looked over, and smiled at him, waved, and then went back to talking amongst themselves.
Drake knew everybody there, there was Mike, his sister who Drake always forgot the name of, Randy, and Mike's friend Gary.
"I'll go first." Mike smiled, and pulled out a small shot, that reminded Drake of a gun.
Mike pushed in the needle and pulled the trigger, shooting in all of the blood red liquid in his arm.
Mike smiled again, and pulled out the needle.
"See? Nothing to it!" He laughed, giving everybody else one of the injectors.
Drake looked at his, wondering if it was a good idea or not, then shoved it in his vain.
-The Batcave-
Dad pulled out the needle, and put it on the desk.
"There. It should stop the dreams in a second..." He said in a emotionless voice.
"You ok dad?" I asked, then jumping back at a giant part of the roof that had collapsed in front of me. After I blinked though, it was gone. Just another one of the fear gasses hallucinations.
"I'm fine, I should be the one asking you that though. You should have listened."
"Sorry." I sighed, and walked upstairs to go to bed. "Night dad!" I called back down into the cave.
-Arkham Asylum-
"What are you talking about?!" Dr. Cranes voice echoed through the halls of Arkham asylum.
"What I'm talking about *cough* is Scarecrow Crane!" Warden Sharp yelled at Johnathan.
"But I didn't do anything, I was here, at work!! Ask Cash! He was with me the whole time!"
The two men looked to Aaron Cash, who shrugged, and said "He's telling the truth. I was with him for most of the night, helping escort some of his patients to the cells."
"Well we need to keep a close eye on this, we don't want people thinking your still the bad guy *cough cough* here." Sharp said.
"May I please get back to work sir? I could use the distraction to keep my mind off of this...outrage." Crane said angerly.
"Yes of course." Sharp waved his hand, dismissing the two.
Johnathan and Aaron left the room in silence.
"So where are you off to?" Aaron asked Johnathan.
"I have to do a session with Drury Walker tonight." he replied, walking towards one of the meeting rooms.
"Need any help?" Cash called after him.
"Nope I'm good! See you around Aaron." He smiled, and walked into the room.
Sitting in one of the chairs was a tall, skinny man. He had short light brown hair, and blue eyes. He looked to be about late forty's, early fifty's.
"And you are..." Crane began, picking up a sheet of paper on the table. "Ah, Killermoth...I haven't heard much about you, anything important I need to know before we begin?"
"Where's the guards?" He wondered, looking around the room.
"Guards? Oh, no guards, just you and me. I attempt to cure you and you probably attempt to keep from being cured." Crane chuckled, sitting down.
"Yeah. I know. I've had this done before, just there were always guards." He said, shrugging. "Ah whatever, you seem happy doc."
"Oh you don't know who I am do you?" Crane laughed. "Have you ever heard of the Scarecrow? The Doctor from Arkham gone bad?"
"Yeah I heard of him, but if your him then why the hell are they letting you back in? I thought you became obsessed with fear...or something, I don't know, I tend to worry about myself."
"So what does that mean? That you don't work good in groups?" Crane asked.
"Why do you want to know so much doc?" Drury's eyes filled with confusion.
"Because you see, I may look like the good guy here, but in reality, I am still the evil Scarecrow that everybody knows me as. My son and a group of many other villains, such as yourself, are going to be turning Gotham City upside down, and if you want my friend, you can be in the next wave of villains to go." Crane smiled.
"Who else is going?"
"Don't know yet, I'm making a list. If you say yes, you'll be first. The next one I will be checking is Riddler."
"Ok. Count me in." Drury said.

Chapter 9:
"Ugh." I groaned, looking over at my clock. The cure that dad had used had kept me from getting any sleep at all.
I jumped out of bed when I saw that it was already six, and I had to be to school in thirty minutes.
I stumbled over to the dresser, found a nice pair of clothes so that I would look at least a bit presentable. I nearly fell from the top of the staircase, and ran to the kitchen to get something to eat.
There was no sign of Alfred, so I just warmed up a small bowl of leftovers from the night before.
Dad drove me to school, I went to my locker and got all of my stuff, same old routine every day.
I walked to class, no sign of Drake or Max, and when I walked in the room I saw that they were both already over in the corner talking before the bell rang.
"Whats with your eye?" I heard Max ask Drake when I was walking over to them.
"What? It's fine." Drake laughed.
"Look in the mirror." Max said, pointing to the mirror.
"I'm not falling for that old trick..." Drake looked over to me, "Hey man whats up?"
I saw what Max was talking about now, Drakes right eye was almost glowing. It was sort of creepy.
"Uh...hey Drake." I smiled "Whats up guys?"
"I'm pissed that's what's up." Max growled.
"Why? What happened?" Drake asked, in a monotone voice.
"You guys haven't read the papers have you?" Max grumbled.
"Nope." Drake and I both replied at the same time.
"Some nut is running around calling himself Scarecrow. I swear if I come across this idiot I will kill him, he has no right to be doing this, he makes my dad look bad."
"Whoa calm down Max." Drake whispered. "We don't want to get the whole class staring at us."
"Right. We can talk about it at lunch, but for now let's just try to not attract attention." I agreed.
-Scarecrows lair-
"Heads." Two-face chuckled. "Come on Joker you can't win this."
"That's five times in a row Joker." Clayface nudged Joker.
"What kind of sick joke is this Face?!" Joker yelled, then went to a creepy chuckle. "I'm the only one who's allowed to joke around here!"
"Deal with it." Two-face said.
"Where did Zsasz run off to? He got away during the breakout didn't he?" Asked Croc.
"Eh, maybe he took another path. Who knows maybe we will see him soon." Clayface answered, going back to watching Two-face and Joker.
"Heads." Two-face chuckled again.
-Warehouse 13, hours later-
Bane stumbled through the big metal doors to the were house, he was so weak that he could hardly walk any longer.
He looked around the pitch black room for a split second, then the lights flickered, and brightened the room.
Standing in the middle of the room was Crane, and beside him was his son, dressed in a long red robe.
"V-venom! I need the venom!" Bane screamed, falling to his knees.
Crane walked over to him with the venom, and stabbed the needle in Banes neck.
"Listen Bane, I'm going to give you this map, follow it and you will find a hideout in Gotham's old sewer system, we will have a machine somewhat like what you were in when you were being held in Arkham. The thing is, this time you can now be more comfortable. Now make sure you follow the map, so you know where to go, then you can kill whoever you want, I don't care." Crane instructed, pushing the venom in Banes neck.
Bane transformed into a giant in seconds. Crane smiled, and stepped back.
"Oh! I almost forgot to tell you, watch out for Batman." Crane added, throwing on a long trench coat.
"The Batman?" Bane smiled under his mask. "If I run into that fool again, I will crush him. So don't tell me to watch out Crane, I am perfectly capable of killing him myself thank you."
"Good, that's what I like to hear." Crane smiled, turning to Max. "You think the others need to know about Batman yet?"
"Nah, knowing that Batman was still out there would drive Joker a bit crazier then he already is. I say we wait until later."
Bane cracked his neck and ran out the door.
"The Batman...I thought he was gone." He muttered to himself.
After Bane was a few blocks away, he heard a voice come from his right.
"Going somewhere big guy?" Batman stood on the side of the building, with his arms crossed like he saw this sort of thing every day. Little did Bane know that Batmans real thoughts were "Oh...crap.".

Chapter 10:
-Drakes house, 5 minutes before Tim meets Bane-
"Why can't I get any freaking sleep?" Drake mumbled, getting out of bed and walking over to his large bedroom window.
"Screw it." He sighed, and got dressed.
Drake opened the door to his house, grabbed his key, and began walking to the gas station to get something to drink. After a while he noticed that even though the wind was very strong, he wasn't the least bit cold.
"Weird..." He thought, but kept walking anyways, after all it was just wind, nothing that abnormal.
Drake turned the corner and smacked right into Max, who had changed out of his Scarecrow costume.
Max fell to the ground. while Drake just stood there confused for a second, before hold his hand out to Max.
"Max? You ok?" Drake asked helping Max to his feet.
"I'm fine. Man, I feel like I just walked into a brick wall though...where are you going?"
"Gas station, get something to drink, maybe a snack. Just needed some fresh air you know?" Drake smiled.
"I wouldn't call this city air very fresh but-"
"You know what I mean." Drake interrupted.
Max opened his mouth to respond, but before he could get out a single word there was a loud boom.
"What was that?" Max thought out loud, then saw Drake was holding his ears, down on his knees.
"Make it stop!!" Drake screamed.
"Make what stop...?" Max asked, in shock.
Drake started screaming. Max had no idea what to do, then he saw blood was gushing out of Drakes ears.
Drake looked at his hands, which were covered with blood, he started to shake.
Max looked up when he heard a sort of buzzing noise, to see Batman flying over head, then he saw Bane jump off the top of the building, tackling him out of the sky.
Batman broke free, and made Bane hit the ground first, to break his fall.
When Batman fell on top of Bane, Bane threw him into one of the small buildings across the street.
"Drake we have to get out of here!" Max yelled.
Drake just sat there, shaking, and bleeding.
Batman stumbled out with a long cut running down his arm.
"What...is that?" Drake gasped.
"What?" Max whispered, trying not to get Banes attention. If Bane had seen Max he probably would have killed him anyways. After all he was on a rampage at the moment, and probably would not notice him.
Drake looked up at Max, his eyes looked like they had filled with blood, then he screamed, and pushed Max away.
Drake ran over to Batman really fast, and grabbed him by the throat.
-Inside Drake's head-
I don't know whats wrong...
I don't care to know...
I want to kill, and that's what I will do. I'll kill until I can't kill anymore, or until somebody kills me, and I will enjoy it.
Wait...what am I thinking? I don't kill people, I'm just a kid. What is this? Whats going on?
This power...
I have never felt so strong in my life, but why do I want to hurt Batman? I'm pretty sure that the big guy is the one that I would want to attack, if anybody.
Not like I could take him though.
I hear a car alarm going off, I drop Batman from the loud beeps that are hurting my ears, I turn, and I see a car flying at me just a few feet from where I stand...

Chapter 11:
Everything was black for a minute. I couldn't really think, I was just out. It must have been from lack of air, or something.
I woke, startled, at five pieces of twisted metal, which at one point looked to be a car, but I could not tell because it was just to bent up.
I could only remember one thing: Drake. At least I think it was Drake, I can only remember something that I thought looked like him, but was covered with blood and had weird eyes.
When I looked through the hole in the wall, I saw something that almost made me puke.
Bane had Drake completely crushed under his fist, and when he lifted his hand, all that was left was a broken, torn, bloody mess.
"Now, where were we?" Bane smiled darkly behind his mask, looking over at me, and slowly walking towards me. I noticed long bloody marks on his chest that were not there before, and half of his right pant-leg was ripped off.
I felt something growing inside me. More emotion then I had ever felt, like a power-surge.
Rage.
"Come on Batman, get up and face me!" He screamed at me.
So what did I do? I did exactly what he told me to do:
I stood, and pulled out two batarangs.
"Come on, you get the first hit." I said.
Bane charged, and I waited for him to get close enough.
When Bane got right where I wanted him, I jumped over him, stabbed both of the batarangs in his back, and kept stabbing non-stop.
When Bane reached back to swat me off his back, I kicked off, and watched him stumble into the wall.
I quickly ran to Drakes body, all hope drained from my body. I was in complete panic!
"Crap! What happened?! What the hell happened?!!" I screamed across the street to Max, and started running over.
Just before he reached us, I felt a strong kick in my gut, and I went flying towards one of the many tall buildings on the street.
So when I am soaring through the air, right towards the building, what do I do? I try to use the boots to fly away.
I looked down at my boots and activate them before I can hit, but fly right into one of the windows instead of flying out of the way.
I crashed into the ceiling, then onto the hard floor, and skidded across the room until I hit the wall. Then my boots shut off.
"...Ow..." I moaned, slowly getting up.
When I finally flew down to the street, Drake was sitting up by Max, who probably just crapped his pants. I mean it's not everyday you see Batman fighting Bane, and your best friend nearly getting killed.
...Actually I probably even almost crapped mine when I found out Bane almost killed Drake.
How could he have survived that though? Bane was way to strong to not have killed him.
"Are you ok?" I asked Drake when I ran over to them.
"What happened?" Drake asked, shocked.
"You tell me." I said, just as shocked as he was.
"I don't know...I remember attacking some giant man or something, and you..."
I activated my microphone to call for help with Bane and Drake.
"Gordon are you there?"
"Always am." Gordon said after a few seconds.
"Listen, I need you to bring an ambulance for an injured civilian, and some, no never mind allot of cops to help get Bane back where he belongs. I'm sending you my location...now."
"On it." He replied after a small beep in the background from his radar picking up the data.
I turned back to Drake and Max.
"Helps on the way." I assured Drake.
"Help? I feel fine..." He said, standing.
"You need medical attention." Max said, trying to convince Drake.
"Ok fine I'll go ok?" He sighed, and stretched a little.
Max and I looked at each other, and in that exact moment, I got a really bad feeling in my gut, like one of those moments where you know that your looking into the eyes of your worst enemy for the first time. I got over it fast though after we both looked away.
Just when I felt that everything was calm and we were all safe, there was a low growl coming from behind me.
"Oh no..." I said, looking back to see Bane getting up, ready for round two.
"Stay back." I said to Drake and Max.
Almost as soon as I said it, Drake was charging Bane like a bull.
"What are you stupid?!" I yelled, trying to keep up with him.
"No! I think I might be able to do this!" He yelled back, jumping up an punching Bane in his lower jaw.
A loud cry came from Bane as he crashed to the ground.
"Told you." Drake smirked, rubbing his left wrist. "Ow..."
"You ok?" I asked.
"I'm fine. Think I might have broken my wrist though...ow!"
"Then stop touching it." I rolled my eyes under the mask.
"Yeah...here comes the back-up." Drake said.
"What? I don't hear anything." I said, confused.
"I can't either." Max yelled from across the street.
"Ugh...guys I feel like I'm gonna...pass out..." Drake moaned, falling back.
"Drake!" Max yelled.
-One hour later-
After going out to see Drake in the ER I decided it was best I went to bed. I needed the rest, after all the human body can only take so much.
"Time for bed." I whispered to myself as I climbed in and quickly fell asleep.

It's not bad, a lot of grammatic errors and you jump out of first and third person. Overall not bad. The story is pretty decent.

Thanks, please comment on the comments thread though! :o
And the jumping between first and third person is meant to be there. ;)

