Hi, i wanted to know if WADMerger takes a long time to load for everyone or is it just mine? Because i have no life, i timed the amount of time it took for the program to 'initialize' and it took 4 minutes and 17 seconds. Is this normal?

theres something wrong wadmerger loads in seconds on both my machines, one win98 the other win xp. How much ram have you got and are there kots of programs running in the background.

Only the version with animation editor does this because I have all the versions of wadmerger

one version of admerger loaded real slow on my pc, try getting the new dat file from TRWad, this sorted things out for me, i think it only works with v. 1.9

You will find some interresting things there. If you have readed this, you should know you use an old version and I'm unable to offer any support for these (cause I don't have that version myself):

ok. i downloaded revision 3 and it loads faster, but it freezes up, so i press ctrl+alt+delete and it says it is not responding. any suggestions?

this is exactly what happened to me, i dont think its not responding, but pressing ctrl+alt+delete causes it to stop responding as it is still loading up, ( i think) it takes so long to load cos it has a corrupted dat file ( well thats what it was with me) download the uncorrupted dat file trwads site

that worked for me

no it didn't work... i got a message when i opened the program saying "Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range"... i didn't have any of the problems mentioned in the readme with the newest version... it just doesnt respond sometimes

If you have not got all the runtime files, you can get them from here: http://www.completelyfreesoftware.com/vb_runtime_files.html

It is usually best to install the lower versions first, up to the higher versions.

it works fine now thank though! the only problem is that it has difficulty building the lara skin object.(theres more info in another thread)
