So, I'm kind of a composer, been writing music (mostly just for fun) for a while.
This is a six minute piece for the first part of Knightfall, how I experience it emotionally. It takes a different approach than the traditional Burton sound for Batman, it's a bit more focused on the tragic/messiah complex facets of Batman than the dark, from the shadows sound. The reason for that is that, as a reader, I felt Bane was that in this story, not Batman. We were with Batman, but Bane was the unknown. So, Bane's theme is much more dark and threatening.
Bruce/Batman's theme, then, is a self-sacrificing, tragic and doomed sound.
I'll eventually be putting together a little music video together with some images from the comics to compliment the music and show where I was coming from, but I figured I'd post this here. It's the first track that plays.

(The quality isn't optimal, just because of the length; it's a bit compressed.)
The end is very "un-Batman", because it's his total and complete defeat, something we've never seen on the screen.
I will be doing a piece or two for Azrael, and Bruce's return. Thanks for listening!