Chapter 12
-Villain's hide-out 12:15 PM-
"Screw it, I'm going to bed." Joker sighed, getting up from his seat, and smacking Two-Face's coin off the desk.
"What the hell was that for?" Two-Face growled.
"For kicks and giggles." Joker chuckled, walking to the sleeping quarters.
"Screw you." Two-Face retaliated.
Joker laughed a little, and shut the door.
Two-Face sat back in his chair and closed his eyes. It was finally time to just sit back and relax, and not have to worry about any loud annoying clowns.
Mr. Freeze stood and walked out into the sewer area with his gun, soon after Croc followed.
"Hello Croc." Freeze said, aiming his gun at the water and freezing over a small bit, and making a chair out of ice.
"What are you doing?" Croc asked.
"I am making a area where I can be just a bit more comfortable." Freeze replied.
Croc dived into part of the un-frozen water.
Freeze shrugged and used his gun to make a small square to rest his feet on.
"I'm hungry." Croc growled from under the ice.
"And?" Freeze replied.
"And your lucky." Croc said slowly.
"Hm? And why is that friend?" Freeze asked, leaning back a bit.
"Your lucky because I don't eat frozen meat, and Two-Face is lucky because I don't like burnt meat."
"Sounds like your a picky eater." Freeze smiled.
"I am." Croc laughed.
"I'll be back later." Freeze said, standing, and walking back inside.
"Bring me something to eat!" Croc yelled after him.
About a minute passed and Max came running down into the hide-out.
"You look like you just saw a ghost." Clayface said.
"I really don't know what I just saw..." Max gasped.
"Why what happened?" Two-Face asked.
"One of my friends, Drake, just about an hour or two ago, took out Bane!" Max said, wide-eyed.
"Wow, sounds like Bane might be a little out of shape if some high school punk is taking him down, oh no offense Scarecrow." Clayface Said.
"Bane was just fine, Max was freaking out though, and spilling blood everywhere." Max replied, his voice full of fear.
"Oh, and Batman's back too, guess I should have mentioned that earlier huh?" Max threw in.
"Are you kidding?" Clayface asked.
"No, I'm not joking, the Batman is back, and this time I think he might be a bit off his game."
"What makes you say that Crane?" Freeze asked.
"Well, when I first met him, he was not at all like the things that I have heard about him. If it was the real Batman, he should have known that I was going to hit him with my fear toxin, but he never expected it until I had already used it on him." Max explained.
"Well that is only good for us then right?" Two-Face said.
"Probably." Clayface replied, "And we may not want to talk about this around the Joker, you know how he is, for all we know it would make his crazier then he already is if he found out that the Batman was still alive."
"You guys just try to keep down here ok? I will call on one of you if I need you, but until then I would not risk it with the cops and all." Max said.
"Sure." Two-Face and Clayface said at the same time.
"Ok then, I will return later." Max said, walking out of the room.
-Drakes hospital room, inside Drake's head-
I wish I could just go to sleep...
Why can't I sleep? This is so stupid.
I opened my eyes and looked around the room. Nothing like a erie hospital to keep you up at night i guess.
I sat up. I noticed I felt very thirsty. I leaned back and hit a button to contact one of the nurses.
"Yes?" Replied the nurse.
"Hi, I'm sorry but I'm really thirsty at the moment, do you think I could get some water?" I asked.
My throat hurt when I spoke and breathed through my mouth, I was just a bit more thirsty then I thought I was.
"No problem, I'll have someone come up with some water right away." The nurse said.
I waited for a few minutes, wondering if the water could come any faster. After it had been fifteen minutes (I was watching the clock), I decided to give them another ring just to make sure they didn't forget.
When I reached back a cold hand grabbed my wrist. I looked up and saw that it was Mike.
"Mike? How did you get in here?" I wondered.
"Window was unlocked." He smiled.
"The window? This is the second floor..." I said, with much confusion.
"He doesn't know?" Randy chuckled from the window. When I looked over at him I noticed that the window was wide open and rain was pouring in.
"Know what?" I gasped.
"Remember the red?" Mike asked.
"Yes..." I replied, feeling him tighten his grip with his icy cold hands.
"Well, turns out that wasn't just some liquid pot like we were thinking it was..." He began, "Turns out, after taking some of it we became stronger, and faster. We became abnormal."
"Abnormal?" I asked.
"Yes. See the grip that I have on your wrist right now? If I were to make it any tighter, then I would be able to break any "normal" humans wrist."
I was somewhat shocked, but somewhat happy to know why I survived the attack from Bane.
"I have taken Red two times now." Mike said, letting go of me.
"And?" I asked.
"I found that the more I take, the stronger I get." He smiled darkly.
"Um...that's nice?" I said, confused again. Why was he happy about this, wouldn't he want to be normal?
"Don't you want to be normal?" I repeated the words I had just spoke in my mind.
"Why? Look at us Drake! We are so much stronger now, well I am anyways. I am the only one of all of us to take two so far. We are starting a club, and I am the leader, your going to join too. Just letting you know."
Where did that come from?
"No way man, I'm going to let the doctors check me out and get me a cure." I said.
"That's what you think." Randy chuckled.
"That's what I know. Look, I'm not telling you guys not to go make your little "club" or whatever it is you guys are doing. Just leave me out ok?" I assured them.
"Look Drake, what Randy means is there is no going back. There isn't a cure for this." Mike said.
"You don't know that you haven't seen a doctor yet..." I said, throat hurting even more.
"We'll be back tomorrow, trust me you'll be here." Mike laughed, and Randy jumped out the window.
"What?" I asked Mike.
"You'll see." He smiled, and walked over to the window.
Mike climbed out the window and shut it.
The nurse came in right after that with a glass of water and a small needle.
"Hey, just need to do some blood work on you while your up." She said, putting the water on the table beside me.
"Thanks." I smiled, looking back at the window where Mike was hanging.
"Shhh." He mouthed with his index finger pressed against his lips, then smiled, and dropped.
That sent chills up my spine, but I kept my expression normal while the nurse took my blood.
"There." She smiled, and left the room.
"Thank god!" I said to myself.
I picked up the water and chugged it down, but it wasn't enough, I wanted more. I needed more.
So I stood up and went to the sink.
I kept drinking, I still didn't want to stop, not a bit. It was like no matter how much water I drank, it wouldn't quench my thirst.
"Crap." I groaned.
-1 hour later-
Ok. If I don't get to sleep soon I am gonna kill somebody. This is the most boring night of my life.
"Maybe I could call Tim and have him sing me to sleep..." I said to myself.
"Wow did I really just say that? There has to be some way...I know!" I thought.
I pressed the button to call one of the nurses again.
"Yes?" One of the nurses voice came from the small speaker beside the button.
"Yeah um...can I please have some sleeping pills? I just can't seem to get to sleep." I said in my sore-throat voice.
"I'll get somebody up right away with them." She said.
Thank god!
When the nurse finally came with my pills, and some more water to take them with, I quickly chugged it again with the pills.
When the nurse left I laid back down and tried to get back to sleep again.
I waited a full hour and still nothing.
"This is a nightmare..." I said out loud.
"Hey Drake." I heard from the other side of the room.
I quickly jumped up and looked for whoever was in the room with me.
"Who's there?" I asked, barely able to talk.
I saw a figure step out from the shadows, he had long black hair, and a small black mask over his eyes and some of his nose, his suit was red, with a big blue bird across his chest.
"I'm not here to harm you Drake." He said.
"Then why are you here?" I asked, starting to feel very weak.
"I just want to know the answer to a question I have that have for you." He said in a calm voice.
"Shoot." I replied.
"How did you take out Bane, and why were you with Batman?" He asked, his voice a bit more hostel now.
"Whats wrong with Batman?" I coughed.
"Batman doesn't belong here that's what. He is a thing of the past, and him coming back will anger the villains that were tame until he showed his little face around here." He said, and pointed at me. "You are also in my way kid. I didn't come here to harm you in any way but I just want you to get the same fair warning that I gave Batman: Leave the fighting to me and get off my turf. I don't care if you live here, but you will not stand in my way of serving true justice to this corrupt city."
He walked over to the window, and opened it up ready to jump.
"Who do you think you are?" I demanded, pointing at him. "You think you own the place? Is that it? Well guess what buddy, you don't, you are not king, and have no right telling me what to do. Now let ME tell YOU what's going to happen: You are gonna leave and never come back you little spandex-wearing-punk!!"
I pushed him into the wall, harder then I had meant to.
"Your making me mad you little brat." He said, kneeing my gut.
I dropped him, and stumbled back. Not so much because of the blow, but because I was starting to get very dizzy and weak.
"What's wrong kid? Not gonna be all Mr. Tough anymore?" He smiled and punched me in my nose, which actually hurt allot worse then when he kneed me. It sounded worse to. There was a loud cracking noise when his hand had contact with my face.
"Ahh! Jeez!" I almost yelled, because it was still hard to talk.
When I finally had enough strength, or anger, to hit I threw my fist at him, but the only thing it did was scrape his arm.
"Wow." He chuckled.
"Shut up." I sighed.
I took a deep breath, noticing something strange. There was some sort of sweet smell that filled that air that made my mouth begin to water.
I didn't know what it was, but it smelt good.
He pushed me back in the bed, and gripped my throat.
"You asked me who I thought I was right? Well let me tell you who I think I am: I am justice, I am punishment, I...am Nightwing." He let go of me and jumped out the window.
The first thing I did before anything else was lock that stupid window.
I sat down in one of the four red chairs in the room. I needed to find out what was going on, and what that smell was.
I tried to remember something, anything, that could have caused it, then it finally hit me. I was so stupid not to see it before after all of the old scary books I read as a kid.
I couldn't sleep, I couldn't seem to quench my thirst, I was super strong and fast...
"A vampire?" I wondered to myself.
"No...that's insane." I laughed. Then I had a quick flash of something run through my mind, when the smell filled the room, just before it did I cut Nightwings arm.
"Blood?" I thought.
-5 minutes later-
I found myself sneaking around the empty hallways looking for the room where they kept the blood samples from blood tests, I needed to open a sample, just to see if I could get that same smell. I refused to believe that I was a vampire, vampires were for fairy tales and scary story's! Not real life!
I paused to look at a small map of the hospital. The lab wing, which was were they took the blood, was just down the hall.
I started sprinting, and I realized that yes, I was fast, extremely fast.
When I had found the lab I hunted for blood samples. When I found them I opened one up fast.
I took a deep breath, and found the same sweet mouth-watering scent. Before I could react I started gulping it down.
It tasted sweet too, not like it should have, it felt good to have the warmness sooth my throat, and before I knew it the pain was gone.
I looked at the vial, then took ten others. I needed to get out of there, needed to get outside, needed help. I needed Tim, or Max, somebody who would listen to me, somebody that could help.
The only person that could do that was Tim. His father owned Wayne-Tech, and this very medical building, so hopefully he could do something.
I ran back to my room and found some of my clothes, I didn't realize what I was putting on until after I had changed. I looked in the mirror and notices I was wearing a black shirt with a huge red smiley face on it, not very fitting but it was better then the gown that I was in.
Next thing I did was grabbed my cell and dialed Tim's number.
-Tim's house-
I woke, startled by the phone ringing.
I quickly picked up, looking for my clock, but so tired that I actually forgot where it was.
"Hello?" I yawned.
"Tim, I need to see your dad." Drakes voice came from the other end.
"Drake? What time is it?" I asked, startled by the seriousness in his voice.
"It's 2:16. Listen, I REALLY need to see your dad." He said.
"Can't it wait Drake? And how are you calling me? Shouldn't you be trying to sleep?"
"Wait? No, no it can't... Tim I am going through some crazy crap right now and no I am not in my bed at the moment, I am not even at the hospital, I am walking to your house." He replied.
"Drake... my house is miles from the hospital." I yawned again.
"Then get your dad to come pick me up at the Starbucks on Western Ave." He demanded.
"Drake are you ok?" I asked.
"No Tim, no I'm not ok." Now Drake had no emotion at all in his voice.
"What's going on?" I wondered, worried now.
"Tim...I'm a monster. I just drank a vial of blood. I am a freaking vampire Tim. I'm losing my mind!"
After Drake said that I didn't feel like getting dad. My friend was in danger of losing his sanity by the looks of things, so I figures maybe I should just go, as Batman... Drake was a good friend and was really good with secrets, he wouldn't tell anybody, and it would make things easier if he knew. On top of that he is in trouble, and needs his friend.
"I'm on my way Drake, Just wait outside the Starbucks ok?" I said, running into the cave as fast as I could.
"Don't have a choice I guess..." Drake sighed.
"See you in a minute ok Drake?"
"Yeah." Drake replied, and hung up.
After throwing on the suit, I flew to the Starbucks. I landed outside, but there was no sign of Drake.
"Up here." He called, and I looked up to see him on the roof, he just looked at me like he was expecting me to be dressed like this.
"Uhhh...coming." I said, using my boots to jump up beside him.
"I know your probably thinking "Wow he knew I was Batman all along did he?", well no, no I didn't. I kind of am just going through so much that it doesn't really surprise me." He smiled, but not the big happy smile that the old Drake had, no, this was more like a smile to mask pain, and suffering.
"Drake..." I began,
"No." He said.
"No what?" I asked.
"I don't need help..." He sighed.
"You called me asking me to get my dad to help you." I said.
"Yes, but before you were here I chose to do something else and help everyone else." He looked at me, and from under his long wet hair his eyes were glowing red.
"Drake, what are you planning?" I asked, putting my hand on his shoulder.
"Come with me." He said, darting away with the speed of a race horse.
I flew beside him, he was actually going very fast. I could go faster of course, but he is much more faster then I am when I run.
"Up." He said, turning and darting up the side of the building.
I flew up to the top and waited for him their.
"So...what? You have spider powers now or something?" I asked.
"Now is not the time." Drake said, standing at the end of the building.
-Drake's point of view-
Well it is about time I guess...
"Tim." I began, shaking a small bit, not from the cold rain that is pouring on me, but because I now can say something to him that I have wanted to say for a long time.
"What?" Tim asked, stepping closer to me.
"I just wanted to tell you that you have always been like a brother to me, you know that already I'm sure, but I just want you to know that now I can really see it. Your father was like the father I always wanted. He loved you and cared for you, and was always there for you. My father left a long time ago and never came back to my family. I don't really even know him, and my mom is never home, always working, you know? So you and your dad and Alfred, well, you were all like a part of the family that I never had."
I looked back to make sure he was still listening, and he was, so I kept going.
"Well Tim it is finally time for me to die. It is better I go then so many others." I whispered.
"Drake? Whoa, wait, no Drake! You are not going to commit suicide ok? Just look at what your saying. This is insane. You haven't killed anybody yet!!" Tim tried to argue, but it was useless, I had made my decision.
"Tim, I am a monster. I may not have killed yet, but I soon will if I stay like this. So before you can try to stop me again, good bye brother." I turned back and jumped before Tim could say anything.
As I fell something went through my head from back when we were going over poems in English:
"I have a rendezvous with Death
At some disputed barricade,
When Spring comes back with rustling shade
And apple-blossoms fill the air-
I have a rendezvous with Death
When Spring brings back blue days and fair.
It may be he shall take my hand
And lead me into his dark land
And close my eyes and quench my breath-
It may be I shall pass him still.
I have a rendezvous with Death
On some scarred slope of battered hill,
When Spring comes round again this year
And the first meadow-flowers appear.
God knows 'twere better to be deep
Pillowed in silk and scented down,
Where love throbs out in blissful sleep,
Pulse nigh to pulse, and breath to breath,
Where hushed awakenings are dear...
But I've a rendezvous with Death
At midnight in some flaming town,
When Spring trips north again this year,
And I to my pledged word am true,
I shall not fail that rendezvous."
That was the poem, the one that
I thought of, just before I turned in mid-air to see Tim flying towards me, reaching out to catch me.
And then...I hit the ground...
And death came upon me...
***When Nightwing says "I am justice, I am punishment, I...am Nightwing." That is from the old 90's Batman show where Batman says "I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman."***

Chapter 13:
I stood by Drakes body.
That's all I did. I just stood there, looking down at the body.
I didn't speak, didn't cry, didn't do anything at all. This was the one time I have ever known what it was like to feel truly alone. He was like a brother to me too, and I just lost him.
A small group of people stared at me and Drake, what was left of him anyways.
Shock was hitting me hard, and I had no idea what I was doing.
One man from the group sprinted over to me, and tried to get close to Drakes body.
"I'm a doctor, trust me." He said, kneeling down.
He tried taking Drakes pulse, and frowned. He looked up at me.
"Nothing..." He said, ripping open Drakes shirt, and listening to his heart-beat.
"Still nothing." He said, starting to push on Drakes chest, trying to make him breath again.
I looked up and saw at the top of one of the buildings, in the distance, the dark silhouette of a person.
Nightwing.
"Keep trying!" I yelled, already flying off towards the figure.
When I was close enough see him clearly, he was gone. I landed on the building, looking for him.
I spotted him jumping from one building to another, and flew towards him at full speed, ready to tackle him.
When I reached him he had just gotten to the end of that building, ready to jump over another ally.
"No you don't!" I screamed, tackling him, throwing us both over to the other building at full speed.
We both landed next to each other with a loud thud. He was the first one to sit up, then a few seconds later I sat up beside him, holding my head.
"Ow." He said.
"Ugh, you said it." I groaned.
"What were you thinking kid?!" He growled, standing up.
I stood up too, and punched him.
"Hey! What was that for punk?" He yelled at me, slamming me into the ground.
He pinned me and stated to choke me.
I tried to tell him to get off, but his grip was to tight for me to make any sort of sound.
-Drake's body-
Now three people were trying to help Drake, there were paramedics on the way, and nobody really knew what to do.
They all looked at each other.
One man shook his head.
"Theres no chance anybody could have survived that fall, and even if they did they would have had every bone in their body broken from the impact." One women said.
One man looked back at the body, and his eyes almost popped out of his skull.
"Look! His finger!" The man said, pointing at Drake.
Drake's finger was twitching, and after a few seconds he opened his eyes, and began breathing again.
He looked at the people around him, shocked, and if he had not been in so much pain, he would have screamed. The pain was so strong that it was all he really knew was there, he couldn't see, hear, or speak.
-Tim's point of view-
I pushed Nightwing off and tried to catch my breath before he got back up.
When Nightwing stood, he shot two blades from the back of his gloves, and caught them. He lunged at me with the blades, but I jumped over him with the use of my boots.
"Your fast kid, I'll give you that." Nightwing said, swinging around with his arm out, cutting me across my right arm.
I grabbed my arm, The rain was pouring, and making the cut sting even more then it should be.
Nightwing grabbed me by my throat and held me up over the edge of the building. His two blades were put together in one hand, making a double sided blade.
"I should gut you right now." He said, putting the blade against my stomach.
A very wicked, dark smile grew across Nightwings face, and then, just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, a very bright light blinded me, and Nightwing.
Nightwing dropped me off the edge and I flew up again, and found a police chopper hovering over Nightwing.
"Put down your weapon!" A male voice boomed.
"Why don't you come down here and make me!?" Nightwing yelled back.
"Shut up before you get us both killed!" I said.
"Oh stop whining." Nightwing replied, and smiled.
Ropes were being thrown down the sides of the chopper, and SWAT was repelling down to the roof.
"Oh this is gonna be fun." Nightwing chuckled.
"Is your suit bullet-proof?" I asked.
"Bullet-proof? Ha! I don't need bullet-proof." He laughed.
"Hope you get shot..." I said under my breath.
I noticed that there were four guys in blue, and one in red. The red one was in the middle, while two of the blue ones were one one side of him, and the others were one the other side.
The SWAT team had guns aimed at Nightwing and I. I did the smart thing and put my hands over my head.
"You too." The one in red said, pointing at Nightwing.
"But you only did step one..." Nightwing said.
"What?" The red one asked, walking a few steps closer to Nightwing, un-armed.
"I told you to come down here and make me put down my blade right? Well here you are! I haven't put it down yet, and if I wasn't saying this right now all of you would be on the floor."
Just as Nightwing finished speaking, he jumped up into the air and tackled one of the men before they could fire, he picked up the man, and used him as a shield.
"Come on! Shoot!" Nightwing said, then threw the man into two others, and punching the last blue on in his face.
I stood, shocked. He called me fast? He just took out four highly-trained gun-wielding SWAT members in five seconds.
The red one picked up one of the guns and started firing at Nightwing, who jumped over the first bit of bullets, then rolled over beside the red one, who I was beginning to assume was the commander, and uppercut him.
The commander went flying off the edge of the building, and I quickly jumped after him, and flew under him to catch him.
When I flew back up, Nightwing was nowhere to be seen.
I put the commander down on his feet.
"Thanks." He said.
"No problem." I replied, looking around at the others, who were still a bit stunned after the attack.
"I thought you were on that guys side." He said.
"Me? No way, I was getting the crap beat outta me though before you guys showed up." I said.
"So was he the one who almost killed that kid down there?" One of the guys in blue asked me.
"Almost?" I asked, feeling a small spark of hope.
"Yeah. The kid's pretty lucky...but I wouldn't expect him to be up moving around for a while, if ever." Another said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"The kid fell pretty far from what I've heard." he said.
"Wait." The commander said.
A few moments later the commander looked at me.
"He's on his way to the hospital now." he said.
"Thanks." I said, and walked to the edge.
"Hey kid!" The commander called from behind me.
I turned to face him.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Just wanted to say thanks again for the help." He said.
"No problem." I said, shaking hands with him.
"The names Randy by the way. Commander Randy." He informed me.
"I'm sure you already know who I am." I said, jumping off the edge of the building, and flying after the ambulance.
I landed on top of the ambulance and looked around. We were going really fast, I wasn't sure if that was a good sign or not.
When we arrived at the hospital Drake was rushed out, and the paramedics literally ran the stretcher inside.
I looked over at the driver, and jumped down in front of him.
"Whoa! Where did you come from?" He asked, eyes almost popping out of his skull.
"That kid, whats happening to him?" I asked.
"I guess his heart stopped beating when we were almost here. They're trying to keep him alive." The man said, calming down.
I ran in the building to find him, I needed to make sure he stayed alive...
"Is there anything I can do to help?" I asked one of the doctors when I caught up with them.
"No, we can handle this." He said, pushing the stretcher into one of the rooms.
"Oh um...ok. Tell me how it goes...? I'll wait out here." I said, walking to the waiting room.
All five people looked up at me with strange looks on their faces when I walked in.
"Um...hi." I said awkwardly, walking over to the coffee machine.
"Oh right, left my cash in m other Bat-suit." I grumbled, realizing I had no pockets
I looked at the TV and sighed.
"It has been reported by several pedestrians that the boy is alive. That's right folks, some how, some way, a boy jumped from the top of Wayne Tower and survived." The news lady said.
"Wow, that's a long fall." One man said.
"Bet he'll feel that in the morning. Kid probably will just try to kill himself again though, like most kids who fail killing themselves the first time." Another man said.
"The kids name is Drake." I said.
"Does it matter?" he said.
"Yes it matters. He's a human just like you, does your name matter to you?" I demanded.
"Yes it... what are you getting at?" He asked.
"Shut up. You arn't worth the argument." I sighed, walking out of the waiting room to get away from the people, and TV.
"I told you I'm ok!!" I heard Drake scream.
I walked down to the room to see what was going on. When I reached the room I looked in and waved at Drake.
"Look, your heart isn't beating, and you have no pulse. I don't think that your as "ok" as you think you are." The doctor said.
Drake jumped off the stretcher.
"I'm out of here!" he said, running out.
I ran after him, but he was to fast.
Once we were out in the open I flew beside him.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"Home." He replied.
"Drake... listen, your not a monster. I don't care what you say, you are still my best friend, and I won't let you do something you'll regret ok? Don't worry."
"I don't know Tim..." He said, stopping outside the house. "You coming in?"
"Uh...sure I guess I can stay for a little bit, but not too long, it's way to late." I replied.
Drake opened the door and flipped on the lights.
"Looks like mom still isn't home." He sighed, "Still out drinking..."
"Well at least you have me to keep you company." I smiled.
"Yeah. You hungry?" He asked, walking towards the kitchen.
"I'm a little thirsty." I said, following him.
Drake walked into the kitchen and let out a loud scream. I looked in the kitchen and there, on the floor, was Drake's mom. Blood was spilt onto the carpet, and there was a large cut across her neck.
"Oh my...god..." I said, almost speechless.
Drake kneeled beside his mothers corps, and growled like a wild beast.
He picked up a small piece of paper. He threw it back, and when I looked at it I saw it said:
"Diners ready. You better be in or Tim's next.
See at school.
- Mike, Randy, Sara, and Gary."
"Drake...I am so sorry..." I said.
"Look, I know it isn't right to just leave her here like this, but we do have school, and we can sort this out tomorrow. I don't mean to sound like I don't care but we need sleep." I explained.
"You need sleep..." Drake said, standing, "But I get what your saying, and tomorrow we can confront the ones who did this, so we will deal with it there."
"Exactly." I said.
"Let's go to your place... we have to tell your father too, when the cops hear about this, we tell them that I spent the night at your place and just found the body." Drake said.
"Ok, you up for a long run?" I asked.
"How long exactly?" He wondered, facing me.
-1 hour later-
"I almost fell asleep while flying..." I yawned, falling into my bed.
"Just go to sleep, I'm just gonna go watch TV." Drake said in a mono-tone voice.
Drake slowly began walking out of the room.
"Hey Drake?" I called.
"Yeah?" He asked, turning back towards me.
"It's just... I don't know, I guess you are handling all this really well, this has to be the worst night of your life."
"Yeah, it is." he said, "But you have to remember that you and your father are very close, my mom never even wanted me. My mom was a loser, and her being dead makes no difference. It's sad, but true."
"I'll see you tomorrow Drake.." I said, not really wanting to keep the conversation going.

