This might be seen as unrelated but hey i thought you guys out of anyone would appreciate this artwork the most.

I've been a HUGE fan of the thief series since the first time i laid my hands on these awesome games. And i have always had a huge love for medievil thiefs and im in the process of getting a full sleve tattoo done and part of that design was a thief. So i thought hey why not garrett as my thief as he is obviously the best and this is how it turned out.

Once again sorry if you guys find this too unrelated but hey i think you will like the artwork :)

It's only part one of three as well but here it is!

nice ink, what you could have is a small jeweled piercing just about where the right eye should be on the tattoo ;)

Impressive. That must have cost a pretty penny; tattoos aren't cheap these days, especially if the artist is top notch.

Maybe it's just the minimalist in me, but if I was ever to get a Thief tattoo it would be a glyph

Serious props for your dedication though!

agreed, Shadow.
But If I were ever to get a tattoo of anything, it would be simple lines and symbols. Not a scene or illustration.

Exactly! It's very rarely that you see illustration tattoos that can pull it off.

This comes close, though I'm not sure if I'd have put it on my forearm!

I remember seeing a similar thread around.

I remember seeing a similar thread around.

AFAIK, this thread was first an apart thread, that has been merged with the art thread and now has been un-merged again.

I clicked this thread to see what it's about and saw the tattoo that looked vaguely familiar to me, when I scrolled down I saw that I already replied to this thread, which is totally weird if you haven't.
but my post date helped me out understand: 07-16-2009 12:07 PM

that's some time ago...

Why did this thread un-merge again?

Yes.

Thanks...hm...but...I didn't mean in the sense that I doubted elves were traditionally creatures of the wood..I meant in Thief...where I don't recall elves...unless u can remind me ;)

I was just beying mean. I know you poked me. Just wanted to boast with my tatoo. It's so vague, it's interpretable. If I was to get a Thief tatoo I would not choose something different. A flower is enough.

Pics 4 Proof:rasp:

I've got none... but then again I don't know if I want any. I don't feel the need for something so 'permanent'

Hmmm much better than Teasza's in the palm.

Still I would prefer Teasza's cause this tatoo is HUUUGE. Still excellent work on the tatooer!!!

I know, teasing :p

Yeah, pretty much. I'm trying out a new staining ink akin to henna that I've heard will last more than six months, so if that works well I'll stick to it. It's not really that much of a problem to draw it back in twice a year.

Haven't check the boards for a while, so even though this threads only a couple of months out i hope I'm not bumping a dead thread.

As far as what people ask about him? I get 95% of the time "Oh hey isn't that the guy from Assassins Creed" or "Why do you have the grim reaper on your arm" My responses "No that guy dresses in all white" and "Since when did the grim reaper carry a quiver or even look anything like that".. But there is the occasional fan that will pick it out and recognize its Garrett which is pretty cool :)

And great idea about the glyph symbols as well.

I don't see the resemblance between Garrett and the grim reaper though...

Altair is one I could understand, with a the hype around assassins creed 2 everyone wearing a hooded cloak looks like him :P
