They'd have to seriously alter the costume though. I hate that rubber suit garbage. They can give him a cape that's made out of magic fabric, but can't give him a suit made of magic fabric and thus stick him in a bulky, ugly, stiff looking piece of ass?

That so called magic cape is based on actual science of shape-memory fibres. And i'd take a realistic combat armor over running around in skin tight latex any day. It didnt even work very well in Superman Returns and they tried to update that suit but your never gonna be able to recreate the exact same look as in the comics

Point it, it's not real. It's based on a real concept, but it ain't real. Are you telling me that there are no light-weight, bullet and tear resistent fabrics in use or even in development?

Personally, I think the whole suit of armour thing looks like ass and doesn't look like Batman. It's inflexible and bulky and an unfortunate relic from the Tim Burton movies, where Michael Keaton wasn't built enough to fill out a skin-tight suit. I'd rather have Batman look like Batman, even if it takes a ton of Phlebotinum to do so. They already did it with the cape and grappel gun, why not the armour? Why does the armour, of all things, have to exist?

Keep in mine that's a character not wearing a cape, that goes out in the middle of the day, doesn't have any special looking gloves, mask, boots or gloves like Batman does.and is shown from all angles. In other words, it's all out there with nothing to distract or hide the fact that he's weearing tights, and it still looks good.

Off topic here, but that was frekken sweet, I watched that on TV, and it got me back into playing and watching Basketball.