Chapter 14:
-Villains hide-out 5:42 AM-
Jonathan Crane, and Max both walked down into the old sewer system. They both had a cup of coffee, and Jonathan was holding a briefcase. Jonathan was wearing the same coat from the night of the breakout, and Max was in a grey hoodie, and black jeans.
"Croc hasn't eaten any body's face off yet has he Max?" Johnathan asked.
"No... I hope not..." Max replied.
"I was joking, I think Croc is more tame then that." Johnathan chuckled, opening the door.
Joker and Clayface were the only ones awake. They both looked up at Max, and John.
"Finally! The man with the plan!" Joker said, running over to Johnathan, "So what's next?? Breaking out the rest of Arkham? Killing a few cops?!"
"Umm...well, we are planning on breaking out Riddler and Killer-Moth soon, but other then that, no other prisoners will be broken out any time soon." Johnathan said, pulling out a chair, laying the case on the table, and sitting down.
"Oh, really? Not anybody? Hatter? Black Mask? Nobody besides those two fools?!"
"No. And Killer-Moth will be much more then a fool, I can assure you. You see, Killer-Moth will get a bit of an upgrade." John said, opening the case, and pulling out a yellow helmet.
The helmet would cover all of Moth's head, he could see out of two white lenses in the mask. The mask had a long sharp chin, and two antennas on the top.
Crane also pulled out a suit. The suit was purple and yellow, it fit the helmet.
"So... a fashion upgrade?" Joker wondered.
"No. This Batman can fly, which means, Moth will be able to as well." John said, pulling out two boots. The boots were yellow, yet they looked almost exactly like the boots that Tim wore when he dressed up. "Also, this fabric is very strong, it will protect Moth from anything as far as bullets go. He could take a shotgun to the chest, and get right back up if he needed to."
"I stole these boots, and the fabric from Wayne Industrys, they won't be missed." John chuckled.
Max walked over to one of the chairs and laid back.
"I can't believe I had to get up early for this..." Max sighed.
"What is Riddler's little "upgrade"?" Joker asked.
"Oh, sorry I don't have it on me," John said.
"What is it?" Joker asked, "Tell me!"
"I just updated his little cane with a few helpful tools." John replied, "Now back up before I hurt you."
"So when do we break them out?" Clayface asked.
"Well, maybe, right now." Max said, opening his eyes.
"Now?" Clayface laughed.
"Yeah, why not, we have the time, and school won't start for me for a little bit yet."
"Max, when we break them out the only one of us that really needs to be there is Clayface." John said.
"Why?" Max asked.
Everyone looked over at Clayface, who morphed into one of Arkham's guards.
"Is this why Crane?" Clayface asked.
"Yes. Are you up to going now?"
"Beats being down here, and besides, I get to beat up a few guards here and there." Clayface replied.
"Well then, by all means go get them. Here's a map of the sewer system, follow it and it will take you straight to Arkham. I don't care how you get them out, but make sure that it is just them ok? And if a guard sees you, feel free to deal with them however you would like, but don't let them follow you." Johnathan instructed.
Clayface looked over the map, rolled it up, and sucked it inside his hand. He changed back to his normal mud-like form, and started walking towards the door.
"I'm not done." Johnathan said.
Clayface turned to face him.
"When you get inside the building, look in the lunch room. Normally the only person who is eating breakfast there is a guard named Waldo Stewarts." Johnathan began, "If he is there, take him out and get his card. It is the only way to unlock the doors to Moth and Riddlers cell."
"Waldo?" Clayface laughed.
"Yes, now go." Johnathan said
Clayface nodded and walked out into the sewer area.
-Arkham Asylum 6:00 AM, Inside the kitchen-
"Ok, now to find Mr. Waldo." Clayface said to himself.
Clayface walked to the doors leading into the lunch room, when he peaked in he noticed that nobody was around, but there was a bagel laying on the table. He was back to looking like a guard so the cameras would not notice.
He walked into the room, and looked around.
"Where's Waldo?" Clayface chuckled, walking over to the bagel. He heard a door creaking open, and turned to see a guard, Waldo, throwing away a paper towel after walking out of the bathroom.
Clayface had an idea on how he could get the card without Waldo even seeing him...
Waldo walked over to his table and sat down. He was hungry, and ready for his twenty minute break.
He took a bite of his bagel, and a drink of water from his water bottle.
He looked at the bagel and threw it out.
"Cream cheese must be bad." Waldo said, with a disgusted face.
Waldo began to feel a little itchy, then started to feel very sick to his stomach. He felt almost like he was going to puke, so he ran to the bathroom again. Before he made it to one of the stalls, he looked in the mirror, and was shocked.
His eyes widened at his reflection. Slowly marks were forming on his body. They looked like stretch marks almost. They began growing to the point where they looked like they were going to break.
Waldo wanted to scream, but it was as if his voice box had quit working.
The pain in Waldo's stomach began to get worse, and finally a large brown spike burst out.
The brown spike melted into a mud-like substance, then formed into Clayface.
More slithered into the bathroom, and Clayface absorbed it.
"That will teach you to throw me away." Clayface said to the body, then completely covered the body in a cocoon-type form. When he was done, there was no body. Clayface had completely melted the evidence, but took the card. He morphed into Waldo and walked away to the patient cells.
Walking down the halls, a few people said "Hey Waldo!" and "Hows it going?!". Clayface found this quite funny. So funny that when he was finally alone, he actually laughed out loud, and the inmates were all probably staring at him like HE should be the one in the cells, but oh well, what did he care?
When he finally reached the cell for Killer moth he swiped the card and the door popped open.
"Moth?" Clayface whispered into the dark cell.
"Oh look, I found Waldo..." Moth chuckled.
Clayface sighed and morphed his face into his own, showing Moth who he really was.
"Ah, Clayface...I assume this is the break out?" Moth smiled in the dark corner of the cell.
"Yeah, yeah. Just put this on." Clayface grunted, throwing a bad, which held Moth's suit, in the cell.
Moth quickly threw the suit on, and walked out to meet Clayface, who was walking down the hall to get Riddler.
"Like the boots, very comfortable..." Moth smiled under his twisted helmet.
"That's all fine and dandy Moth, now hurry up and shoot the coming guards." Clayface commanded, throws a pistol at Moth.
"What guards?" Moth asked, before a gun went off behind him and a dart wizzed by his head.
"Thoughs ones." Clayface laughed, opening Riddlers cell.
"How did you know they were-" Moth wondered, before being alarmed by another gun.
Moth turned to face a group of three guards, who were standing down the long dark hall. He quickly aimed the pistol and fired at the one on the right, then the one on the left. He hit his first target, but the one on the left managed to get out with a scratch in his suit from where the bullet had almost made impact with his arm. The one in the middle shot at Moth again, screaming his fallen friends name, which Moth would have been laughing at if he was not under fire.
Another dart wizzed by Moth's head, and hit Clayface in the arm. Clayface simply looked down at the dart and laughed.
"What the hell?" Clayface chuckled. "They're trying to knock us out? Hey Moth, I want you to think the words 'Command list' for me please."
"Command list?" Moth asked, which triggered a small list in the eyes of his helmet, listing many deadly weapons, and defense items that were built in to his suit.
"Well...that's new..." Moth whispered, as Riddler stepped out of his cell wearing his new black suit, which had green question marks scattered across it. He also had a black piece that covered his eyes.
"Very new, now pick one." Clayface said, getting shot in the head, and falling over from the hit.
"Even I could have seen THAT one from a mile away!" Riddler laughed.
"Oh shut up." Clayface said, morphing into a standing position.
"Yes sir!" Riddler smiled, saluting Clayface as if he were some army general.
"Oh god, it's going to be like having two jokers! Two f***ing Jokers!" Clayface screamed, getting shot bye another dart that missed Moth.
Moth quickly searched the list, reading each item to himself quickly in his head. He found one the caught his eye, and looked back up at the guards.
"Shock?" He said out loud, and suddenly a big burst of electricity shot from his gloves, and took out the guards. Riddler started laughing at the two screaming guards on the floor, and Clayface started walking back to the exit.
When Clayface was only two feet from the exit, he heard a small beep and a huge metal door slided out from the ceiling, blocking the path. The same happened on the other side.
"Oh look, they upgraded...why the hell didn't they just use these when we broke out the first time?" Clayface wondered out loud.
Riddler cleared his throat. "Ahem, YOU broke out..."
"Yeah, why didn't Scarecrow just get us out the first time and save you the trouble of having to come back here?" Moth asked, looking back at the other sealed door.
Clayface morphed his hand into a giant spike ball, and looked over at the two. "Now is not the time, right now we worry about getting out alive, well...you worry about getting out alive, I think I can take a bullet if they pull out the big guns, and Moth you have bullet-proof armor, but Riddler, you have nothing at the moment."
Clayface quickly threw his spike hand at the door and tried pounding it open, when that didn't work he went over to the wall and looked up at a air vent.
"Wait here..." He said, morphing into a mud-like form, which crawled up the wall, into the vents.
***2 minutes later***
"That fool is taking forever!" Riddler yelled.
"Give him time, he knows what he's doing. The only thing we have to worry about is guards popping in." Moth said in a calm mono-toned voice.
"Easy for you to say, you have your bullet proof suit, and what do I have?? Nothing!" Riddler sighed.
There was a long moment of silence, and both the men were startled when the big metal doors slid open and they found Waldo standing in the shadows with his right hand in his pocket and a gun aimed right at them in the other. Waldo suddenly burst into laughter and started walking the other way, and morphed into Clayface.
"Whats so funny?" Moth asked, walking behind Clayface.
"Your face..." Clayface replied.
"Oh real mature smart-ass." Moth sighed.
Riddler followed quietly along, seeing Moth was really starting to get mad at the two, and after the way he took out the guards earlier, Riddler was just a little afraid of him. But only a little.
Finally they all made their way to the exit, but found that the door was sealed tight. Clayface morphed his hands into large spikes and pried open the doors himself, only to find a large group of cops outside, all hiding behind their squad cars. Some S.W.A.T. were repelling from two choppers, and a big armored truck pulled up with quite a bit of armored cops.
"Moth, you fly up and take out the choppers, Riddler, you take this and do what you can." Clayface commanded, giving Riddler a rifle that he had absorbed earlier.
"This thing can fly?" Moth asked, and just when he spoke the word fly, the boots fired up and he took off. He quickly learned how to use it, and took complete control. Meanwhile Clayface made his hands two giant fists, and started throwing the cars out of the way. The cars flew into some of the armored officers that had just arrived, and everyone opened fire. Riddler was just mowing down every cop he could see, and Moth was now inside the chopper.
"Hello." Moth said in a almost friendly voice to the pilot and co-pilot in the chopper...before throwing them out of course.
Moth quickly flew to the next chopper and hovered outside. The co-pilot of this one had a rifle, and was hanging out the side of the chopper shooting at Moth. The bullets almost hit him, but he dodged quite easily with a few aerial tricks.
"Spikes." Moth whispered, and long claws apeared on his gloves, and shot out at the chopper, killing the pilot.
Moth looked over at the other chopper, which was flying to the river to the side of the island.
"TK?" Moth wondered, seeing it on the list. Small spots on his gloves suddenly charged, and he realized he could now pick objects up with his hands at long range. He used it to bring the chopper down on the bridge that led to Arkham, then made the S.W.A.T. van slam into a few of the cops.
"Nice." Riddler said to himself, aiming the rifle at one of the srivivors from Moth and Clayface's assult, who had landed next to him on the stairs. His only response was a clicking noise.
"Empty." He sighed. "Well, we can make do, can't we?" He smiled, and swung the rifle in the cops face, smashing his nose and knocking out quite a bit of his teeth. He slammed the rifle into the cop again and again until he felt Moths hand on his shoulder, and snapped out of it.
"Riddler...did you have to do..." Moth tried to speak but was to busy trying to resist puking at the bloody, broken face of the cop Riddler was smashing to bits.
"Gentlemen..." Clayface said, waving for them to follow.
"Coming." Moth said, flying over to Clayface while Riddler ran across the bridge ahead of them, only to be blocked by the chopper.
Clayface and Moth walked up behind him slowly, looking at the twisted metal.
"Moth..." Clayface said, pointing at the wreck.
Moth quickly threw the chopper off the bridge with the flick of his wrist. Clayface smiled at the damage that they had done to the place.
"What now?" Riddler asked, noticing at least thirty police men aiming pistols, shotguns, and rifles at them.
"Allow me." Moth said, stepping in front of the two, and throwing his arms out to his sides, which caused each cop to go flying off the bridge screaming.
"They look just like rag dolls huh?" Riddler chuckled.
"Crane's gonna crap his pants out opf sheer joy when we show him the news tonight." Clayface laughed, starting to run across the bridge again.
-Villains hideout, moments before the assault outside of Arkham.-
"Dad..." Max began. "Where did you say you got Moth's suit?"
"Wayne Industrys, why?" Crane asked.
"...Oh my god...." Max whispered, and jumped up from his seat.
"What is it?" Two-Face asked.
"I know who Batman is!" Max said, wide-eyed.
-Gotham High School 7:15 AM Tim's point of view-
"Drake?" I asked, looking at Drake, who was starring at the sky.
"No sun." Drake said, looking back at Tim.
"Drake, what about these guys, the ones who killed your mom...are they alot like you?" I asked, looking around.
"No, ones way stronger then I am, faster too I think. But theres something I have to ask you now, about Max..." Drake replied.
"What's that?" I asked.
"So theres this new Scarecrow right? Max's dad used to be Scarecrow...could that mean that the new one is Max?" Drake wondered.
He brought up a good point. I doubted that Max was Scarecrow really, but in the back of my head I knew that Drake was making a very good point. Who else could it be? No, Max was my friend...I would know if that was the case...
"I don't think so..." I smiled. "Max is a friend Drake, not an enemy."
"I'm what?" I heard Max's voice ask from behind me.
"Nothing." I said.
"Hello Max..." Drake sighed, not looking away from the sky.
"Hey Drake what's up?" Max asked.
"Nothing much..." Drake said.
-2 hours into the school day, History class, third person-
"Drake..." Time whispered, trying to get Frakes attention.
"Huh...whats up?" Drake asked, looking up at Tim.
"Have you noticed something about Max? He's acting...weird." Tim said, looking over at Max, who was sitting across the room.
"Thats Max for you, is that all?" Drake asked, trying to find one of his papers.
"Yeah, yeah..." Tim said, going back to his work.
A few minutes passed and Max asked if he could go to the bathroom, he got a pass and left the room and in the bathroom walked over to the janitor, who was standing with his arms crossed against the wall with a bag, and his hat over his face.
"You ready?" Max asked.
"Not 'till you change boy." The janitor smirked, and handed him the bag, which held the Scarecrow suit.
-Back to Tim-
"Tim!" Drake whispered, but it sounded more like a hiss.
"What?" I asked.
"Do you hear that?" Drake asked, looking around the room.
"Hear what?" I asked in confusion, not hearing anything.
"Oh my god..." Drake whispered, looking at the vent.
"What is it?!" I demanded.
Drake quickly stood and screamed "Get down! Everybody get down, theres a bomb!"
"What?!" The teached yelled, standing up and walking over to Drake. He must have thought it was just some trick like bathroom wall writing.
"Up there!" Drake yelled, pointing at the vents while everyone stared.
"Damn it everyone GET THE HELL DOWN!" he screamed at the top of his lungs, and it came out more like a growl then a scream.
I was the only one who was more worried about the bomb then Drakes Mental state... in a way it was kind of funny, if you have a dark sense of humor.
Then I heard it. The beeping, it was getting louder. Not everyone was looking arounf the room for the source of the sound.
"Get down!" I screamed the same time as Drake.
Everyone got down under their desks, as fast as they could.
Drake and I both got down too, expecting some kind of huge explosion. The thing was, nothing happened. A minute of nothing but a loud annoying beep, and nothing happened.
Finally something happened. The door creaked open and Max stumbled in, his mouth duck-taped shut, and his hands were tied up, then behind him slowly followed Scarecrow. At first I was shocked, then I saw the detonator in his hand, and it suddenly all made sense...
"Does that answer your question?" I whispered to Drake.
"Not the time!" Drake whispered back.
Scarecrow looked around the room. Even though he was wearing that suit, I had the feeling he was some what pleased with himself.
"And here I was gonna say something like 'Get down or I'll kill the kid!' but no, you guys had to go and ruin it for me..." Scarecrow laughed. "Find the bomb? No? Good."
The teacher quickly jumped at Scarecrow, which was not a good idea when he had the bomb detonator.
Scarecrow quickly stepped ou of the way and flipped the little metal box open and pulled out the attena. He then pressed a red button on the box which made green gas pour into the room.
"Fear gas..." I whispered in panic, then looked at Drake. "Do not breath..."
Drake nodded, and I stood up, wanting to tell everyone to get out and hold their breath, but Scarecrow was right there, and if I did that it could easily blow my secret identity right out the door, so I looked at Scarecrow, quickly debating if I should attack or not.
I decided to run at Scarecrow, but he struck me down, laughing maniacally. He hit me hard, it knocked the wind out of me.
I stumbled out the door only to find that fear gas was all over the place, and I couldn't hold my breath any longer.
Before I knew it I found myself breathing, and a fiant moth-like creature stood over me, along with a big mud-monster, and the twsted face of Scarecrow.
"Got ya." Scarecrow laughed.
(Just an FYI: Clayface was the one who put the bombs in the vents. Just to keep from causing confusion...)

