How many challenge maps does the regular version have (360, not the ps3 with the joker levels)? I've heard 8 from one guy, and 16 from another...

There are 4 Combat and 4 Predator in the 360 version, I believe.

The PS3 has 8/8 due to the additional Joker Challenge Maps.

There will be 16 Challenge Maps, 8 of which will be Combat, the other 8 will be Invisible Predator. If you get the PS3 version, you will get 8 more exclusive maps, these will be where you play as the Joker. If you preorder the game from GameStop, EB Games, or Game.co.uk, you will get 1 more map which will be the "Dem Bones" Scarecrow Challenge Map.

Playstation mag says there are 16 total, 8 in which are Joker levels in the PS3. So that'd mean the 360 has a total of 8 maps.

I think it's been cleared up. Someone who seems to reliable said there were 8 of each; combat and predator.

Then there's the DLC maps. And probably more in store in the future. Or hopefully more in store.

Correct, but that doesn't include the Scarecrow map or other downloadable maps. Not sure if Crime Alley is included in the 8 combat maps or if it's an additional one.

Phew, had me worried there for a sec, does Crime Alley class as a challenge map? It sounds more like a proper story level to me but I haven't read much of it to be honest.

So there are 18 maps for the 360 version including Dem Bones and Crime Alley and 26 for the PS3 version.

Crime Alley is a challenge map, but the wording on Gamestop's website leads me to believe that it's just a code to unlock it early rather than having to accomplish whatever tasks in the game would normally unlock it. So it may be 17 and 25 rather than 18 and 26. That's something Keir may be able to clean up. Someone quickly....shine the Keir signal! :)

No I'm pretty sure that you just get the Crime Alley map for free with the CE. Everyone will be able to DL it about a month after release I believe.
