Just a little idea that Eidos and Free Radical may want to think about.
The Mapmaker is a great addition to the game, and I've got to admit I think I've spent more time copying and creating maps than I have actually playing the game.
Now I know people are posting their own maps and sharing with all, but I'd like to have some bigger, outdoor maps like the ones already included in the Arcade Custom section of the game. I just wish you could make levels like these in the Mapmaker.
So anyway, my idea is this:
We all know you can buy memory packs, but wouldn't it be good if there was a memory pack out there, complete with say 15 to 20 maps already saved on it, that we can go and buy and just plug straight in. The only problem I feel is that large maps would take up ALL the free memory on the Mapmaker and more, so we wouldn't be able to load them into the Mapmaker.
Also, I wonder if these 'memory cards' could possibly contain more tilesets and weapons etc. which would, in my opinon completely open up the Mapmaker to a new level of map design.
I know this is probably never gonna happen, but hey, I can dream!!! (And I'm sure it would make money!).
Maybe MMM could use his contacts to see if it's possible.
Anyway, let me know what you think.