Chapter 15:
-Gotham High School, Tim's point of view-
This is bad...
No...not even bad, it's like...ten times worse then bad. There are no words to even explain how bad this is...
How do they know me? They can't know me... I'm just a kid that goes to school here, sure I'm rich, but that doesn't make me- Ah! Oh god...fight the freaking drug...this stuff is messing with my head so bad...
Are they dragging me? Where? Damn it Tim open your eyes! It's all an illusion...
This isn't happening...I bet I'm still in that restaurant with Scarecrow, it was all a dream right? I just haven't woken up yet... That explains whats happening with Drake, explains everything. This is still my first- Damn it...I gotta just hold myself together, I need to find a way out of this...
"Drake..." I whispered in a weak voice.
"What did he say?" One of the creatures, the Moth, asked.
"Hell if I know." Scarecrow said.
"It's just the gas getting to him." the mud-monster said in a low growl.
"Drake!" I tried to scream.
-Third person-
Drake could hear Tim calling his name. He quickly jumped up and started running to the door, but everybody suddenly started to attack him. They were all screaming different things, making one big loud noise that hurt Drake's ears. He fell to the ground holding his head from the sound.
"STOP IT!" He growled, pushing them all away, and standing again. He then continued to run out into the gas-filled halls of Gotham High School.
He spotted Clayface and Moth dragging Tim down the hall. They were being led by Scarecrow.
Drake looked in the class room for just about a fraction of a second to see Max, still tied up.
Drake sprinted down the hallway, and quickly jumped into the air and kicked Moth in his head, which did little because of the helmet. Moth fell over and hit a few lockers, but recovered quickly. Clayface swiped at Drakes legs, knocking him to the ground, and Moth quickly stomped on Drake's face.
Scarecrow was already outside with Tim, dragging him over to a old blue van, one that was stolen earlier before the strike on the High School.
Scarecrow quickly threw Tim in the van, and heard distant sirens.
"Oh crap...who the hell called the cops?!" He groaned, slamming the van's door, and began to run back to the building.
Inside, Drake was still on the floor, his nose bleeding, one of his front teeth knocked loose. His vision was fuzzy but he could make out Clayface and Moth, as they both had a very distinct look. Who couldn't recognize them?
Drake heard screaming, it was distant. There was allot of it too, it sounded almost like thousands of people screaming at once. The voices slowly became louder as his head cleared, then the screaming was so loud in Drake's ears, that his first reaction was simply holding his head again.
Scarecrow ran into the building with two small SMG's. He looked at the two, then down at Drake, and sighed.
"Cops are here, Clayface, use that other me as a distraction, and turn into a cop. Moth, you fly out the back, your going to cover us until we get away, then we will meet you back at home base. Make sure you lose them, go." Max commanded.
"Damn it..." Drake groaned, standing up, then screamed in a loud booming voice that went over the sounds of all of the screaming kids, "WHAT DID YOU DO WITH TIM?!!!"
"The kids still up?" Clayface growled, making one hand a giant spike, and the other a giant hammer.
"Clayface, ignore him. Just come on." Scarecrow said, walking outside.
Killer-Moth looked at Clayface, and then at Drake.
"I'll take care of the kid for you." Moth laughed, making two short wrist blades appear.
Clayface nodded, turned into the form of a cop, and followed behind Max. Max passed him a pistol, and they made their way to the side of the parking lot in which the van was located.
Moth quickly threw Drake into the ceiling, flew up, stabbed him in his gut with both of the blades, making Drake cry out in pain, then slammed him to the ground.
Moth then grabbed Drake by his face, and flew out the back doors with him. Amazingly, Drake did not breath the whole time, so he was not affected by the gas.
Drake's voice was muffled under Moth's hand, so Moth could not hear Drake crying out in pain.
Moth quickly flew straight up and threw Drake down the the ground below. Drake landed in the parking lot and rolled for a few seconds.
Drake's shirt was torn and he had cuts all over his arms. His nose was still bleeding, but his teeth were now back in place.
Drake let out a small groan before looking over to see the van as Scarecrow and Clayface were getting in. He then passed out. It was Drake's first sleep in days, if you could call it that.
-Van, Scarecrow driving, Clayface in passenger seat-
"Ok Clayface," Scarecrow began, "Where is the other half of you? The distraction?"
"Oh you'll see." Clayface chuckled, changing his form into a man in a black suit with red hair, which then changed to blond. His eyes were blue, and he had some crooked smile, the kind you see on the face of a maniac. This was his normal self, Basil Karlo.
-Armored S.W.A.T. van-
"Ok, we're only two streets way sir." A heavily blue-armored police man said, looking up at Commander Randy, who was sitting across from him in the van.
"Ok, everybody get your gas masks on now." The commander said, putting his on.
All the others put their masks on, all of them were in blue armor except for Commander Randy, who still was wearing his original red armor, and Commander Riece, who was wearing green armor. He had his gas-mask painted like a skull to stand out. Randy thought this was silly, but the others seem to be inspired by it. They looked to Randy for commands though, they wouldn't dare let somebody as phycho as Riece boss them around. When it came to a fire-fight, which happened allot in the streets of Gotham, Randy was always calm, in control, and Riece was...well, he was a trigger-happy-shotgun-wielding-kid-at-heart.
"So 'sir'...when we get in there and that gas is everywhere, and all these people are spazzing out...what the hell are we supposed to do? We have no ways of curing them, only the hospital does, and unless we can get some sort of large medical station, then we are f***ed." Riece said in that matter-of-fact voice that Randy thought was really annoying.
"We do what we can to stop the ones behind this." Randy said, the van stopping outside the school along with ten other police cars, and trucks.
They all got out of the cars and trucks, and went inside, except for Randy, who saw Drake laying on the ground.
He quickly ran over to Drake and checked his pulse.
"Crap..." Randy sighed, and Drake opened his eyes.
"Blue...van..." Drake whispered.
"Blue van...?" Randy said, looking up, seeing the van driving down the street with Scarecrow and Clayface.
He quickly ran back to the van, but instead decided to take one of the squad cars for the speed.
He was about to speed away when the door opened and Riece jumped in.
"Doughnut break already? Damn time flys..." Riece laughed under his skull mask.
"Shut the door!" Randy yelled at Riece, throwing off his mask.
Riece shut the door, and took his mask off too, revealing his young, tough guy face.
"So...see the game last night?" Riece asked, trying to start a conversation.
"There wasn't one, now shut the hell up." Randy spat, speeding up behind the van.
-Scarecrows van-
"Here it comes." Clayface smiled, and back at the school part of the parking lot in which the cops had stopped on was covered in large black spikes that slowly turned into the brown color that Clayface's material usually was.
The cars and trucks all blew up as the spikes shot threw them, making it look almost like a mini-nuke went off, at least that's what Clayface thought.
"You still hear sirens?" A voice came from behind the two.
Mr. Freeze and Joker were sitting in the back of the van, with Tim strapped to a chair with a bag over his head. They had him gagged so he couldn't make any noise.
Scarecrow listened for a second, then looked back at Joker and Freeze.
"Take care of them." Max said, looking back to the road before he crashed, and dodged a car.
"What the hell happened to Moth?" Clayface grunted.
"My moneys on something along the lines of him finding a nice pretty light to stare at. Giant bug zapper...that's a good idea for a torcher device..." Joker said.
"Oh just take out the cops. Your not funny." Clayface said.
"Fiiinnnee!" Joker whined, and Freeze opened the right door.
Joker quickly grabbed on to a handle, and swung half of his body outside with a pistol. He started shooting at the car as fast as he could. He was laughing so loud Scarecrow wanted to just cover his ears.
"I've got one shot left, I'm gonna save it." Joker said, swinging himself back in the van, letting Freeze get his turn.
Freeze looked at Joker, then at the door, and shot the street, making a large ice trail where the van went.
The cars behind them, including the squad car, began to spin out of control.
"We got them." Freeze said, closing the door.
"Good." Scarecrow laughed, looking back at the tied up Tim. There was a small hint of sadness in his voice, but for the most part you could tell he was happy to have finally caught the Batman.
Suddenly something hit the van, and Scarecrow looked up in shock to see Drake, who threw himself at the van, smashed into the windshield.
"Damn it! I can't see!" Scarecrow yelled.
"I'll take care of it." Clayface said, morphing into his puddle-like form, and moving to the back where Joker and Freeze were. He then morphed back into his normal form, and punched a hole in the top of the van, and climbed to the top.
"Hey kid." He said, pulling Drake up with his huge fist.
"I'm not gonna give up..." Drake said in a weak voice, and Clayface smiled at Drake, who looked even more broken then the last time they saw each other in the school.
"Keep telling yourself that." He laughed, then threw Drake, who grabbed on to the back of the van before he went to far.
Clayface kicked at him, and his leg stretched far enough to hit him, then stretched his leg back to it's normal size as Drake flew off.
Drake was flying back really fast, but instead of landing on the pavement he found himself on top of the squad car that Commander Randy, and Riece were in. They had gotten back into the chase, and were speeding towards the van.
Drake heard Riece yelling something at him, but couldn't make it out.
"What?" Drake asked, looking down at Riece.
"I said 'Do you know how to shoot'?!" Rice yelled, holding out his gun.
Drake took the gun and started sprinting, going just a bit faster then the car. He was using every little bit of energy he had left to help Tim.
"Who the hell is that kid?" Drake heard Randy ask Riece.
Drake leaped at the van, getting much closer, and shot at Clayface, who was about to go inside the van.
Clayface felt the bullets absorb into his skin, and quickly turned the upper half of his body to face Drake. Clayface made his huge hand mold around Drake's body, and pulled him up so that they were both face to face with each other.
"Why do you keep following us kid? It's a lost cause, we've won." Clayace asked, in a confused growl.
"Because that is the one person I consider my brother, and you arn't going to kill him." Drake growled back.
"Foolish boy...you can not defeat me." Clayface laughed, and started to slam Drake into the cars as the van passed them.
Joker climbed up to help Clayface. Clayface looked at Joker for a second, then went back to his fun.
"I'm bored already...when do I get my turn?" Joker asked.
"Now." Clayface said, dropping Drake next to Joker.
Drake fell to his hands and knees in pain, and tried to get up when he felt Jokers pistol press against his head.
"One bullet..." Joker said, pulling the trigger and sending the lead bullet into Drake's head.
Joker's pistol was specially made, it was made to kill something as strong as Croc in one shot, if it were in the head that is.
Drake screamed as the bullet shattered the back of his skull, and plunged into the center of his brain. Then he fell, and slid off the van slowly.
-Commander Randy's Squad car-
"Oh my god..." Riece whispered, finally getting serious.
"This is bad." Randy said, speeding up. They were now in a more open area with less traffic.
"Want me to call in the rest of the squad?" Riece asked.
"Get a chopper, the last thing we need is another car, I'm worried as it is." Randy said, fear in his eyes.
"Why? We're safe in here." Riece asked, looking at a large crack in the windshield.
"You saw the news, you know exactly what this monster did to an army of us. We're just two men..." Randy sighed, then was startled at the sound of other sirens. He looked out the rear-view mirror to see another squad car racing behind them, going almost twice as fast as they were.
"I brought a radio, hang on, let me see if I can contact them." Riece said, pulling out a small hand-held device that was somewhat like a cell phone, but it was always on speaker, and it was easier to call the other teams on it. On the side it said "Wayne Tech" in white letters.
"Now we see if they pick up a signal." Riece said, looking back up to see Clayface looking back at them both with a evil smile.
"He's going to attack..." Randy said, moving the car to the other side of the road just as Clayface threw a hammer-fist at them.
"Commander, is that you?" A voice asked, it was coming from the small radio.
"This is commander Riece, Commander Randy is busy at the moment, who is this?" Riece asked.
"This is officer Campbell, and officer Keller." The voice replied.
"Ok, Officer Campbell, I would like you to call in a chopper for us ASAP, we need air support for when this turns into a fight, which I know it will." Riece commanded.
"Yes sir." The voice replied, and then both of the squad cars were side by side with each other. They both were getting closer to the van, much closer.
"I've got a really bad feeling about this..." Randy whispered.
"You and me both." Riece replied, pulling out his side-arm.
Suddenly doors on the back of the van burst open revealing Mr. Freeze, who had his gun aimed right at the squad car that Riece and Randy were in.
Freeze froze the front wheels of the car and they stopped moving, making the car completely flip, and land upside down in front of the other squad car, which rammed the two commanders, not stopping in time.
-Tim's head-
They know you now, they got you.
Do something, your Batman, break free, this is nothing.
Break free...
Do it...
Let loose...
These were the words going threw my head as I sat there, helpless and weak.
I decided it wouldn't hurt to try, and actually broke free in a snap. Nobody noticed.
I ripped the bag off my head, and jumped back at the huge ice-monster that was in front of me.
The gas, I had almost forgotten I was still under it's affects.
So that must be Mr. Freeze...
He turned to face me, his eyes were literally smoking, like red smoke was pouring out of them.
"Um...it appears we might have a slight problem." Freeze said, aiming his gun at me, and I rolled in his direction, then jumped up and punched his chest hard as I could.
It actually hurt, not to bad, but it still hurt. And his skin was like ice cold.
Freeze just stood when I hit him, he didn't move a inch. He just looked at me...then finally he back-handed me, and I hit the side of the van. I hit it hard...
I felt Freeze's Icey hands pull me up and slam me into the side of the van again. I let out a small scream, and tried to kick him off, but it was no use.
"Sit down boy, your being foolish." Freeze said, letting me go.
"I'm getting out of here." I said, running past him, and jumping out the back.
I thought I was home free, I thought I was out of this mess...I thought I could get away.
Could I...?
I did a quick roll when I hit the ground to avoid breaking my legs. When I realized they were turning around I started sprinting to a ally near by.
Everything was shaking, shaking like a earth quake. It was just the gas though, nothing was really happening.
When I was at the ally, I found myself slamming into a brick wall and falling back.
There was no ally, I was seeing things.
I looked around and quickly dashed towards another ally, this time it was real. Finally.
I kept running. I didn't care how far I had to go to get away, I just ran. I ran through the maze of brick walls until I came to an opening, then sprinted across the empty street to get to another ally, only to be frightened by car horns as cars appeared out of nowhere.
I stood in shock as one came right at me, my vision started to go blurry, and I suddenly felt something ice cold tackle me out of the way.
Freeze? No, smaller. Tall, but wasn't as bulky...
My vision came back and Drake was laying next to me on the side walk. He had blood all over his shirt, and jeans. His face had alot of blood splattered on it too.
"Drake...? God, did you kill somebody?" I asked.
"No time to explane. Just run." Drake said, looking back as the van sped around the corner towards us.
I nodded and started to sprint again, pushing through all the staring people. I heard Drake mutter something under his breath when I ran, something about pain?
I looked back to see Drake step in front of the van and hold out his arms like he was going to try to stop it. Sure, when he had the energy a few nights ago he ripped a car to pieces, but still.
"Drake don't!" I screamed, but it was to late, the van hit Drake with full force, enough to make any normal person get torn to pieces.
I slowly backed up into the ally. I wasn't going to let Drake's efforts go to waste. He gave me time, and that was all I needed right now: time...
"So...Tim Wayne...your the Batman, 'The Dark Knight'." I voice snickered from behind me.
I turned around to find a twisted looking Scarecrow. His zipper was moving when he talked, like a normal mouth. His eyes were black and red, like that of a demon. He was holding a pistol, which was pointing right at my heart.
I thought for a second, and backed away. I decided that trying to lie wouldn't hurt. It was all I had left.
"I have no idea what your talking about...I'm just a kid! I don't even know you!" I said, trying to put on a good act.
"Oh, but I know you...yes, I know all about you Tim. Your a fifteen year old who is trying to be Batman, because your father was a FAILURE!" He laughed, the word failure echoing in a demonic voice.
I wanted to hit him...no, I wanted to kill him. My father was a hero. How dare he say that?
"Now your either going to come with me, or I will shoot you right here." Scarecrow said, his voice becomming even more demonic.
"Bring it on." I said, grabbing his gun and twisting it out of his hand. I pointed it at him instead, and he laughed.
"Batman doesn't kill...come on, shoot me. Ruin all that Batman is." Scarecrow laughed.
"What if your wrong, what if I'm just a kid who is trying to get away from the kidnappers? What if I am so desperate that I would shoot you right here?" I asked, moving the gun down to aim at his chest.
"Well, then you would have run by now, run back to daddy. You would have shot me." Scarecrow laughed again, and pulled out another pistol. It came from his boot. This was just like the night in the house, the night we met...the night he shot that innocent man, the night he should have been arrested, but I let him get away...
It was also very different...
This was going to end with one of us getting shot. This suddenly turned into a duel. Me and him, we both had guns.
"Put it down, or I blow out your brains." Scarecrow demanded.
"No." I said, and shot him in the foot. It was strange, he had a second to shoot me, why didn't he take it?
Scarecrow screamed and fell back.
"It's done..." I said, putting the gun down. I turned around to go to Drake, but instead I was frightened by the monster from the school, the Moth...
"Going somewhere?" He asked, and pushed me back, making me fly into a brick wall.
Everything went black...the last thing I heard was a low chuckle...not the Moth, but Scarecrow. Scarecrow was laughing... He had me...it was over.
Mini Chapter- Dark Stranger:
Many things are going on at once.
I'm on top of a building, looking down into the streets of Gotham...
Filthy, litered with other peoples trash, covered in their spit. How unsanitary...
I look at all of the comotion to see five things, all of which happen at the same time:
One: A man is talking on his cell phone, judging by the look on his face, I have reason to believe that it is his sexual partner. He does not look happy, the man throws his phone, people stare...
Two: A boy gets hit by a van, more people stare... The boy is alive, though I do not hear any heart beat, and there is no sense of life from his body, must study this later...
Three: Another boy is backing into a long ally, only to run into a strange masked figure, I believe this could be the Scarecrow, but I am not entirly sure, as I have not seen him myself, only going by description...
Four: A armored man apears behind the boy, he throws him into a wall.
Five: The boy is taken away by the armored man, and the one the I believe to be Scarecrow stands after being shot.
Hm...I assume this boy is Batman, and the one who jumped in front of the van is his friend who tried to do something along the lines of sacrafice in order to save him.
Oh that must be Batman...I can see his death... You would think I would be used to such nightmares, but no...each death I see is different.
I see the boy dressed as Batman, but he is missing his mask. He is in a battle, his allys are the boy who was hit by the van, and the Scarecrow.
He is fighting none other then Moros...my brother...
"So it is time." I whisper to myself. "Time for death..."

