Again that can easily be speculation since the viral marketing just began, ofcourse i do believe that is the case regarding the trailer as all B:AA needs is promotions now. :)

It's odd that people are now saying the game will display in 1080p since the box art <at least for the PS3 version> clearly states the game is 720p only. We know the Xbox 360 will scale to 1080p but it's just an upconversion. I'll do some digging in the forums but I'm also fairly positive Keir confirmed that the game is native 720p.

Edit: Ahhh, found it. It was one of Chip's posts in a board asking about 1080i support.

Confirmed 720P on the final release.

I do have 480 disabled on my system. I only have 1080P selected on my system. 1080i is not a good gaming resolution.

Maybe one of our fine Mods can toss out the question to the folks at Rocksteady/Eidos and get reconfirmation on the game's resolution? Just in case they have been able to upgrade it since we last heard.

I've seen Xbox360 covers that show 1080p, but never a PS3 one. All Xbox games show 1080p though, because the system has a scaler. I'd post the box art from Gamestop but the Mods have taken it down every time someone posts it. Maybe since the announcement has been made on their website it'll be ok now, but until I hear for certain I won't post it.

Even though the box says 1080p, it's not TRUE 1080p because it upscales as previously mentioned. Only PS3 does true 1080p but there are VERY few 1080p games out there anyway so it doesn't matter. :P

I just want to make sure, but I'll just go by what Chip says and mark it as 720p for consoles and PC (even though PC can do 1080p easily, it's not going to be for this game most likely, we'll have to wait and see).

There are /very/ few true 1080p games out there period. I think Xbox360 has... less than 5. PS3 has somewhere in the mid twenties and almost all of those are sports titles. I'd be thrilled if they've managed to upgrade it to run in true 1080p but given that I'm looking at the PS3 box art right now and it plainly says 720p, and that's what our Mods have told us I'm going to have to keep my expectations there until I see updated news from an official source.

I've never liked sixaxis controls either. I don't mind if they're in there, as long as they are optional. Although I /think/ most developers have learned from Sony's mistake with Lair and pretty much always offer the option to turn them on or off.

Some games have made it work well. Uncharted and Resistance: FOM are two examples were sixaxis wasn't a pain.

It isn't that there aren't examples where it was well done that bothers me. I don't like it because in virtually every game they're used in it seems like they're just tacked on so Sony can say 'Hey look, we've got motion control in this game' rather than them being an integral part of gameplay. Lair was the first game that tried to build a whole game around it and they failed miserably. Flower on the other hand does a great job with them. I just don't like the tacked-on feeling they give me in most instances.

I haven't played Lair so I don't know how sixaxis plays in it, but I'll take your word for it. I get where your coming from about it. Thank god that Grand theft auto had an option for it! Have you tried flying a helicopter with sixaxis? Terrible, just terrible.

Not a fan of GTA, but I can say that Lair was virtually unplayable with Sixaxis controls. It just wasn't sensitive enough.

Probably one of the biggest controversial creator rights dispute besides the one with Superman. I had just heard about it like 2 weeks ago, and started reading Moores run.This was about 40-50 years of dispute finally resolved. Disputes between Moore/ Gaiman, Todd Mcfarlane, and Mick Anglo (orignal creator). You can read about it on wiki. Its pretty interesting stuff, and any comic book fan understands the importance of this.

Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman runs that were back to back are considered the greatest in comics. The issues have been incredible hard to come by because lawsuits kept anything from being reprinted.

Alot of people havent heard about Miracleman/Marvelman. He was the answer to Captain Marvel being cancelled in the United Kingdom. Then lawsuits/copyright stuff ceased it up until now, where Marvel has the rights to reprint the stuff. Gaiman apparently had a big part in getting this ball rolling.

i will agree with you in the fact that wow is not going to be doing any favours with dcu at all, i myself wouldnt pay for more than one mmo,but lots of people do have multiple accounts on different mmos so might do well in sales,you never know.

imo, i just dont think dcu will be any good. i think the gameplay will be its demise,not the costs for it.

yeah ODST will be a nice chance to get back into Halo multi. I had a blast with it. But it does lag sometimes and saying all of the players are kids that whine while their moms make them lunch is a streyotype.....that's only about 1/4th of em by my estimation.

Mad Dog later escaped and continued his murderous ways. Added to his list of victims then were Arkham’s wife and daughter, whom Hawkins raped, killed and dismembered. He was caught again and became one of the first patients of Arkham’s new insane asylum. Again having sessions with Arkham, Mad Dog taunted the doctor by saying that his family enjoyed what he did to them before he killed them.

A year after Hawkins killed Arkham’s family, Arkham had the murderer strapped to an electroshock couch for further therapy. Instead, Mad Dog was electrocuted by the device, and his death was considered by the authorities to be an accident.

Aside from making this game, delaying it to make sure it would be a really good game, showing a genuine desire to please batman fans, given us plenty of info without ruining the game, and given us plenty of non-demo news, yea I'm pretty pissed.

I do. Not for a while for the lack of funds. But, I've been there to see some IMAX films, The Dark Knight being one of them; been there for an acting audition once, and I was there for the after party to Fast and Furious that the company I was interning with got passes to. However, the cast were gone by the time we got there... I like it, though. I've been wanting to stop into more of the places while there, but maybe next time. It's fun, like a toned-down version of a mini Las Vegas with the Neon all over the place, ha.

The Joker does have a son that's a slightly major character in the DCU...but so far there's been no mention that he's in the game. The character wouldn't fit in this game though really anyways, maybe when Rocksteady makes the open (Gotham) world version. :D
