I play pc version .

In Final chapter i want to check Shelly is dead or alive ,
and i see he is stand on the boat !!!

Yes yes i saw that every time he gets on the boat ,but ever thought about it as being a mere programming 'error'?...

After all i don't see any reason why the boat would explode just as he steps onto it ,and besides ,he doesn't have to reach the pier ,if Jenny dies say at the church ,Shelly would have to run down and reach for the pier and run by the mercenaries all around the village ,luckily he never gets to reach the pier because every damn mercs shoots him down like a target practice ,and when you reach his body you'll see that the option to use adrenalin is not available ,in other words

His death is suppose to demonstrate that the people like him are more deserving to die than mass murderers like Lynch and Kane ,"Shelly has found God" said Rific in the Breakout ,but did he truly found the lord or was he simply weak and seeking for the invisible hand to soften his misery ?...

Shelly deserved to die ,it wouldn't make sense if he lives...

But i still think the funniest part is when Kane asks Rific "Do you want to come or not ?" to which he replies "I don't know" ...

It's a terrible sense of humor i know ...

My theory is this... In that mission, the AI for shelly is given a path to run on. Normally the explosion is supposed to kill him before he makes it to the boat.

but for whatever reason it didn't kill him. I think it's a bug in the game, but he made it to the boat. It's a very good find either way. Congrats.