Chapter 16:
-Drake's point of view-
So that's...what? The fifteenth time I have died today? Ow...I think I hurt my arm pretty bad. Ok, wait no, that's a break...
Just snap it in like so... ow for all that is good and holy that hurt like hell! Man, I am so tired of getting hit by cars today.
My thoughts didn't even make much sense to me, it was like listening to somebody talk to you while your under water.
"That...sucked." I groaned.
I felt some body poke my shoulder, trying to get my attention. I turned to meet the gaze of a tall hooded man. He had a very long black robe, and he had a mask that resembled a skull.
"I didn't think Halloween was here for another week..." I laughed, and he held out his hand to help me up.
I groaned when he helped me, because I must have hurt my back... more like everything. My whole body hurt.
"I feel like I just got hit by a truck..." I said, looking at the arm I snapped back in place.
"You did get hit by a truck." The man said, pushing through the crowd of people that were gathering around me.
"Wait, where are you going?" I asked, following him.
"To get your friend, you did not forget did you?"
"Oh...is he ok?" I asked.
"Oh, he's fine for now. I saw where they took him."
"And you didn't help him?!" I asked, feeling my throat start to hurt again. All the blood viles were smashed the night I jumped from the building, meaning I would need more.
"I didn't need to help him, I decided he could last a little longer." He said, walking down the street. Nobody really looked at him because it was so close to Halloween, they must have thought he was dressed up like that to mascot for a costume store around here.
"You coming?" He asked, turning to face me.
"Yeah..." I said, following. I felt pretty weird following him though, after all, he looked like some evil clown from the beyond. At least, that's what I called him in my head.
"So, what's your name?" I asked, starting to fall behind him.
"Keep up and I will tell you boy." He laughed, walking faster.
I smirked and ran up behind him full speed. It only took me a few seconds to catch up with him. Just when I was about to pass him he had me by my throat.
"Boy...I'm the one who knows where he is. Don't get to far ahead of me, cuz I ain't gonna go looking for you. I ain't your baby sitter, and besides, I'm much faster then even you, as you can clearly see." He said, letting go.
"Ow..." I groaned. "Man, my head is still spinning from the whole thing with the van..."
Suddenly he turned and I felt his hand flash across my face, and a loud "smack" echoed. People stared for a second, and I sort of stumbled back from the hit.
"Did that help?" He laughed.
"Ow."
His laugh was getting annoying. It was like a dark, evil laugh, like one I would hear from somebody like Mike...
"Gonna tell me your name yet?" I asked when we started to walk again.
"Well I have been called allot of things, 'Crazy cloak dude', 'Skeleton man', but I prefer to be called 'Death'. It suits me."
"I don't think that a good guy would want to be called that." I said looking at him with a weirded-out expression.
"For all you know I'm not the good guy, your simply assuming that I like to help people, but maybe I am more of a guy who likes to go on random killing sprees. Never assume, never guess, only know. That is what I go by." He said, sounding angry.
"Craaazzzzyyy...." I said under my breath.
"Your the one that jumped in front of a van Dracula." He chuckled.
"What did you call me?" I asked, starting to feel mad. I wasn't just mad at him either, I was mad at everyone. I didn't know why either, there was no reason.
Suddenly, by reflex, I caught something in my hand. Something small that he threw at me.
"Drink up." He said, pointing at a wear-house. "That is where your friend is. I suggest bringing a gun."
I looked at what he threw at me. A small vile...
"How did you know...?" I asked, looking up at him.
He was already gone, on top of the wear-house, looking in one of the sky-lights.
"This dude is nuts..." I sighed, opening the vile and pouring the blood down my throat.
I slowly walked over to the wear-house and climbed up the side to meet him.
I still wasn't sure about these powers. They were strange. How could some drug let me walk up walls?
"There." He whispered, pointing in the building.
I looked through the window and saw Tim, tied, and gagged.
"We have to get in there." I said, thinking about just breaking the window and jumping in.
"That is the fools way of doing things." Death said, pulling out a small black cylinder.
"What the heck is that?" I asked. "A grenade?"
"Better." He laughed, hitting a small button on the side, suddenly making it a large staff.
"Whoa." I said in amazement. I actually thought it was pretty cool, but then again, I was a dork.
"Made it myself." He smiled. Though I couldn't see his face I could tell he was smiling. His tone gave it away.
"So we doing this?" He asked, looking back in.
"Wait, we're gonna be out-numbered." I said, reaching in my pocket and pulling out my cell-phone.
"Wait, you are so not calling in back-up are you boy?" Death asked.
"Actually yes I am. Look at all of them." I said, pointing in.
"Let's see...Two-face, Joker, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Killer-Moth, Killer Croc, and it looks like they even got henchmen, oh and is that Victor Zsasz I see? Come on, it's only fair we stay as we are, it's bad for them as it is." Death said. I could still sense that smile in his voice.
"Dude, quick question..." I said, starting to dial Bruce's number. "Are you...oh I don't know...F***ing INSANE?!"
-Bruce Wayne's point of view-
I stood in the cave, staring at my old suit. I did this for about a half hour every day...just looked at it, caught up in a trance, remembering the old days.
I heard my cell ring, but I didn't want to answer it. It was like watching a movie when I remembered some of the things I did as Batman, I just didn't want to stop watching.
Finally, after the fourth ring, (or was it the fifth?), I picked up.
"Hello?" I asked, walking over to Robin's suit.
"Bruce! It's Drake." Drake said.
"Oh, hello Drake, shouldn't you be in school?" I asked, looking at the clock.
"Turn on the news." He said, and I walked over to the computer and set it to put on Gotham News.
The words "Scarecrow strikes Gotham High School" ran across the top of the screen.
"Oh my god...Drake what happened?" I asked, looking at a huge pile of squad cars that looked like they were just thrown to the side like little match-box cars.
"A big group of villains attacked the school...listen, Bruce, they took Tim. They know..." Drake explained, and suddenly shock ran through my body.
"They...took him?" I repeated, looking back at my suit.
"Yeah, as in, they have him held hostage." Drake said. "Look, Bruce, if you can get anybody down here...Gordon, anybody who can help, we might need it."
"Tell me where you are." I said, walking over to my suit.
-Commander Randy's squad car-
"Ugh...R-Riece? You ok?" The commander whispered. He had the wind knocked out of him.
"Randy..." Riece replied. They were upside down in the squad car, the blood was rushing to their heads. They could hear fire-fighter who had arrived at the scene after a 911 call. The fire-fighters were trying to get one of the doors open to pull out Riece. Little did they know that he was impaled by a metal pole. It used to be a stop sign, but when the car was flipped it hit the sign, causing it to plunge into the wind-shield and straight into Riece's shoulder.
"Damn this hurts..." Riece groaned, unable to look down to see what had happened. "Randy, look at me for a sec, I need to know what's stuck on my chest..."
Randy looked over and sat in shock at the long metal pole that was sticking through Riece. It went all the way through the seat.
"Oh my god Riece...there's not something stuck ON you, there's something stuck in YOU." Randy said, fear creeping back into his eyes.
-Drake's point of view-
So here we were...waiting. Waiting for Bruce to get here, waiting to save Tim's ass.
Waiting makes me think...it makes me remember things, things I try so hard to keep out of my mind.
It's so quiet here...it's so dark and cloudy. So...depressing.
My mother was murdered just last night. I don't feel pain though. I don't feel hurt...no sadness.
I don't care if shes gone. Maybe I'll get an even better family once the cops catch up with me and ask me why I didn't alert them. Blah blah blah...
My hands are starting to shake, but I don't know why. My eyes are starting to water...
"You ok?" Death asked, but I didn't respond.
I just felt like crying. I wasn't even sad...I just wanted to cry. I wanted to let out all of the feelings that were kept inside of me.
I wondered for a moment if Mike was even in school today, if he was in part of the attack. I hoped he was...I hoped that his whole little group was. When this was over, I was going to hunt them down, and I was going to make them pay for what they have done to me.
I didn't even notice the grey and black figure walking up to me. When I finally snapped out of it I was faced to face with a very tall, very muscular, Batman.
"Jeeze!" I yelled, jumping back.
"How you do Mr. Bats?" Death asked in a cocky tone.
Bruce ignored him and walked over to the door.
"Which one of you is the fastest?" Bruce asked, pulling out what appeared to be a small metal bat. He placed it on the door and pressed a few buttons on the front.
"I am." Death said, pulling out his staff again.
"Alright. As soon as this thing explodes, your job is to charge in and get Tim out. Drake, you run to the left, I will go to the right. Distract them long enough for him to get Tim out."
"Sure thing." Death said, stepping back.
I nodded, and the door blew open.
-Tim's point of view-
I finally lost my connection to reality. I'm no longer sitting in a chair, surrounded by villains. Now I'm in a corn field... a giant maze.
It seems almost exactly like one of thoughs haunted corn fields you can go to around this time of the month. I feel like some monster is going to leap out of the corn with a chainsaw any second.
I kept walking through the maze of tall corn. I didn't really expect anything to happen. It was very quiet, it was very un-nerving... I just wanted to find my way out and get back to reality.
I walked across a old wooden bridge, and my vision started to go out again. I stopped dead in my tracks and waited for my eyes to stop acting up.
When my vision came back I saw Scarecrow standing in front of me. I opened my mouth to say something like "Where did you come from?", but there was still no sound.
Scarecrow just stood there. We stared at each other for what felt like hours.
Finally, I decided to attack him. I threw a fist at him, and my hand went right through him. When my hand swiped through his chest, his body disappeared in a foggy smoke.
I kept walking, wondering if he was going to pop up again. I kept telling myself in my head that it was all just an illusion, I was really still strapped in that chair.
I turned around, trying to make sure nobody was following me. There was nothing but corn.
Suddenly the wind began to howl, breaking the dead silence. I jumped at the sound, but kept going.
"Failure." Echoing voices whispered in my ear.
"Your a failure." They repeated, and with each step I took it seemed like the voices were getting louder.
"Who are you?!" I yelled, my voice finally coming out.
Suddenly a man appeared in front of me. He was about six feet tall, he had tall, silver, spiked hair. His eyes were completely white. He smirked at me and chuckled.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"For now, I am your savior." He said, losing the smile.
"Um... excuse me?" I asked, cocking my head to the side.
"If you want to find the way out, come with me. This is not your time...not yet. You have been under the effects of the drug for to long." He said, walking through the corn.
I stood there for a second, not quite sure what I should do. I found myself move somehow though, even though I didn't really know this guy. I followed him though the corn, and we crossed a small river. This place was so creepy...
Finally we came to an opening, and there was a large black hole.
"You go through that, you get back to reality." He said, pointing at the giant hole.
"Wait, who are you?" I asked.
"I think you'll find that out on your own kid, now go, before I throw you back." He commanded, and before I could do anything on my own I jumped in without even thinking.
Everything was black and all sound had gone again.
It took me a few moments to realize that my eyes were just closed. I opened them and suddenly all sound came pouring back.
There were sirens, gun shots, people screaming all sorts of different things.
What the hell did I just come back to?
I noticed a man in a skull mask and a black hood. He was pounding on my heart.
"Oh thank god...are you ok?!" He shouted, trying to be heard over the chaos.
"What's going on?!" I asked.
"A f***ing war, that's what." He said, then pulled out what appeared to be a shot and stabbed it into my heart.
I screamed from the pain, but then suddenly my head cleared and my vision seemed like is was better then ever before.
He just hit me with the cure. I could finally think straight.
He suddenly disappeared, and I looked over to see the inside of a wear house which he was now in. He jump-kicked Scarecrow, who quickly did a back-flip from the blast.
-third person-
Bruce was beating a group of thugs to a pulp. He started by throwing a batarang, which hit one of the thug's rifles, causing it to fly from the thugs hands.
The others had long, lead pipes, which they used to start swinging at Bruce with.
Bruce quickly jumped out of the way, causing two idiot-thugs to smack each other in the face with their pipes.
There were three left, including the one who had just picked his gun back up.
The gunner fired at Bruce, who quickly jumped over the thug, and kneed him in the spine.
Two left.
They both charged at Bruce. Bruce quickly threw a fist in one's face, thus, breaking his nose.
The other one let out what sounded like a loud war-cry, and swung at Bruce as hard as he could.
Bruce grabbed the pipe, and kneed the man in between his legs. The man cried, out, and Bruce delivered a finishing blow to him.
Drake was trying to break free from Croc's bone-crushing grip. Croc had both his hands wrapped around Drake's body and kept tightening his grip.
Death looked around, then quickly rolled out of the way of a knife that Zsasz threw at him.
Two-Face and Mr. Freeze both were shooting at Bruce. Bruce quickly grappled out of the way, and swung down behind them.
Two-Face turned around only to get punched in the good half of his face.
From across the room there was a loud laugh, one that made even Bruce shudder.
Joker stood with a shotgun, a huge smile on his face, revealing his yellow teeth.
"Hey Bats! How's the boy wonder? Oh...right." Joker chuckled, and shot at Bruce.
Bruce quickly dodged the shot, and tackled Joker to the ground. He took the gun and threw it to Death.
Joker kicked Bruce off and jumped on top of him. Joker threw fists at Bruce so fast that Bruce was caught off-guard.
Joker finished by picking up the knife that was thrown by Zsasz. He slashed Bruce's chest, and his right arm.
Bruce grunted, and held a batarang up, blocking the knife.
"Clever Bats." Joker said, punching Bruce again.
Bruce quickly kicked Joker, then punched him so hard that he flew off.
"Hey, the kid's safe, let's get out of here!" Death called across the room.
Drake broke out of Croc's grip, and ran for the exit with Death. Bruce followed quickly.
The small group ran to an ally with Tim, and Bruce opened a small compartment on his glove. He quickly typed in something on what appeared to be a small keyboard.
The Bat-wing quickly flew overhead and hovered above them. A small hatch opened on the bottom, and a box fell out.
Bruce caught the box and handed it to Tim. Tim opened it and realized it was a suit. Not his original one, this ones mask was completely covered, his mouth no longer showed.
"Suit upgrade?" Tim asked, looking at the mask.
"Gas mask, you'll need it if your going back to the school to help." Bruce said, and Tim quickly put on the suit.
-15 minutes later, Villains hideout-
"Well THAT wasa complete DISASTER!" Riddler yelled, falling back into a chair.
Max ripped off his mask and threw it to the ground. He looked at Riddler and smiled.
"It's not over, this proves that Batman is, in fact, Tim Wayne. Now alls that we need to do is attack him when he isn't with his little super-powered friend."
Meanwhile, Clayface and Freeze were arguing across the room.
"We were under attack and you just stood there!" Mr. Freeze yelled.
"Hey, I did not just stand their, people were getting in my way. Besides, I made a deal with Croc...I promised to leave him some meat, which I did." Clayface argued.
"Would you both just shut up?!" Two-Face yelled at them both.
"You shut up!" Both Clayface and Freeze said at the exact same time.
Suddenly Clayface turned his hands into large spikes and swung at Freeze. Freeze quickly aimed his gun at Clayface and froze him in his tracks.
"Freeze!" Max yelled.
"He needed to calm down." Freeze said, walking out of the room.
Zsasz suddenly threw one of his daggers at the frozen Clayface, which shattered him into little icy pieces.
"Zsasz!!" Max screamed, looking at the remains of what used to be Clayface. "Why did you do that?!"
Zsasz just chuckled to himself, and slowly carved another mark in his body.
"What was the point in all of that?" Johnathan Crane asked, entering the room.
"It was Freeze's fault, he froze Clayface." Zsasz said.
"So you shatter him?!" Croc growled.
"I couldn't help myself..." Zsasz said, picking up the other dagger.
"Great...just great." Max said.
"Not like we need him." Joker said after a long silent moment.
"The clown's right. If we know who the bat is, why are we even worried about Clayface?" Croc asked.
Max ignored them and walked out of the room.
"Where are you going?" Two-Face asked.
"I have to get back to the school, make it look like I was in the attack..." Max said.
Max walked until he was finally to the exit. He opened a hatch and climbed out into a ally.
"Just you wait Tim..." Max whispered. "I can kill you before you even know I did it."

Chapter 17:
-Outside Gotham High School, Tim's point of view-
I looked around at all of the chaos. There were police, medical, and even firefighters everywhere.
People were being hauled out on stretchers, all of the doctors and police were wearing gas-masks.
There were mini medical stations all over the parking lot, and people were getting shots to fight the fear toxin.
I just stood there, perched on top of a small building with Drake. I was speechless. Hundreds of people were under the effects, hundreds of people were seeing their worst nightmares come to life.
"This is bad..." Drake whispered.
"Very bad." I replied.
"I- I need to go down there..." Drake said. "I need to find somebody."
"Who?" I asked, looking up at him.
"One of my err...friends."
"Ok, I guess I better get down there too, looks like they are gonna need all the help they can get." I sighed, and fired up my boots.
I quickly jumped and flew over to the parking lot. I landed right in the middle of all of the chaos.
I could feel all the eyes on me. It sent chills down my spine.
"Batman! Oh, thank god your here, you can help us get some of the kids out of the building." One of the doctors said.
"That's why I'm here." I said through my gas-mask, nodding at the doctor.
I noticed that it wasn't just GPD either, Arkham staff were on the site as well, even some normal citizens appeared to be helping.
I looked around a little more and saw a familiar face.
"Gordon." I said, walking over to him.
"Huh? Oh, it's you." Gordon said, turning to face me.
"Gordon, how many people have you pulled out so far?" I asked.
"One hundred at least. We aren't making very good progress I know that for sure. We had guards from Arkham stand by the doors to make sure nobody runs out in fear. We can't lose track of these kids."
"Theres over five hundred at least." I sighed.
"Yeah. This is gonna be one long night..." Gordon said, then whispered in a low voice, "How's your dad?"
"He's good." I said. "I better get in there huh?"
"Yeah, good luck." Gordon said.
I walked towards the building slowly. I felt like I was walking straight into hell. I was really creeped out when a couple of nurses pulled out a stretcher with some bloodied up kid who was violently thrashing around under the straps.
"My god, is he ok?" I asked, seeing the blood on his face.
"He's fine, it's the other kid that he hurt that isn't." The nurse said quickly.
So...that wasn't even his blood...it was some other kids.
I tried to force the image of that kid out of my head, and ran in.
-Gotham alleyway-
"Maxwell..." Moth said, catching up with Max.
Max turned to face Moth.
"Yes?" Max asked.
"Is it time for plan B?" Moth asked.
"Yes Moth, it's time for plan B...I'm sure Batman's in the school by now." Max said.
Moth nodded, and flew away.
-Tim's point of view-
I tried to navigate through the gas-filled hallways. It was a very creepy feel. It was just pure silence.
I suddenly jumped at Drake's voice behind me.
"I couldn't find her." Drake said, walking past me.
"Drake you really need to just go get new clothes." I said, looking at his torn pants and shirt.
"I'll be fine." Drake said, getting farther ahead of me.
"Slow do-" I tried to say, but I was cut off by a loud scream.
Drake fell to his knees and held his ears. I didn't think it was loud enough to make me keel over, but oh well.
"Drake? You ok?" I asked.
"Ah...yeah....I'm ok..." Drake grunted, standing up.
Drake started to walk again, then he began to jog, then started to sprint, down the hall.
I followed slowly, well, slowly compared to him.
We went up stairs and ran past allot of the rooms.
"Drake! Where are you going?!" I yelled. He was already half way down the hall.
"I know where she is!" He yelled back, turning at one of the class rooms.
When I finally caught up with him, he tried the door.
"Locked..." He said, then, literally, tore it off the wall.
"Whoa now, calm down there hulk..." I said, my eyes wide.
"I don't have TIME to be calm!" Drake said, throwing the door down the hall.
Drake walked into the room full of people, and stopped dead in his tracks.
"Oh no..." Drake whispered.
"What?" I asked, looking at all the frightened faces.
Drake's head suddenly snapped in my direction.
"More bombs..."
"Oh...lovely..." I said.
Drake quickly looked around the room and walked over to a girl. She was Drake's height, and she had long blond hair and blue eyes.
I recognized her, I had a few classes with her, and I remembered seeing Drake with her allot.
"It's me...it's Drake." He whispered.
She was saying something, but it was to low for me to hear.
"That's who you were looking for?" I asked.
"Yes." Drake sighed.
"Well then let's get her out before the bombs go off! We need to get as many people out as we can." I said.
Drake picked her up with ease and walked over to me. I stood out of the way, and he suddenly burst back into a sprint.
I noticed a group of four people walking towards me. I turned to face them. They looked about my age, maybe a little older.
"Where's Drake?" One tall, muscular guy asked.
I wondered who they were for a moment, but when I figured it out it hit me like a bolt of lightning...
"Your Mike..." I said.
He suddenly grabbed me by my throat and held be up in the air.
"Do I need to repeat myself?" He asked in a very forceful voice. His eyes were pitch black, unlike the others, they had red eyes.
"Get off!" I choked.
He slammed me into a locker and dropped me.
"Ok...this fool is useless." Mike said, then looked at the others. "Find him."
The all nodded and scattered.
Mike looked back down at me, and pulled me up again.
"I know Drake and you are friends Batman...I've been watching you lately, so let me just warn you right now...Drake is going to die. It doesn't matter if you try to help him or not, your out-numbered. So just stay out of my way, and maybe I'll let you live."
"Are you really stupid enough to think I'm gonna let you kill my friend? Mike, I think all thoughs drugs are getting to you." I said.
Mike smiled at me, revealing his pointy fangs. He threw me down the hall with a quick flick of his wrist and I had to use my boots to keep me from hitting anything.
Mike laughed and walked away.
He had fangs... Drake didn't. What could that have meant?
Then I heard it...
That same loud beeping noise from before. They were going to gas the school again?
Everybody in the school was already under the affects of the fear toxin, what was the point?
Maybe they weren't going to shoot out fear gas...maybe they were actually bombs.
"Oh no..." I whispered.
-Drake's point of view-
I decided to just drop Lexi off with a doctor. Tim was right, if we weren't under the effects, we should do whatever we can to help get people out.
I walked back inside the school and ran upstairs.
"Look at the little half-breed!" I heard a voice laugh.
I turned around to face Randy and Gary.
"Are you freaking kidding me?" I sighed. "I've had enough fighting today..."
"Oh but we ain't here to fight." Gary smiled.
"Yeah man, we're just here to give you a second chance before Mike gets here...he's the one that will be here to fight." Randy said.
"Um...well, thank you? Look, I already told you guys I am not joining your little 'club' or whatever it is you have going on." I said.
"What's the matter half-breed? I sense sadness in your voice." Gary laughed.
"Why do you keep calling me that?" I asked.
"Haven't you noticed? Your half vampire." Randy said.
"Half?" I asked.
"Yes, half. Gary, shall we see if he's grown his fangs yet?"
"We shall!" Gary said, suddenly appearing behind me.
"Wait what?!" I yelped before having my head pulled back and my mouth forced open by two strong hands.
"Nope, no fangs." Randy chuckled.
Gary let go of me, and I fell back.
"Ain't that just pathetic?" Gary said.
"Very." Randy chuckled.
"Aw, come on guys don't hurt Drake. I think it's kinda cute!" I heard a high, female, voice chuckle.
"Fine Susan." Randy said.
For a moment I wondered who Susan was, then I remembered Mike's twin sister.
"Come on Drake, just join us! It will be fun!" Susan said.
"Why should I?" I asked, standing up.
"Because...then my brother won't have to kill you." She said.
I jumped up and pushed Randy and Gary away.
"Look, I'm fine...just leave me alone." I said.
"Don't make us kill another person you love Drake...first your mom, next one's gonna be your little girlfriend." Gary said.
"I don't have a girlfriend..." I said, confused.
"Oh but we see how you look at little Lexi in class every day. You like her..." Randy said.
"She...is with somebody..." I said, hurt.
"Does it look like we care half-breed?" Mike asked, suddenly appearing next to me.
"God...you guys are fast." I said.
"Well guys, grab him." Mike said.
Suddenly Randy and Gary grabbed my arms and Susan forcefully pulled my head back.
"What are you doing?!" I screamed.
"Making you full." Mike said.
I suddenly felt a needle poke into my neck, and before I knew it, it was out again.
I started to cough, then I fell to my hands and knees in pain.
"No!" I yelled.
"Did you really think you could just deny me Drake? Just accept it. Your one of us." Mike said.
"Never..." I coughed.
I suddenly felt the back of Mike's hand slap across my face, and I flew across the hall and slammed right into the wall.
"My god...Mike, how much did you take?!" I asked.
"Enough to kill you." He said.
I could feel the red rushing through my viens...making me stronger, faster...
I didn't want this, I didn't want to be this!
Suddenly I let out a loud growl, and jumped at Mike. I wasn't even thinking about it, I just did it.
Instinct was starting to take over, I was turning... All this time I thought it couldn't be any worse...
Mike's fist slammed into my face before I could do anything to him. I cried out in pain.
"That's it..." Mike whispered.
"Stop fighting Drake, it's over. Your one of us now." Gary said.
I leaned against the wall and spit out a tooth. I felt it regrow in a flash.
"Let's go." Mike said.
"But the funs just started!" Randy said.
"Did I ask for your opinion?!" Mike spat.
"Sorry..." Randy said.
"You better be sorry!" Mike yelled.
"Brother you don't have to be so mean!" Susan said.
"Shut up!!" Mike growled.
I felt the power surge fade, and as it left my body I slowly fell asleep.
-Tim's point of view-
Well I now have helped a total of seven people...Gordon was right, this was going to be a long night...
I noticed the girl that Drake had helped. I walked over to her quickly.
"Batman...?" She asked.
"I need you to tell me where Drake went." I said.
"Oh...um, I think he went back in the school. I don't know...It's hard to remember anything that happened." She said.
"Great... well thanks anyways." I said, running back inside.
The beeping was picking up, I wanted to hurry.
I noticed Drake on the floor, and ran over to him.
"Drake?!" I asked.
"Hm...?" Drake yawned.
"Drake get up!" I said.
Drake opened his eyes and looked at me. He opened his mouth to say something when we suddenly heard a loud explosion. It sounded like it came from the other side of the school.
"Oh crap..." Drake said, then suddenly there was another explosion, right next to us...
"Duck!" Drake screamed, before getting swallowed by the explosion.
I ran, but tripped, and looked back just in time to see the giant fireball swallow me just like Drake....

Chapter 18:
-Tim's point of view-
"Tim..." I heard a voice whisper.
Everything around me was pitch black. The only sound was a eerie voice whispering my name over and over.
"Tim..." The voice whispered again. Suddenly Scarecrow appeared.
"Your such a failure Tim..." He whispered.
His voice echoed around me.
"Failure..."
"Failure..."
"Failure..."
Then the voice paused for a moment and changed to "Tim..."
"Tim..."
Suddenly it sounded confused.
"Tim?"
Then the voice became louder.
"Tim!"
I felt strange...like my whole body was just slipping away into nothingness.
Like I was falling into a deep sleep, one I would never wake up from.
Everything was black again. Empty. Lonely...
What was this? Was this the beginning of death? Was I dying?
"Tim!!" The voice yelled.
I wanted to say something like "Go away.", if this was death I would rather be left in nothingness then be harassed by a voice for the rest of eternity.
The blackness slowly twisted into blurry colors. Most of it was orange, like fire...
Can't say it wasn't beautiful. Watching the dancing flame-like image was nice. It was calming. It made me think maybe it was the light at the end of the tunnel.
Just when I felt my eyes begin to close there was a sudden sharp push on my chest.
My eyes still continued to close slowly, and the blows to my chest came, one after another.
Then my vision cleared and I saw fire...all around me. Then I noticed Drake pushing on my chest...
He let out a loud ear-piercing noise. It sounded somewhat like a hiss. I felt my eyes nearly pop out of my skull when I noticed two pointy fangs in his mouth...
His eyes were now black. The blackest color I have ever seen in my entire life. It was like staring into a long black tunnel that never ended.
I could here screaming. It grew louder and louder, and the fire grew around Drake.
For a moment it was completely silent. Drake and I just stared at each other.
This wasn't some kind of relieving moment though...it wasn't a time where I wanted to say "Thank god I'm alive.", no... this was a tense, evil moment.
I thought Drake looked...evil. Absolutely evil. But only for a moment, though it felt like hours. Then suddenly Drake's voice interrupted my thoughts.
"Tim!" He yelled.
I jumped back, and looked around.
I immediately noticed that smoke was everywhere. It blocked everything out of my sight, along with the fire.
Were we in hell?
"Tim!" Drake yelled again, louder this time.
"What...?" I asked in a daze.
"Tim, we need to get these people out of here!" Drake said.
"Out of where?" I asked then remembered the school, and slammed my palm into my face. "Never mind..."
"I'll go get help ok? You start working on helping these people." Drake said, suddenly disappearing.
"Drake?" I asked, standing up. There was no reply.
I was relieved that my mask had survived the explosion. My mask was the only thing that could keep me breathing in this fire.
I slowly walked through the flames and climbed over some of the rubble until I got to the foot of the stair case.
I quickly climbed up and went into the nearest class room.
"There's demons in the fire!" a kid yelled.
"Save us!!!" Another screamed, hanging out the window. I quickly ran to them first and pulled them out of the window, then flew them outside.
I sat them right outside the school, in front of Drake, and a large group of police, medical staff, and firefighters who were coming in to help.
I flew back up into the room and pulled out two more people. When I flew back in I went to the next class room and found just one kid sitting in the corner of the room.
I slowly approached him, and put my hand on his shoulder.
"It's ok, I'm here to help." I said. He had his back to me, but quickly flipped around and smacked me across my face.
He started to punch me, and then another kid came up behind me.
They both began beating me to the ground, and then ANOTHER came up and started bashing my chest with a pipe.
I quickly fired up my boots and jumped over them. It separated them, and they all scattered to different areas in the room.
The one with the pipe charged me when I landed, and I grabbed his weapon, and threw it across the room.
I then continued to grab him and fly him outside. I flew back and got the other two next.
When I dropped them off I saw Drake standing across the lot. He looked shaky. Shaky enough that I could notice from across the lot?
I walked towards him, and I noticed a doctor walking over to him as well.
"Drake?" I asked.
"Go away." He growled, looking back at me.
"Drake what's wrong?" I asked.
"My...throat...is burning." He coughed.
"Let me have a look." The doctor said.
Drake looked at the doctor with large, hungry eyes. This wasn't the Drake I knew. This was some animal.
"No wait!" I yelled, tackling the doctor just before Drake lunged at him.
I jumped on top of Drake when he landed, and tried to keep him down.
Crap, how could I help him? I didn't have any blood on me, and the doctors probably didn't either.
I looked around for something, anything, that could help. Hell, I would take a muzzle if I could find one. As long as it would keep him from biting someone.
I saw a tent that was serving coffee, but that wouldn't help...
"Drake?!" I heard a female voice call. I looked to my left and saw Lexi walking over with a worried expression on her face.
I held up one of my hands for a moment to tell her to stop, but quickly put it back.
"Don't come any closer!" I commanded, then I got an idea... "Go get a cup from the coffee tent!"
She nodded and went to the tent.
I heard Drake whisper her name under his breath and then he suddenly became more violent. He tried as hard as he could to shake me off, it was like riding a bull. He was going nuts!
When Lexi came back Drake seemed to stop a little. He whispered her name again, and then stopped fighting completely.
"You have got to be kidding me..." I whispered, then looked up at her. "Come here!"
She looked at me, then looked down at Drake.
"He's fine...come here." I commanded.
She slowly walked over to us, and I took the cup. Drake just sat there looking up at her.
"Just stay right there." I said, getting off Drake and backing up.
I took the cup and pulled out a batarang. These things were pretty sharp.
I noticed a small patch of skin that was showing on my arm and cut it. It stung like hell.
I waited for about a minute for blood to fill the cup about half way. I squeezed my arm to get a little more out, then gave the cup to Drake, who snapped out of his trance and drank it.
I saw Lexi step back and stare at him with wide eyes.
Drake's eyes slowly changed back to red, and he looked up at her again and frowned sadly.
"Oh great..." He moaned, throwing his head into his hands.
"Are you ok?" I asked.
He just stared at me for a few moments. He shook his head slowly, and darted off.
Lexi was still standing there in shock.
"Damn it! You!" I yelled, pointing at Lexi, "Tell Gordon that I'll be back!"
Before she could respond I flew off after Drake.
"Drake!" I called after him. It was no use, he just kept running. It took a little bit, but I finally caught up with him, and flew beside him.
"Go away." He growled.
"Drake, what's wrong?" I asked.
"I'm a freak!" He screamed, and suddenly disappeared.
I looked back and noticed Drake running up the side of a building. I quickly flew up and landed next to him on the top of the building.
"Tim, I just want to be alone." Drake whispered.
"Drake, let me help you." I said.
"The only help I want right now Tim, is a cure."
"I think I can help." A low, raspy voice said behind me.
We both turned to see the hooded man with the skull mask.
"There's a scientist at Wayne Tech, Jack Sims, I think he can help you with your...condition." He explained.
"What makes you think that Death?" Drake asked.
"Because he created the red." Death replied.
"Whoa...wait, Sims? Isn't that Mike's last name?" I asked Drake.
"Hey...yeah it is." Drake said, then looked back to Death, "Thanks."
"One of my other rules: Don't be polite." Death grunted, and held his arms out to his sides, then fell back, off the building.
Drake and I both ran to the corner and peered over the edge, but there was no sign of Death anywhere.
"That dude...creeps me out." I said.
I looked back up and saw Drake running across a different building. He was racing towards Wayne Tech.
-Ten minutes later, Drake's point of view-
I was faster then I thought. I was so fast, in fact, that I could leap from one building to the next in one giant bound.
I was getting fairly close to Wayne Tech. I jumped from a building, dived gracefully towards a flagpole, grabbed it, and quickly used it to leap on top of the next building.
I jumped across a few other buildings, then landed on a gargoyle and looked across the street at Wayne Tech.
I jumped off the building and landed in a nearby ally. I then ran over to Wayne Tech and went inside.
I looked around for a moment and saw two security guards walking towards me, then I noticed Bruce standing in the lobby. He must have come here right after we rescued Tim.
"Bruce!" I yelled, and ran over to him before security got to me. They ran after me though as soon as I bolted.
I made sure to run at a fairly decent human speed, it felt really slow.
Bruce was talking to a group of people in very nice suits. He looked up when I called his name.
"Drake, what brings you here?" He smiled, then looked at the two guards, "Don't worry guys, he's ok."
The guards nodded and went back to there positions.
"I need to ask a favor of you." I said.
"Of course, excuse me gentlemen." He said to the well dressed group of people, and walked away to a not so crowded area.
"Bruce, do you know about a Jack Sims? I believe he works here?" I asked.
"Oh, Jack? Of course, he's working on the red drug, it's going to hopefully help us make our soldiers stronger and- wait, what are you getting at?"
"I need to see him...now, if it's possible." I said, feeling a small surge of anger. I told myself to keep it cool though. I was here for answers, not another fight.
"He doesn't come in until later, but, if your willing, I can get you in with him later tonight." Bruce explained.
"That would be...great." I sighed.
"How's it going over at the school?" Bruce asked.
"It's...chaotic, to say the least." I replied.
"Is Tim still there?" Bruce asked.
"I think he went back. I'm not sure though, one second he was with me, the next he was gone. I asked him for some alone time though." I explained, then looked outside and noticed the sun was coming out. I looked at Bruce in fear. If I was anything like a real vampire, the sun could very well kill me.
"Bruce, I need to get to a dark area now!" I exclaimed.
"Oh...um, is something wrong?" He asked in a worried tone.
"I'll explain later!" I said, seeing the sunlight creep in.
"Ok, ok." Bruce said, walking with me to the elevator. We walked inside, and Bruce pushed the button to go to the top floor. It was a long ride up, filled with awkward silence. You could literally here a pen drop. (I knew this because a pen fell out of Bruce's pocket.)
Finally we reached the top floor. The doors popped open with a small "ding" and we entered what appeared to be a giant office. The back wall was nothing but windows, but the blinds were closed.
Bruce walked in with a smile.
"Welcome to my home away from home." He said. It was funny, he acted nothing like he did as Batman. When he was Batman he didn't seem like the kind of guy to ever crack a smile in ages, and he seemed like if you got on his bad side he would be a total prick to you.
I looked around his office and noticed a big flat-screen t.v. which was surrounded by red leather chairs. There was also a big bear head on the wall.
"It's ok Drake, I like the dark too." He said, sitting down at his desk. He leaned back in his chair and waved me over with a smile.
I slowly walked over and sat across from him. I felt like I was being sent to the principle's office.
"So what's up?" He asked.
"Um...well you see my friend Mike, he kinda was given the red by some friend or something. I don't know how his friend, or whoever sold it to him, got the drug, but I know that they gave it to him and we all kind of...took it. That's why I'm all...super powery." I explained. I studied Bruce's facial expressions as I told him and, honestly, he didn't look the least bit surprised.
"Oh really? Hm, that does explain alot... now I see why you want to meet with Professor Jack." Bruce said slowly.
"Am I breaking the law? Are you gonna call the cops on me for stealing your super drug or whatever you wanna call it?" I asked, worried.
"Am I? Heck no. Drake, your like part of the family. And, the way I see it, you did nothing wrong. Well, I mean besides doing illegal drugs. However, we do need to figure out who gave the red to your friend before they can give it to anybody else. I don't know how they got it, but when we find them, they're gonna be in big trouble with the cops." Bruce said.
That was a relief. I let out a long sigh and smiled. I sat back in the chair and closed my eyes to rest a little.
I thought about Lexi. I thought about her beautiful blue eyes and the way I feel when I'm around her.
Before I knew it I was seeing me and her standing at the gates of heaven, we were listening to the angles sing and we watched them fly up into the sky. It was beautiful. Then suddenly my eyes popped open at a "Drake?".
"Huh?" I jumped. I looked across the desk at Bruce and he pushed a paper over to me.
"Sign it." He siad, pushing a pen over next to it.
"Wait, what's it for?" I asked.
"I made a few phone calls earlier today. By the way, the cops know about your mother, I told them you were at our house the whole night after the hospital, and had nothing to do with her murder. They might be questioning you later, but their way to busy with the school right now."
"But what's the paper for?" I asked.
"It means, if you sign it, you'll be Tim's new brother." Bruce smiled.
"Your...adopting me?" I asked.
"Like I said Drake, your like family." Bruce said, then jumped up at a knock on the door to the room.
-Gotham Hospital 1 hour later-
Riece was just getting out of surgery. He had finally gotten out the metal pole that had impaled him earlier. Commander Randy was in a different room, leaving Riece all alone with nothing to do but watch the news, which played the same old clips of the school over and over. It was updating every time a kid came out.
"How's your arm?" A male voice asked from the doorway. Riece knew that voice anywhere. He looked over at the man standing in the doorway. He had very short, brown hair. He was almost bald actually. He had thick, round glasses and green eyes. He was carrying a small black bag with him.
"Hey Jack." He smiled at his old friend.
"Heard about the crash." Jack said, and took a seat in one of the chairs by the bed.
"Yeah...they really ain't sure if I'm gonna be able to move my arm again" Riece frowned.
"So I've heard... but I think I can help." Jack smiled, and pulled out a big shot of Red.

Chapter 19:
-Drake's point of view-
I was still partially in shock. It wasn't the bad kind of shock though, not at all. I was happy. I was finally going to have a dad, and better yet, it's the person that I always wanted as a dad! How much more could you want from life?
Bruce was having a discussion with one of the staff members. Apparently one of their kids was at the school, so they wanted to have the rest of they day off. Bruce excused them and they hurried out with a quick "Thank you!"
He was the seventh guy in the past hour to come in and ask for that, it was kind of sad. Alot of the parents were probably helping out at the school.
For a moment I wondered if Tim might need my help, but then I remembered freaking out in front of Lexi, and dismissed the thought of going back. I would at some point, but not yet. She probably wasn't even at the school right now, but I didn't want to take any chances.
"They give any updates?" Bruce asked.
"According to Tom whats-his-name on the news they will be updating 'every hour on the hour'". I said in a cheesy mimic of the reporters voice. I watched as they showed Tim, or in this case Batman, pull out a kid that was spazzing like crazy.
Bruce sighed at the image, then took a seat next to me on the red sofa.
"It looks like Tim's got the hero thing down." I said.
"Well, after this he will most likely be viewed as more of a hero then he was. Did you know the news was actually blaming the attack on him earlier?" Bruce asked, and took a sip of his wine.
"Oh really?" I replied. I had explained to him that I drink blood so he actually got me a wine glass and put blood in it. When I asked him where he got the blood he explained that Wayne Tech needs blood samples from humans and animals alike to test things like the red. He also said that they had no idea that the red would do that, but the red was made with DNA from "vampire bats".
I took a sip of my blood. I tried to make it last, that way I wouldn't get hungry for a while.
"Do you have any paper Bruce?" I asked.
"Yeah, how much you need?"
"I don't know, I just feel like writing." I replied.
"I'll see what I can do." Bruce said, and walked out the door, which was on the right side of the room. See, the whole floor wasn't JUST his office, there was a hallway outside. He just wanted an elevator he could use to take straight to his area.
After a few minutes Bruce returned with a journal that said "Wayne Tech" on it.
"Where did you get this?" I asked.
"From the gift shop." He smiled.
"You guys have a gift shop?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, you would be surprised how much tourist come here to get a tour of the place and spend their money at the shop. It's quite amazing how much cash we get each year just from tourists." Bruce said.
"Hm...that's pretty cool." I said, opening the book.
"Drake, you know, I think your fear of the sun is funny." Bruce said, "Because the drug hasn't affected any of the animals when they were in sunlight."
"Nothing happened to them?" I asked.
"Nothing that we noticed, but hey, the animals eyes also never turned red, so there might be a big change between the human affects and the animal affects." Bruce replied.
"I don't feel like taking any chances." I sighed.
"That's your own personal choice."
There was another knock on the door. I assumed it was just another poor sap wanting to leave for their kid. Bruce stood and walked over to the door. He opened it and smiled at the man.
"Ah, Mr. Sims." He greeted.
"You...wanted to see me Mr. Wayne?" He asked, looking at me for only a second.
"More like Drake here would like to see you." Bruce corrected, turning to me.
He looked over at me again and adjusted his glasses. He squinted his eyes, trying to look at my features. He stared at my eyes for a long time. I started to feel un-easy.
"I see." He whispered, then walked over to me for a closer look. "You've taken the red haven't you?" He asked.
I stood and realized he was about the same height as I was. It was probably just because of his boots though.
"I have." I said after a long, awkward, pause. I had this strange feeling around him that made me feel somewhat sick. It reminded me of Mike. Yep, this dude was defiantly related to my worst enemy.
"Well, I must say this is quite an honor! Seeing you, standing here. It's like looking at my own child!" He exclaimed suddenly.
"Excuse me?" I asked. Bruce must have been just as surprised as I was because he took a few steps back and had a weirded out expression on his face.
"Your almost exactly like I thought you would be." He smiled.
"What are you talking about dude?" I asked, stepping back like Bruce. The only thing that was going through my head was "Creeeppper".
"Must I spell it out for you boy?" He asked, then went on before I could even reply, "You took the red, which will soon be one of my most famous creations, and now, here you are! My very own creation standing right here in front of me!"
He wasn't making a great lot of sense, but he was getting a bit of it through to me. The parts that I DID understand made me angry... He was only thinking about himself. He thought that I was here to thank him? I wasn't sure what he was saying...
I grabbed the collar of his tan suit and shoved him up against the wall. I looked him right in his big green eyes and growled.
"I'm here for a cure, NOT to be looked at like some trophy!"
"Err...yes of course, shall we go down to my lab and see what we can do?" He asked.
"That would be most appreciated." I smiled darkly.
"Well, then put me down?" He asked, looking at my hands.
I let go of him and let him fall to the ground. He quickly walked out the door and into the hallway. I followed, along with Bruce.
We went to a different elevator and took it a few levels down to one of the labs. The doors popped open and it was a long dark hallway filled with doors on both sides. Each door had a different name on a gold plate, which hung off the door. The walls were a peach color, and the doors were a very dark colored wood, which did not match the wall at all.
We walked to a door labeled "Jack Sims", and walked in.
It was pitch black inside, and when the lights were flipped on I noticed a large desk with papers scattered all over the top of it.
Another thing I noticed about the desk was a bottle of pills were sitting on it.
"You take pills?" I asked, looking at the open drawers with papers scattered all over the floor.
"Oh...thoughs things?" He chuckled.
"What are they for...?" I asked slowly.
"You think it's a cure don't you?" He asked, "Well it's not kid. I don't have one made up yet."
"Damn it." I said under my breath.
"So...let's go see what we can do." He said.
He walked over to a big curtain and pulled it out of the way, revealing a large wall of cages. There were rats in each cage. They were all sitting perfectly still, staring at us. It was...creepy.
"Is something wrong with them?" I asked, walking closer.
As soon as I walked up to the cages all the rats started squeaking, and clawing at the glass cages. I jumped back, and felt a strong hand grab my arm.
"Don't..." Jack said in a low growl.
"Jack?" Bruce asked.
"Ah...get...my pills..." Jack whispered, keeling over.
I wanted to say "What's going on?", but my mind was beginning to sort everything out for me.
The pills, the voice, his strength, the red... it all made sense to me.
I looked down at Jack and, with out looking, took the pills from Bruce. I kneeled down to come face to face with him and held the pills up to his face.
"What do these things do?" I asked.
"None of your business." He said, swiping the pills out of my hand. He opened the bottle, put two in his hand, and swallowed them.
"Your a sick man Mr. Sims..." I spat.
"Drake? What's going on?" Bruce asked.
"Where is it?" I asked, ignoring Bruce.
"Where's what?" He asked, his green eyes getting bigger. His fake, green eyes...
"You know damn well what I'm talking about." I growled.
He stared at me in shock for a few seconds. The whole room went dead silent. Finally, a shaky hand pointed to a closet on the other side of the room.
-Tim's point of view, 15 minutes ago-
The firefighters did a good job of helping me with getting in locked doors. One actually let me barrow his ax so, in case the rubble separated us, I could get into the rooms.
It was just me and two other guys, but we came across other groups alot. We were starting to really make progress. It was still slow, I will admit, but we were making progress. That was all that counted.
"You hear thoughs kids screaming?" One asked.
"Yeah...it's really kind of scary ain't it?" The other replied.
I was trying to block out the disturbing sounds of the people in pain. They really weren't helping...
"Change of subject: has anybody been in the gym yet?" I asked.
"We haven't had any reports of the gym being cleared yet...should we go there next?" One asked.
"Yeah, let's go." I said.
We walked half way across the school to go to the gym. The doors were locked, so we had to go outside to get in. The gym doors were metal, unlike the wooden class room doors. That meant they would most likely be to hard to chop with the ax.
I kicked the door in, and we walked inside. Again, crazy kids were all over the place.
Screaming: That was the first thing I heard when we entered the room.
There were at least thirty kids. We would need more help here.
"Radio another team, tell them we need assistance." I commanded, walking over to a group of people.
I explained to them what was going on, trying to reason with them. The funny thing was, they actually trusted me. They listened to what I had to say, and they trusted that I really was Batman, and that I was here to help them.
I led them outside and pointed to a few doctors. When I knew they were in good hands I went back inside to get the rest of the gym.
I walked past a group of guards taking more kids out. More like alot of kids out...
A firefighter in the group looked at me and told me that the gym was cleared out, so I decided to go for a small break. I walked over to the coffee tent to get something to drink. I pulled off the gas-mask and quickly gulped down the drink.
I saw Lexi staring at me. She didn't look all creeped out and stuff, she actually looked more worried.
I walked over to her and put the gas-mask back over my mouth.
"Um...hi." I said, awkwardly, "Listen, I know you must be shaken up by this whole thing that happened today..."
"What happened to Drake? I mean, what's going on with him?" She asked.
"It's very...complicated." I sighed.
"Look, you can tell me. I'm your friend ok?" She said, forcing a smile.
"Friend? You barely know me." I laughed.
"Your real name is Tim Wayne." She said after that.
"...Never mind..." I said speechlessly.
"It was Drake that helped me figure that one out. You and Drake are really close buddies, and every time you saw me, you said something that had to do with Drake. I figured it out pretty quick." She smirked.
"Damn it..." I sighed.
She smiled at me with a sassy look that had "I just beat you" all over it.
Suddenly I felt a cold, hard hand on my shoulder. I jumped and turned to see Mike. He was at least a foot taller then me, unlike Drake who was only an inch taller. Mike had some sadistic smile on his face. For a moment I thought he was going to kill me, right there...then I realized that he had something else planned. The look in his eyes, though the rest of his face looked happy as could be, was fury.
"Your not here for me...are you?" I asked.
"Nope." He said quickly. He then swung his arm at me so fast I almost had no chance of dodging, but I was expecting it.
I ducked, jumped up, and hit his jaw with my fist.
He stumbled back, and I sat there holding my hand. It was like punching marble.
When he recovered he smiled at me, and charged, faster then I thought he could have.
I wasn't prepared, he hit me like a bull. I flew back, almost hitting Lexi.
"Run..." I whispered, the wind knocked out of me.
-Drake's point of view, present time-
"I knew it." I said, holding the closet door open.
"It's not what you you think!" Jack yelled.
"Oh really?" I asked, holding a skull mask in his face.
"I-I..." He stuttered.
I threw the mask across the room.
"Now I'm gonna ask you one more time...what are the pills for?!"
"I- I have split p-personality..." He said.
"That's what I thought..." I smirked. "Now put it on..."
"What?" He asked. Bruce was standing across the room with his arms crossed, leaning up against the wall. He looked kind of confused, so he just stayed out of it.
"Put on the mask." I said slowly.
Jack quickly walked over to the mask and put it on.
"What the-? Oh..." Death's voice grunted.
I was still looking through the things in the closet, but found nothing but the staff and robe.
There was a knock at the door and a young woman entered the room.
"Mr. Wayne...you might want to check this out." The woman said in a worried voice.
"What is it?" Bruce asked.
The woman turned the t.v on and we saw a picture of the school. It was an overhead view, so the camera must have been in a chopper.
The screen flashed to another camera that was in the parking lot, the reporter was talking about an all-out brawl between Batman and some kid. The camera zoomed in and I saw Tim trying to run with Lexi in his arms. There was a flash next to Tim, something darting across the screen: Mike.
Mike stopped, pushed Tim back, which forced him to drop Lexi and fly back into the brick walls of the school.
Mike walked over to Lexi, but was slowed down by gun shots.
Mike turned to face the screen, a crazy smile spread across his face. Black blood was dripping from the wounds where the bullets hit. They healed, and the bullets fell out of Mike's body.
"I'm waiting Drake." Mike said to the camera.
No...
"Oh my god." Bruce whispered.
"No no no no no!" I screamed, darting out the window.
I ran towards the school. I ran faster then ever before...
It didn't take me long at all. Maybe five minutes? I just jumped from roof to roof.
I couldn't think, the whole run I was in a daze, it was like I had dreamt it. Before I knew it I was at the school.
I jumped from the final building, and dived right into Mike. I thought I was going to hit him, I thought I was going to tackle him down...silly me.
Mike turned to fast, he grabbed me by my throat before I could hit him.
He smiled and dropped me. Tim ran up behind him, but only to be kicked back.
"You...have gone...too far!!" I growled, punching Mike so hard he flew into the building.
I was never one for fighting...but when it came down to helping the one I loved...I could get into a fighting mood.
I ran inside after him, Tim followed with his boots. I didn't even take a single look at Lexi, I couldn't get soft, not now...
Tim and I stood in the building, looking for Mike.
"There." Tim said, pointing at a stair case. Mike was standing at the top, like he was waiting for me.
I looked back and saw Scarecrow and Moth standing on the other stair case. Then when I looked back at Mike, Randy appeared next to him.
"Not good..." Tim said.
"I'll get Mike and Randy." I said.
"And I'll get Scarecrow and Moth." Tim nodded.
We stood back to back. Sparks were flying, literally...
This is going to be where it ends. I'm gonna stop him...I'm gonna kill him. Take his head off.
Randy charged, and I assumed that Scarecrow and Moth were getting ready to attack as well because Tim screamed "NOW!"
-Third person-
"Keep them busy!" Scarecrow yelled after Moth as he ran up the stairs.
"You got it." Moth said, getting one of the suits built in weapons ready. In this case, it was a small missile that came off of a mini-launcher on his shoulder.
Drake was dodging punches from Randy. Mike stayed back.
"Let's see who's got the better gadgets." Moth said to Tim.
"If you insist." Tim said, throwing a batarang at Moth.
Moth was thinking that the batarang was a stupid idea, but then, when it got close enough, the batarang blew up in Moth's face.
One of Moth's contacts broke, and a small map of the suit apeared in Tim's contacts, showing the area he damaged the most.
"That...actually hurt." Moth laughed, back-handing Tim.
Meanwhile Max raced to a few class rooms, planting more bombs.
Drake heard a faint beeping. He ignored it though. He punched Randy, who went flying back. Mike clapped once, and Susan and Gary jumped out and grabbed Drake's arms so he couldn't move.
Mike slowly walked over to Drake with that twisted smile he always wore. He grabbed Drake's head, and started to pull. He pulled so hard that Drake could feel his stone hard skin tearing around his neck.
"Tim!!" Drake screamed. Little did he know that Tim was already preparing to help. Tim had pulled out two more of the explosive batarangs.
"Hang on!" Tim screamed, throwing the batarangs. He knew that they would go off as soon as they got close enough to Drake, which would hurt him, but would get the others off.
The plan worked. They were all flying in different directions.
Mike was the first to stand, then Drake. Randy was already standing with Mike, ready to attack on command.
"You know Drake, I never did explain to you the real reason behind making you a full vampire like the rest of us. Hell though, if you would have just taken the full shot when we first gave you the red...then you would have been full even before today."
"I don't want to be full!" Drake screamed.
"That's one of the reasons." Mike said, smacking Drake away when Drake lunged at him. "But the real reason was, when your full, you get these...instincts. Like an animal you know? And the one in the group who is the strongest somehow has a small bit of control over the others. I'm the strongest, as you can see...and you? Well, your like Randy here: Your fast, very fast, probably even faster then I am at points, but you ain't strong enough to beat me. So Drake..do me a favor? Kill Tim."
Drake stood in shock for a moment, he turned to face Tim, who was in the middle of a brawl with Moth, then faced Mike.
Drake growled, and fought Mike's control. Mike let out a loud growl to and shouted "Do it!!"
Drake still ignored him somehow though, and charged him. Mike grabbed Drake when he was close enough, and head-butt him. Drake fell back from the two head smashing together.
"Moth." Scarecrow spoke to Moth via built-in speaker.
"Yeah?" Moth asked, kicking Tim away so he could talk for a moment.
"The bombs are ready. Hurry up and blow the place, try to get the vampire idiots too, we don't want them double crossing us."
"You got it." Moth said, pulling out a detonator.
Mike started to charge at Drake like a bull, Drake charged back and they both jumped at each other. Before they could hit each other though, a bomb blew the floor over them, and they were covered by the rubble.
"Drake!" Tim screamed, running over to the rubble, only to be blown out of the school by another bomb before he could get to the pile of concrete...
-20 minutes later-
Tim lay in a pile of broken bricks and glass. blood dripping from his torn suit... he was in the back of the school, nobody had found him yet.
He just laid there, out cold. When he finally came to his senses he sat up and stared up at the figure standing in front of him.
The sun had finally come out so it was hard for him to see who it was at first. Then he realized there were two people.
"Hey stranger." Gordon smiled. "Glad your ok..."
One of Tim's contacts was broken, so it was hard to see out of one eye. He pulled them out, and looked at the other figure.
"Hey guys..." Tim said to Gordon and Lexi. Why was she with Gordon?
"What happened to Drake?" Lexi asked.
"Oh god...Drake!" Tim yelled, running inside.
-Tim's point of view-
I looked through the hallway trying to find some small sign that Drake was ok, but there was nothing.
Just piles of what used to be the upper floors of the school.
Finally, I found one of the other vampires...what was his name? Randy? Yeah...that's it.
"Hey...Randy!" I shouted. I actually wanted to smile. If he survived the explosion, then that meant that Drake could have too.
Randy turned to face me and shook his head. His shirt was torn and he had burns all over his torso.
"Oh my god...are you ok?" I asked.
"I'll be fine, where's Mike?" He asked in response.
"I don't know, where ever he is though, Drake must be with him." I said.
"Ok then, your gonna need help if you wanna lift up this rubble, how about we stick together?" He asked, holding his hand out. "Truce?"
"Truce." I said, shaking his hand in agreement.
"Not permanent though." He said before I could say another word.
"Of course, that would ruin the fun." I smirked.
"Your a cocky little b***ard arn't ya?" He snickered.
"A little bit here and there..." I said, walking over to a huge pile. On top of the rubble was a support beam that had been knocked over in the explosion.
"You think he's in there?" I asked.
"I think this is the place that bomb blew up...wanna check?" Randy asked. He didn't wait for an answer though, he jumped up and started lifting the support beam off right away.
I helped, and we threw it off in no time. Then we started pulling out huge chunks of concrete. Before I knew it, we found a hand. I felt my eyes grow wide with worry, but then, suddenly, the hand moved.
Randy and I looked at each other, then uncovered the body.
My hopes were crushed when it turned out to be Mike...staring up at me with wide black eyes.
"Thanks meat." He said, wiping dust off his shirt as he stood.
"Where's Drake?" I asked.
"Hell if I know, might of been killed in that explosion, I know I wouldn't have made it if he hadn't absorbed half of the hit for me. Last i saw he went flying out the back...well, see ya meat." Mike said before disappearing with Randy.
I walked out the back door slowly and searched the whole back of the school for Drake...there was no sign of him.
"Tim..." A deep voice came from behind me. I turned to face Death.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"I need to speak with you...earlier today, when you were under the affects of the fear gas, did you meet a man, in the corn field?" Death asked.
"Yeah..." I replied. "Wait, how do you know what was happening in my head?"
"Not important, it's just part of my powers. But Tim...that was not a good person to see. Do you know what that means...?"
"What?" I asked.
"It means my brother is coming Tim, we will have one year. You saw him, he's in your head now. You can't let him control you. That's his favorite game Tim...control. He loves to mess with people, he loves to send them to their own doom."
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"What I am talking about is simply, you are a victim...a victim of Moros. I will explain later...work to attend..." Death said, suddenly disapearing like the vampires.
I wondered if he was one...
"Tim?" Lexi asked.
"Yeah...?" I replied.
"Is Drake ok?" Lexi asked.
I looked up at her, feeling the wind blow through half of my hair, half of the mask was blown away. I looked at her with deep, sad eyes and whispered "I don't know..."
-Wayne Tech-
Jack Sims stumbled through the door, he looked at the mirror, seeing himself with his hood and skull mask. He quickly removed the costume to reveal his nice buisness suit.
Jack walked over to a small cabnet and opened it. It was a mini-fridge that held vials of blood. He took one and gulped it down. He looked back in the mirror and shook his head, then popped a few pills in his mouth and put his green contacts back in.
Jack picked up a picture of his family... his wife and twins: Mike and Susan.
"What have I done?" He whispered to himself.
"I assume you know?" A deep voice asked. Normally the voices were in his head, but this one was real, very real...
"Yes brother...I know." Jack said, turning to face the man from Tim's nightmare.
"Are you going to stop me?" The man asked.
"You know me brother... I let fate do what it must. When you return, we may very well fail. And if we do...then your going to be the most powerful man on the planet."
"Let us not forget the control..." The man snickered.
"You never did use that...you just drove people crazy." Jack sighed.
"Ah, but this tim around...I think I will use it. All of Gotham will bow before me, their will stripped from their minds."
"Then good luck to you brother...until next time." Jack whsipered.
"See you on the battlefield." The man said, fading away. Before he completely disapperead he left with a "One year..."
Jack sat down in his seat, and looked at his skull mask again.
"I hope to god you know what your doing boy..." Death's voice said. Though nobody appeared to be in the room... "Have a nice trip."
(Three Notes. 1. Quote from Tim: "A deep voice came from behind me. I turned to face Death." I turned to face Death? Am I forshadowing something in the near future? Maybe Tim is not turning to face the character...but his own Death? Maybe the Death of a close friend or family member? 2: What happened to Riece? Did Jack give him the red? And 3: Who was Death talking to? Was somebody in the room...? The answer to this is: Yes. there was somebody, though not in the room, outside the window. Who do we know that can get outside of the very high window? Answers in book 2...)
Epilogue:
-Two Weeks Later, Lexi's house-
A man walks up to Lexi's house, he is wearing a long, tan, trench coat, leather gloves, and a hat.
He rings the door bell, and gets no answer. He decides to slip the note he was going to give Lexi in the mailbox and leaves.
Under the hat, somebody walking by the man notices a skull mask. They look back at the person with an odd expression, but he keeps on walking.
"Hmph...people." The man says in a low Raspy voice.
The man walks to a red Sedan and gets in. He looks over at the driver, Jack Sims, and pulls off the hat, gloves, mask, and coat.
The man is badly burnt, he is bald, his eyes are light blue.
"You look well." Jack said, driving down the street.
"Well at least I can leave in peace." The man said in a very raspy voice.
"Hopefully you'll get better." Jack frowned.
"You think I'm worried about the burns? It's my hair I'm gonna miss." The man coughed.
The car was filled with an awkward silence for a bit.
"So when will you be back?" Jack asked.
"When this is finally over. I'm putting...putting..." He tried to finish, but burst into a loud cough that he couldn't get control of for a minute. "As I was saying...I'm putting her in to much danger. I'm the one he wants. Before I go though, I need to know: Who gave Mike the red?"
"Death did." Jack sighed. "The pills just don't work sometimes...that's when Death takes over."
Finally, the car arrived at a bus station. The man and Death hopped out of the car, went to the trunk, and took out a few bags.
"See you in a few months?" The man said. "I shouldn't be longer then a year."
"I know you won't..." Jack said, giving the man his luggage.
"You saw me die?" The man asked.
"Maybe..." Jack said, walking back to the car, "See you in a few months Drake."
And with that, he left.
"All right Mike...follow me. Now I will be the one waiting." Drake whispered in his new raspy voice, walking toward the bus heading straight for Findlay Ohio.
-Arkham Asylum, 2 days later-
An Arkham Guard is walking through the halls, walking towards a giant metal door labeled "Bane".
"Hold it." One of the guards said. "What are you going in there for?"
The other simply smiles, and touches the two guards in front of him, which caused them to devolve. He then walked in the room, and pulled out the shot of Venom, similar to one that Crane had given Bane not all that long ago.
"Clayface?" Bane whispered, weakened.
"give my regards to Mr. Crane would you?" Clayface asked, putting the shot in Bane
The last thing a few guards down the hall heard was Bane's roar...
The end?

Book 2, "Human" preview:
(All in third person for preview)
-2 months after the villains find out Tim is Batman-
Tim remembered what Death had said to him. He remembered it word for word.
"My brother is coming Tim, we have one year. You saw him, he's in your head now. You can't let him control you. That's his favorite game Tim...control. He loves to mess with people, he loves to send them to their own doom."
Tim was scarred, he had this guy, who could kill a person just by a simple touch, chasing him down. Wouldn't you be scarred?
Drake has gone missing, there has been no sign of him. Some believe he is dead, but Bruce and Tim know he's still out there.
The villains know Tim is Batman, as well as the vampires know Drake will never join them.
What could this mean?
A war?
Will the streets of Gotham be covered in blood, or will Batman be able to stop Moros, and the vampires, and the villains?
Will Scarecrow come for him? Is Scarecrow really Max?
So many questions, so many things Tim didn't know the answers to.
Tim and Death, can they stop it?
-One month later-
One month closer...
Tim knew this could be the end for everybody in Gotham. Friends, family... everyone.
Tim was losing hope. Drake was still gone, and now Bruce has been shot, and is in the hospital.
Tim's world is slowly falling apart.
-5 Months-
Bruce has survived, but is still not in a very good state. He is slowly regaining use of his legs. He can walk, but with a cane.
Drake has come back to his friends, but is not focused enough to be a hero...he has his thoughts on a girl, which is keeping him from doing anything without being reckless, it's also making him want to be human again.
Death informs Tim that Moros's appearance will be sooner then expected. They have one month left...
Drake tries to rally the rest of the vampires, and he has Tim rally the villains. They need a team. This team will be very breakable however, because it will be foe working with foe.
Drake is on edge, getting worried for the one he loves, Tim is worried about working with the villains, and for having Drake on the field when the fight begins.
-Moros's appearance-
All is quiet in the streets of Gotham. A large portion of the city has been evacuated by Hero's and villains alike.
Batman and Drake are gathered in the streets, Nightwing, and the newly recovered Bruce have joined the team.
Death tells them it's time, and Moros appears in front of them all. One man fighting such a team surely has no chance at winning.
Helicopters are hovering overhead, showing the appearance. All of Gotham is watching, expecting all of the hero's and villains to charge, but before anything can happen...Drake steps forward.
Drake looks up at Moros, then one who thinks of himself as a god, the one who can choose the doom of each and every person on the face of the earth and whispers "Make me human..."

Prologue:
-Gotham City, Tim's point of view-
"You have absolutely NO idea where he is?!" I yelled.
"None." Death replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"Then your gonna help me find him." I said through my teeth.
We were standing on top of Wayne Tech. It was a very dark, cold, night. I didn't have to worry about school...not after it blew up.
You see, 2 weeks ago the villains somehow found out who I really was. The Scarecrow, Killer Moth, and Clayface all attacked the school, and kidnapped me.
My best friend Drake took some freaky drug that turned him into a vampire, I met Death, this dude standing in front of me, I was put under the affects of the Scarecrows "Fear Toxin" two times... the new Nightwing hates my guts just because I'm a hero, and I guess I'm "on his turf".
Yeah...it's been one hell of a week.
Oh, and another thing: Drake's gone MIA. I don't know if he's dead or alive, but I am making it my mission to find out.
You know what though? Here's the big thing! The "icing on the cake": Death's brother, who I guess has some freaky god powers, wants to kill me and take control of all the people in Gotham, why? Don't even ask me because I have no freaking clue.
Death told me he's gonna get in my head though, he's gonna try to screw me up, you know? Make me crazy... just like the people I have to see every night.
So I guess this brings up the question "Who am I and what am I doing in a Batman costume"?
My name is Tim Wayne.
And I am the son of Batman...
Now this is a story, not of heroic actions, and battles...no. If your looking for some cheesy movie storyline, this is not the story for you.
This story is many things, but not heroic? I know what your thinking: "How can it not be heroic?! This is about Batman! The super hero!"
Well, I used to think I was a hero. I was a cocky fifteen year old brat...just two weeks ago. Now here I am looking for my best friend...worried out of my f***ing mind.
So what could this story be about, if not heroic actions?
Insantity...death...despair...judgement...and love...
I never really believed in a day where the world would end, the whole 2012 thing? Never happened.
Here I'll show you everything...everything that happened to me. My own world, the one I thought I had...that world ended in less then a year.
My name is Tim Wayne, and I'm Batman.

Its a good start:thumb:. This Bane makes me think of the Bane from "The Batman" animated series, that guy was huge. I think you should also post it on fanfiction.net, I think it would be easier to read that way and you could get even more feedback. Just a suggestion though.
I'm actually going to be starting up some stories on there pretty soon. You can never have too much practice! Plus its fun:D

Chapter 1:
-Month 1, Week 2-
So...how do I prepare for this? How does anybody prepare for this?
I was sitting in the Batcave...I had been sitting there for hours. I was using the giant computer to watch Gotham News.
Nothing really interesting was happening on the news, but I was hoping that I could find something there like...a person being killed by vampires.
"Master Tim?" Alfred' voice came from behind me.
I jumped at the sudden break in silence.
"Whoa...oh hey Alfred." I said, looking back at him.
He shook his head and sighed.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"You look like you haven't slept in days Master Tim...are you feeling ok?"
"I haven't slept well, but I have been sleeping. I guess I'm just worried about Drake. You think he made it?" I sighed.
"Well Master Tim...I really can't say. I wasn't there when it all happened." Alfred said.
"Speaking of Drake..." He began, pulling out a small case. "Your father wanted me to give these to you."
"What is it?" I asked, taking the case.
"It's Drake's video diary, it was found at his house." Alfred said. "Well, I'll leave you to your work."
"Thanks Alfred..." I said, eyeing the case. I quickly un-zipped it and pulled out a disc labeled "Entry one".
I popped it in the computer and waited for the video to load.
Suddenly the screen covered in static, then cut to Drake sitting on his bed.
"Ok...um. Entry one..." Drake said in a awkward voice.
He let out a long sigh, then half smiled. He looked around the room before going back to talking.
"Well I guess I should start off by saying that this video log is made for my two best friends Tim and Lexi. You guys are...pretty awsome friends."
I smiled at that. I never really noticed how pale he was though until I saw this. He looked so much darker here compared to his new self.
"Anyways...the main reason this is being made is, well, I just need some thing to let out stress. And this is where I can tell my two favorite people what I really think about things.
Tim, today you asked me something I didn't quite know the answer to. You asked me what I would wish for if I had one wish in the whole world. Well, it would be world peace. Tim, I love the world...I just don't love all the people in it. Everyday somebody is murdered, raped, somebody commits suicide...it's not good.
Now on another note, Tim, I love Lexi. If for some reason I die, and never get to tell her that, you let her know I love her. I am assuming that your getting to see this video first, because everybody knows your like my brother Tim.
You would think if I loved her so much I would wish for her huh? Well...I learned something throughout my life: love ain't free. You gotta work for it, you gotta really want it. And-"
"Whats this?" Death's voice asked.
I jumped out of the seat, paused the video, and turned to face him.
"Where in the hell do you come from?!" I yelled.
"Where ever I want." He shrugged.
"Your insane! How did you even get in here?!"
He shrugged again "I found the secret entrance to the cave."
I stared at him for a second, then shoved my palm into my face.
I fell back into the chair and let out a long breath.
"You want anything to drink?" I asked.
"No...I'm fine." He said.
"Take a seat." I suggested.
"Standings fine." He replied.
"So...what are you here for?" I asked after a long moment.
"I don't know." He said.
"So you just decided to, what? Break into the Batcave, run down the long tunnel, and sneak up behind me, just so you could scare the crap out of me?"
"No...I figured we should work together...you and I could make a good team." Death explained.
"Master Tim!" Alfred called down the long, winding stair case.
"Yeah Alfred?!" I called back.
"There's a miss Lexi here for you!"
"Oh!" I said, jumping up. I ran up the steps and went to the living room where Lexi was standing.
She looked over at me with a strange expression.
"What...?" I asked. The I realized she was looking over my shoulder, so I turned and saw Death standing right behind me.
"Gah!" I screamed, jumping back, and falling on the couch.
"You run slow." Death said.
"Maybe that's just because you have super human speed!" I yelled.
"Jack? What are you doing here?" Dad's voice asked. He was standing in the kitchen with an apron on that said "worlds best cook".
"Dad? What are you doing with Alfred's apron? Who's Jack?!" I was so confused...
"Did I come at a bad time?" Lexi asked.
"No, no! Just uh... oh man... Death, go wait in the cave please?"
Death turned around and walked back to the cave. I turned back to Lexi and half smiled.
"Any word on what happened to Drake?" I asked.
"Actually..." She began, pulling out a folded piece of paper.
She handed it to me and I opened it up to see that it was a letter from Drake.
It said:
"Dear Lexi:
Lexi, I'm leaving this letter to let you know that I may not be around for a while. I can't tell you where I am, or why I'm here...but all's I can say is this:
I love you Lexi, and...well, I couldn't leave Gotham without leaving this letter behind. I'll be back, hopefully sooner then later?
Love, always and forever,
Drake."
I let out a long sigh of relief. At least he wasn't dead like I thought. But why did he leave?
-10 minutes later-
We had set up a small table in the cave. Death and Lexi were going to be eating here, and I wanted to show Lexi the video diary.
"Did you ever have feelings for him?" I asked Lexi, after taking a bite of chicken.
She shook her head.
"He's one of my best friends...but that's all he'll ever be." She frowned.
"He's obsessed you know." Death said. He had taken off his mask, but kept his hood partially over his head, that way we couldn't see his face.
"Excuse me?" She asked.
"Nothing..." Death grunted, going back to eating.
"So uh...Death? Your name's Jack huh?" I asked after another long pause.
"I suppose it's only fair that you know who I am under my mask...here." Death replied, pulling off his hood.
I wasn't expecting this aged man sitting in front of me. To be quite honest...it took me way off guard.
Lexi just sat there between the two of us without a care in the world. You probably get used to it after both your friends fight crime and stuff...
Still...I was surprised. He looked familiar, but I couldn't quite figure out what it was...
"Ok...well... this might take a little bit of an explanation. You see Tim, I work for your father down at Wayne Tech, and he and I work very closely on projects together." Jack said.
"You sound different..." I said.
"That's because Death and I are two different people. When I put on the mask, I don't remember anything that happens. All's I know is I went out and helped people, at least, I hope... I have split-personality, that's why I can't remember."
I scooped up a spoon full of potato's before looking back up at him.
"And you also have no idea where Drake is?" I asked.
"No clue." He said, looking away quickly.
I nodded slowly, and went back to eating.
-Week 3-
When I had told Alfred I wasn't sleeping well, I meant it. I was starting to have these crazy nightmares of my friends dying before I could save them.
This one was really bad though. I was walking through a burning building, Wayne Tech.
I was looking for my dad, but there was no sign of him. Suddenly I approached his personal office, everything went in slow motion as a reached to open the door.
I pulled it open, but there was still no sign of him. then I looked a bit closer in the fire. There was a body burning in the flames.
I walked over to the body to see who it was. To my surprise it was not my father, but Drake. And next to him lay Lexi, then I saw dad...
He was calling my name, telling me we needed to get out of the building. I ran over to him quickly.
I hadn't noticed, but I had somehow turned into a little kid again. I ran to dad, and he scooped me up in his arms and ran to the stairs.
Suddenly, when I looked up at dad again, he was in his old suit.
He ran down the stairs quickly, we got to the lobby. Just before we could get out the building collapsed.
Somehow I survived, and I wandered the rubble looking for dad.
I found somebody, I didn't recognize who they were at first, then I turned back into my older self. The man turned to face me.
It was Moros...a wicked grin spread across his face.
"One year." He said.
I found myself screaming in bed. A cold sweat ran down my face.
I grabbed my cell and tried to call Drake. No answer.
I was sure he had his phone, but he just never answered it.
I left a message, hoping he would call back.
"Drake, it's Tim...again. Listen, I know you probably don't want to talk to me but...I just need to talk to you right now man. I'm freaking out, and your one of the only people I could go to when I was freaking. Please call back bro."
I hung up the phone, then decided to call Max.
I dialed the number quickly and held the phone up to my ear.
On the last ring there was an answer. I heard Max curse under his breath, then there was a loud "thud", then his sleepy voice finally came over, louder.
"Tim...?" He yawned.
"Can we talk?" I asked.
"Tim, do you have any idea what time it is?" He asked. There was another loud thud, followed by him cursing again.
"Not really...what's that noise?" I asked.
"Nothing, I just kept tripping." He replied.
"Oh...well, do you have the time to talk?"
"Buy me a coffee, then I'll talk." He yawned again.
"Fine, don't you live down the street from a Starbucks?" I asked.
"I might." He laughed.
"Meet me there in an hour."
"Dude... do you know what my dad would say if he caught me sneaking out to go hang with you?" Max asked.
"Ground you?" I replied, throwing on a pair of sweats over my boxers.
"Well, actually he would give me cash and say 'have fun kiddo', but never mind that."
"Heh, just meet me at the damn Starbucks." I laughed, hanging up.
I threw on a sweater, slipped on my boots, and left.
I flew all the way there without my suit...bad idea. It was way to cold out.
I took a bag with me with a pair of shoes, that way I didn't have to wear these things in front of Max.
I landed in a near by ally and changed shoes. I left the boots in a empty dumpster.
I walked across the street to meet up with Max, who was waiting outside the Starbucks.
The closer I got the more I noticed he looked beat. I guess we both weren't sleeping well lately.
"How do I look?" He asked.
"You look like you could use that coffee." I laughed.
"So do you." He smirked.
I opened the door and we walked in. We got our drinks and sat down in the corner, next to the window. There was some cheesy music playing over the speakers.
"So, what's going on with you and Drake?" Max asked.
"You didn't hear? Drake's gone missing. He ran away." I said, using my straw to mess with my drink.
"Oh...really? Well I'm...sorry to hear that." Max said. He acted like he was trying to choose his words very carefully for some reason.
"You doing better?" I asked.
"What do you mean?"
"The school thing..." I whispered.
"Oh, yeah...yeah, I'm doing fine." He whispered back. "You?"
"Oh yeah I'm uh...great." I said. I had the strangest feeling... it was like tension was just building up between us and one of us was gonna wind up...I don't know....killing the other. It was just one of thoughs things you could sense, you know?
Suddenly the doors opened and a guy came running in with a gun. He pointed it at the person behind the counter.
"Give me all the money in the register." He said in a slow, calm voice.
"O-ok...ok..." The kid said, wide eyed.
Max and I both stood at the same time, and walked up behind the robber. It was almost like it was planned.
I put the guy in a head lock just as Max took the gun from the mans hand.
Somebody else came in the door, but I couldn't see who. I felt a hand grab my shoulder and pull me off of the thug. I looked back to see Nightwing standing there. He pushed me aside and grabbed the man, then through him onto the counter.
Nightwing grabbed the gun from Max and put it up against the thugs head.
"How about I blow YOU away like you almost did that poor kid?" He asked in a low, menacing voice.
"T-the guns a dud...it's not loaded." The thug stuttered nervously.
Max and I looked at each other for a second, then back at the other two.
"A dud is it?" Nightwing laughed, then pointed the gun up at the ceiling and shot it off. Everybody, including myself, jumped. Nightwing was the only one who didn't.
"Let's see if this 'dud' can kill a person." Nightwing smirked, putting the gun beside the mans head.
"Stop!" The thug screamed.
"Stop? Stop?! Would you have stopped? Huh? Would you have stopped and kept yourself from pulling the trigger on this young man?" Nightwing yelled at the thug.
"I'm sorry!" The thug cried.
"Tell it to the judge you slug!" Nightwing said, smacking the man so hard with the gun it knocked him out.
Max and I just stared for a few seconds. Nightwing looked at us and frowned.
"What are you looking at?" He asked, then looked back at the kid behind the counter. "And where's my free drink?"
Max and I walked back to our table while Nightwing demanded his drink for saving the kid. We decided it would be best to just go back to is place.
The streets were pretty busy tonight. Not that they never were, but they just seemed really busy for it being late at night.
On the way to Max's house I was telling him about the dreams, except I changed a large part of it so that he wouldn't suspect anything. I left out the fact that batman had anything to do with my dreams.
Max just laughed and told me that maybe a little bit of video games would help cure the nightmares, yet, of course, we wound up playing zombie horror games.
I looked through Max's games and sighed.
"Do you have anything besides zombies and ghosts and aliens?" I asked.
"Nope." Max laughed. "I like scary games. I love going into haunted houses too, you know, the things where people dress up and scare the crap outta you?"
"Yeah, I know what your talking about." I replied, watching him shoot down another zombie.
"It's just something about seeing people freak out that I really like you know?" He asked.
"Not really, but I suppose that's your thing." I said.
"You know it man." He replied with a big smile on his face.
-Week 4-
Death and I had been working together lately. I gotta say, he was a really good fighter.
Still, I missed having Drake around. He was like me in the sense that we both liked to joke around sometimes to mess with the villains heads.
"So, three options: we can A. Run around looking for random thugs to beat the crap out of, B. Run around looking for the villains hide-out, or, C. Help your dad fix the Bat mobile." Death said, holding up a finger for each option.
"Actually I think I'll be fine!" Dad called from under the Bat mobile. "It's almost finished!"
"Glad to hear!" Death called back.
"I think we should just go patrol the streets and look for crime." I shrugged.
"Fine by me. By the way, I'll be working under cover." Death said.
"How so?" I asked.
"Simply, I will be driving Jack's car. I'll inform you if I find anything."
"Alright, let's get to it." I replied.
"Yes...let's." Death sighed, running to get in the car.
-1 hour later-
"It's quiet tonight." I said, flying around.
"You said it." Death's voice said in my ear-piece.
"Maybe we should just head home..."
"Tim, we just received a call stating that Tom's Sushi is being robbed." Gordon said through the mic.
"Wait...again?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" Death asked in response.
"That was the place that was held up the first night I ever went out as Batman...that was the place I came face to face with Scarecrow the first time."
"Maybe he likes sushi?" Gordon asked.
"Or maybe he hates it and he is trying to drive the sushi makers out of Gotham." I joked.
"Noted." Death said.
-Tom's Sushi, 4 minutes later-
We arrived at the sushi store quickly. Death was waiting for me on top of the building.
"Who is it?" I asked. "Two-Face, Joker, or Scarecrow?"
"See for yourself..." Death replied.
I jumped down in front of the building and walked in. It was the Riddler.
"Oh great...just great..." I sighed.
"Batman! Would you like to hear a riddle?" Riddler asked.
"Not really..." I said, pulling out a batarang.
"Who thinks they can fly before they learn to walk?" Riddler asked.
"I don't want to know." I said.
"A bird. It tries to fly before it walks, but in the end, falls to its death." Riddler sighed, holding up a big golden cane with a question mark on the end.
He pointed it at me and a green laser shot from the end of it.
"Whoa!!" I yelled, jumping out of the way.
"Your the bird Batman, or should I say, Bat-boy?"
Death suddenly appeared after jumping from the vent on the ceiling. He appeared behind Riddler and poked him on the back.
"Huh?" Riddler turned around.
"What has a mouth full of Riddles, but no teeth?" Death asked, punching Riddler's mouth so hard a few teeth went flying. "The answer is: you."
"I think that's enough for one night." I said, hearing the police come to take Riddler away.
"Suit yourself, I'll keep going if your done." Death said.
"Alright, see you next time." I said, starting up my boots.
"Yeah." Death said, before I flew away.
When I was about half way home I saw one of the vampires standing on top of a building. I decided to go talk to them, but only because I needed to know if they knew where Drake was.
I landed next to him and realized it was the one that helped me in the school, Randy.
"You!" I said.
"Hey Tim." He half-smiled.
"Where's Drake?" I asked.
"How would I know?" He replied, walking the the edge of the building. "Last thing I heard about Drake was that Mike was going on some 'hunt' to look for him. He didn't take us, and he left Gary in charge."
"He didn't say where though?" I asked.
"Nope, just up and left a few days ago...listen, Tim, I need to explain to you that Mike is a little on the crazy side and...well, he took alot of the red. I don't always want to be a bad guy like I am but when he commands me to do something, I can't help but do it. I would much rather be out there with you and Drake fighting against the bad guys like that sack dude."
"Scarecrow?" I asked.
"Yeah, that guy." He said, looking back at me.
"You have no way of leaving the cult he's made?" I asked, and looked off the edge, standing next to him.
"Nope, not unless somebody takes more red and tells me I can leave, but that ain't gonna happen. After all, Mike has all of it. Hell Tim, I bet he's taken all the f***ing red he could." Randy sighed.
"I'll uh...have to keep this in mind." I said.
"Just please don't view me as the bad guy." He said, looking back off the building.
"You got it." I said.
"You better go before the other two get back, they ain't as... friendly as I am." Randy said.
"Alright then, maybe when they find a place for us to go to school I'll see you around." I said, jumping of the edge.
"Happy Halloween." I heard him call before I was out of distance to hear him.
